Kagome wiggled out of
Inuyasha's arms and rushed over to the couple on the field.

SANGO!! SANGO!!!
she yelled as she ran.
Inuyasha walked over to
his brother, he could see how Sesshoumaru's hand rested on the Tensaiga, the
life giving sword.

Sess, what is the meaning of this? asked Inuyasha.

I found them and I revived them. I recognize the taijya, but
I do not know who the other person is, said Sesshoumaru with his emotionless
voice.

So they are alive?
-
Yes, they are now. They still need healing but they do not
smell of death anymore, not ordinary death anyway, said Sesshoumaru.

Thank you brother, thank you, said Inuyasha and for the first
time in his life, the hanyou bowed to somebody.
Sesshoumaru grunted a bit
embarrassed and disappeared into the air like a white bolt of lightning.

Hey Sess, what do you mean ordinary death?!! shouted Inuyasha

thinking went into overdrive and she felt for their pulses, both were breathing
and alive. "Thank you Gods, thank you." she sent the prayers as she
checked them for injuries.
A soft moan came from her
dear friend and sister and Kagome managed to move Sango a bit so the slayer lay
on the ground. No, no wounds could be seen. Even if she saw the hole where her
arrow had penetrated the slayer suit, there was no wound. "That is odd, she
should have one nasty wound here, but there is nothing." thought Kagome and
took another look.
Inuyasha came over and
checked the other person on the field. He sniffed the guy lightly. "He is not
human and he is not a demon, but what the hell is he? He has a faint odour of
death, but he is not dead, I can hear his heartbeats. " Inuyasha asked
silently as he looked over the black haired man. He seemed to be without wounds,
in some sort of deep sleep but not wounded.

Is he ok Inuyasha? asked Kagome.

Yes, I do not smell blood on him, said Inuyasha. "“ What about
Sango?
-
She seems ok as well, although the wound where I hit her with
my arrow"¦ it is gone. It's like it's never been there at all, said Kagome and
frowned.

What?
-
I telling you the truth, she has no wound Inuyasha, come and
look for your self.
Inuyasha moved to kneel
next to Sango's body and as he examined the hole in the slayer suit he was met
with the same informatiohe hhe had no wound, she was healed.

B-but how? She is just a human, it would taken her weeks to
heal that wound,

I know Inuyasha.

I don't like this Kagome.

Ok Kagome. Come, let's move them from this stinky place, said
Inuyasha and picked up Sango.
It was then his nose was
struck with another form of information. "She is pregnant????" But for
now he let that small piece of earth quake rest. It was more important that she
was healed. Inuyasha managed to hoist the man up on his shoulder and carried him
away while Kagome was waiting with Sango.
Soon they had the
unconscious couple safe away from the battlefield. Inuyasha had found a stream
with cold clear water and Kagome took her red scarf and dipped into the water
and began to wash the face of Sango.

Kagome looked at her
friend with confusion shimmering in her eyes.

Yes, mated. If he was a demon she would be his wife or
something like that. I can see bite marks on her throat as well.

You are kidding me right? I mean"¦ it has only been two days"¦

Kagome shrieked and moved
Sango's head to see two distinct bite marks. "Holy shit, that looks like"¦ No
it can be, vampires are not for real." she thought when she saw the marks.
"But you did not think that demons existed either until you fell into the
well Kagome." said a voice in the back of her head.

Inuyasha, do you know what a vampire is? asked Kagome with a
low shaky voice.

Yeah sure. That brat of a brother you have showed me pictures
of a guy with fangs, black cape. Drackulla or something like that he called him.

Dracula, but he is not real, or do you believe that a
creature like him can exist? asked Kagome.

Yes, creatures that are living off other living creatures, or
in this case, drinking human blood. Yeah I am pretty sure they exist.

I think that he is a vampire Inuyasha.
Kagome pointed towards
the man on the ground. And if someone she ever had met could be called vampire
it would be this guy. His utterly pale skin, the pointed ears, the cape, all
fitted into the category of vampire. She saw Inuyasha sniff the man again and
then he nodded.

If I remember what your brother told me "“ vampires are undead
and needs to feed, they need human blood to survive.

Yes that is true.
-
He has a faint smell of death on him, and so does Sango. She
is just like him.
Inuyasha saw Kagome mouth
hang open and she sat back, unable to keep her balance anymore. This was just
too much for her to handle.

Are you ok Kagome? asked Inuyasha and sat down next to her.

Yeah, I am overwhelmed that's all, said Kagome and it sound
like she was exhausted.

I am sure Sango will tell us everything as soon as she wakes
up.

If she wakes up Inuyasha.

When she wakes up Kagome, don't believe anything else. She
will wake up, it is only a matter of time. So don't ever think that she will not
ok!
Kagome nodded. "How
can you do that Inuyasha? How do you manage to raise my spirit when I am feeling
down?" she thought and moved to lean on the hanyou. All they had to do was
wait. Sango and the man was going to wake up, it was only a matter of time, just
like Inuyasha said.

Sango was in a very warm
place, she felt a peace inside her heart that could not be compared to anything
she ever had felt before. She smiled gently when she realized that she must be
dead. "It does not feel so bad, it feels rather good." She thought as she
wandered through the pink and purple mists. "I wonder where I am, and where
is my husband?" she looked around, but even if she felt lonely she was not
afraid. This was a peaceful place, a place of healing of the heart.
As she walked further
into the mists she could hear faint voices. "I recognize those voices, it is
Kagome-chan and Inuyasha"¦ But why are they here? Did they not defeat Naraku? Are
they dead too?" Sango began walking towards the voices.
"KAGOME-CHAN!!!" she yelled mentally as she forced her feet to move
faster over the soft ground. "INUYASHA!! Can you
hear me???!!"

Kagome moved from her
position when Sango began to stir around on the ground. She cradled the taijya
in her lap and began talking softly to her.

Sango-chan, we are here. You are safe. Wake up and tell us
what happened, said Kagome.
-
He is also waking up, said Inuyasha and pointed towards the
man.
-
Talk to him Inuyasha, perhaps it can soothe them. It looks
like they are having a nightmare.

I don't want to.

Inuyasha snorted but
moved to sit next to the pale man.

Hey, time to wake up. I want you to wake up and tell me what
the hell happened to Sango, said Inuyasha with a grumpy voice.

S-Sango"¦?

Wow, it spoke!!

Sango!!!!!
The man was up in two
seconds flat. Inuyasha jumped away and flexed his claws, ready to strike. But
the man pao ato attention to the hanyou instead he looked around and when he saw
Sango on the ground he cried out her name again.

D had walked a barren
landscape. It was just like a desert. No grass, no trees, no nothing. Just an
endless flat and barren land. His heart was twisting in pain. He had lost his
love; he had lost his beloved wife, his pregnant wife. "God, what ever did I
do to deserve a fate like this?" he wanted to cry but he had no tears to
shed. "Sango my love, why did you do it? SANGO!!" Then he heard
voices, so very faint that he for a moment thought that he might had imagined
them. And they came floating over the wind, he could hear them say his beloved
Sango's name and he moved towards the sound. He had to know.

She was there, she was
alive, she was safe. He cradled her inside his arms, not caring that a young
woman and a strange looking male stared at him. His wife was with him and she
was alive, that was the only thing that mattered to him. His hand moved lower
and he placed his hand over her womb. "Are you safe as
well daughter?"

Hey, what the hell do you think you are doing? snarled
Inuyasha and was ready to kill the man for touching Sango in such intimate way.
-
Sango, love, wake up. Please wake up, begged D with thick
voice ignoring the demanding voice.
Kagome had no clue to how
to react to the intimate scene that was displayed before her very eyes. She
actually waited for Sango to wake up and slap the man for touching her.
No one could have
prepared them for what they were about to witness.
Sango opened her eyes and
she smiled.

Husband, you are safe? she whispered.
-
Sango!!
He lowered his head and
kissed her gently. He could no longer hold back the tears that burned behind his
eyelids.
