After stepping out of the room and making sure he was no longer in Bankotsu's line of sight or hearing range, Jakotsu stopped holding back the tears that had been fighting to make themselves known as he slid down the side of the wall and hid his face behind his hands. Though ashamed of his behavior, Jakotsu couldn't find the strength to make himself stop.
It wasn't as though Bankotsu's words had really effected him, but that he had been under so much pressure since he met the on the other side of the wall that he was bound to lose his control eventually. It wasn't everyday that he met a man he was actually attracted to and then to almost lose him to a hanging, break him out of jail while assaulting a lawman and go on the run all within twenty four hours. And to add to all that, Jakotsu knew it would not be long before he was abandoned once more. After all, their arrangement was only temporary.
Deciding he had had enough of pitying himself a few minutes later, Jakotsu wiped his face clean of tears with the back of his sleeve and climbed to his feet. Even if he would not be able to stay with him much longer, there was still plenty of things that needed to be done tonight; including seeing to their dinner. If he timed things just right, he could get in and bath before dinner was finished and would be able to serve Bankotsu once more.
Liking the sound of that, Jakotsu left the hall in search of the barkeep to place his order after calling into the room that he would see to dinner. Already knowing his way around saloons, it did not take him long at all to accomplish his goal and begin making his way back to the bathing room, but even then, he still met Bankotsu already making his way back out of the room.
"I'm going to bath. I will bring supper up once it's ready," Jakotsu informed him before continuing into the room without letting him get a good look at his face in case any tear tracks remained to inform him of his recent break down. Though Bankotsu had originally planned on asking him what was being served, the look on Jakotsu's face and his obvious attempt to avoid eye contact clearly stated he was in no mood to talk. Hoping he would feel differently after supper, Bankotsu held his tongue and continued out of the room.
