CHAPTER 16, PART 5 - REPRIEVE
~*~ Alright! I've got another new review *smiles ear to ear*. What would I do without my reviewers *sigh*. Just keep the feedback coming guys! ;)
To ninijun: Hey, thanx for reviewing! *hug* I'm glad you like my story. And I'm sorry about the chapters being cut short, it frustrates the hell out of me too, but as of now there's no help for it. It's the damn 3ds's fault *sigh*. But don't worry, at least I can still update right? *wink* Anyway, I hope you'll drop me a line again soon, and your English is fine, don't worry about it. ^_^ Thanx again! Love ya lots!
AND TO YOU READING THIS: Wow, I've got 90 reviews now. Goes to show how many people love what I'm writing, and it really warms me on the inside and makes me want to do my best everytime I sit down to add another chapter. Thanx guys! This story would mean nothing if not for you loyal readers and reviewers. So kudos to you! Happy reading! ^_^ ~*~

Chapter 16, Part V - Reprieve
Kagome thought his parents' marriage was a romantic one, and she didn't know why Inuyasha was adverse to her finding out about his family. But she left it alone for now, floating happily in her own marriage and she didn't want to pick a fight with him and burst her bubble just yet.
Inuyasha on the other hand found his wife thoroughly refreshing and intriguing. She was so unlike any English lady he's known so far (Kikyou was no exception). He still found it quite a surprise that he married the one woman who liked the same things he did and enjoyed the same hobbies he had. In short, Inuyasha has found his equal.
Despite her still tender age, Kagome seemed to possess a mature mind (except when she was being rebellious); her wit, sense of humor and razor-sharp tongue was always present to drive him out of his mind. Inuyasha wouldn't have her any other way.
He also found out they shared so many interests, much to his delight. Once he thought to impress her with his hunting and tracking prowess when he took his wife with him to hunt. Kagome ended up turning the tables on him and duly impressed him instead with her own skills. He'll never admit it out loud, but she could give him a run for his money. She was also a remarkable markswoman, well-versed in firing a pistol or a crossbow. She told him she was even better with a bow, thanks to her cousin (the one who taught her how to ride bare-back too). Inuyasha's interest was so piqued by what seems like a very unusual family she had. His wife was brought up in an entirely different manner than was normal and he can't wait to meet her grandfather who was behind it all. He promised her he'd take her back to see her family soon and he was gratified to see his wife's face light up with so much joy and exuberance that it was infectious. Kagome never stopped smiling for days after he made her that promise.
His wife was also a voracious reader. When he first brought her to see his library, he actually thought she was going to swoon. She wasted no time perusing his impressive collection, and he found himself actually regretting that he showed her inside the room. Kagome couldn't be distracted when she had her nose buried in a book, and it literally took all of his powers of persuasion (and seduction) to coax his wife to focus on him. After that heated episode in the library, they spent many of their evenings there once they finished eating their dinner. They would read in companionable silence, and Inuyasha was yet amazed at how comfortable he was with her even in silence.
Kagome had a good head with figures and also had some business acumen when it came to shipping. It was no wonder as that was primarily how her grandfather amassed his fortune. She knew the ins and outs of it, and Inuyasha was certain she could continue handling his investments were anything to happen to him.
Most of all, his wife was such a sensual creature. After her initial shyness faded away, Kagome now had the power to wrap him around her little finger and wind him tighter than a bowstring with just a look. He couldn't get enough of her, couldn't seem to be close enough to satiating the terrible hunger she awakened in him. Never before had a woman undone him the way she did. And that was because of her uninhibited response to his every kiss, his every touch. Kagome never held anything back when he made love to her, making Inuyasha do the same and want her even more.
She was probably going to be the death of him.
He knew it was disloyal to Kikyou whenever he happened to compare them and he always felt guilty after. But there was always the undeniable fact that Kikyou and his wife were worlds apart. Although he loved Kikyou with all his heart, she never brought him that much joy that Kagome did. If he was honest with himself, he'll admit that the king was right: marrying Miss Kagome Rose Woodbine had to be the best thing that happened to him.
