Why the Dog Howls At The Moon

A/N: WOOO HOOO! great news not only have i gotten 1000 hits on this story but i have also just recently gotten a beta! She has recently been bussy so we havent been able to acully sit down and talk yet but i dont have one i promies lol. So wich that good news here is the next chapter.


Befor anyone could believe it the ceremony was there. This was the first time Anaminé stood in the court yard with Sesshomaru and his family to greet the guest. Now she sat out in the garden where the Ceremony was being held. She was on a lavish outlay of pillows holding her son as others conversed. Sesshomaru and his father talked with other lords about business between their respective companies and other things that pertained to treaties and such.

She looked over to Izayoi who had Yuka in her arms as other women ohed and awed over the new princess. Lord Tanashi had her other daughter Misaki. Anaminé gave a soft chuckle and looked down at her son.

“Tell me your sisters have no problem meeting all their new friends why do you refuse to go to anyone else” Anaminé whispered to the sleeping boy in her arms.

“Because he is smart he is making sure he is in the presence of the most beautiful woman here at all times” A male voice rang.

Anaminé looked up and her eyes lit up to see her friend Kouga. She hadn’t been present when he arrived due to her having to feed the babies, it made her happy to see her friend.
He sat down on the pillows next to her looking down at the small infant.

“How are things back home?” Anaminé asked

“Okay everyone was worried about you untill Sesshomaru showed up now everyone is chomping at the bit to see the babies especially Jakotsu he is already talking about all the new infant dresses his shop has started carrying” Hiten’s voice rang.

Anaminé laughed “They certainly are going to be spoiled aren’t they”

“With all of us what do you expect you where always our princess and now our princess has kids so they get the same treatment” Kouga said

Anaminé blushed some “I really want to thank you guys all of you for always being there for me threw everything the name calling my parents the kidnapping. You guys where always there beside me”

“How couldn’t we Anaminé your what brought us all together your what keeps us together. With out you we wouldn’t be where we are now me and mutt face might of still be trying to kill each other Suikotsu and his brothers might of still of been in that gang of theirs….” Kouga said smiling sympathetically towards her

“And I very well could be dead from all the stupid fights I use to get into” Hiten said

“It’s because of your gentle nature and kind words that some how knocked us back to our senses” Hiten added.

“You saw the real us behind our tough and rough exteriors just like you can see the real Sesshomaru, from what I hear from Kagome and Inu Yasha he is actually dare I say it nice to you, treats you like you can walk on water.” Kouga said glancing over to Sesshomaru

“You have to understand him to see it Kouga he puts up Mr. Hardass and cold hearted to protect himself. Long ago befor any of us befor Japan was even what it is now his mother died. He was very close to his mother and back then pretty much all demons hate humans and vice versa then hundreds of years later his father married one and had a son that he treated with love and such something he never really did with him so he cant to resent them he was dealt two big blows and so he created a barrier to protect himself” Anaminé explained.

“Still he its been years and you didn’t go on a I hate the world rampage when your parents died” Kouga said

“No instead I went on a I failed I don’t want to be alive put me in a black hole I’m done thinking process” Anaminé said

“Either way all is good for now the south hasn’t done anything lately which is good” Hiten said

“Yeah but they aren’t done yet they are just waiting for the perfect moment they could of killed me several times they left me alive as some type of statement the princess wants Sesshomaru and she is willing to do anything” Anaminé said

“But what they don’t know is that my demon powers have woken up add my training to that and I’m not someone that they can push around anymore I’m now a Princess of the west and have 2 other lands as well as Kouga’s tribe who controlled the mountains and central trade routes at one time all behind me and watching out for me so they would be stupid to try anything” Anaminé added.

“You have a point there” Kouga said

Sesshomaru walked over to the group of friends that consisted of his wife. He cleared his throat as he approached them.

“May I have our son the great elder is about to start the blessing” Sesshomaru said

“Yeah but he still isn’t going to anyone I don’t know why he is like this today” Anaminé said handing Sesshomaru their son so because to move his arms and whimper as he was removed from the safety of his mothers arms. Kouga and Hiten helped Anaminé up she was soon handed Yuka and Inu Taisho held Misaki. The three adults stood holding the babies in front of the Great Elder

“The gods have blessed us with a beautiful spring day, for a blessed occasion. There is never a happier day when a child is brought into our world and we have gathered to welcome not one but three new children into the Dog demons of the west. The future of the western lands. An Heir and two beautiful princesses.” The Great elder began talking so the crowd that surrounded them could hear.

The great elder walked over the family with a assistant walked next to him holding a bowl and a Sakura tree branch with leaves on it.

“These three have been born into a life of privilege but also a life of reasonability. They will for ever have protection of all of Japan as well as one of the strongest demon tribes ever known to exist. They will be a definition of what rulers should be Strong, Loving, Compassionate, and Courageous. Everything that their two parents are.” The great Elder added then turned and took the bowl and tree branch and held them up.

“I lift up this blood of dog demon tribe and ask you gods to bless it along with these three tender and precious children who will one day walk in the foot steps of their parents and all the great leaders’ befor them. Let the sun shine on them giving them the energy to play and learn during the blessed moon cradle them in its tender glow protecting them as the sleep and dream of the future they will one day create.” The great elder said befor he dipped the leaves of the branch into the blood and then gently dragging the branch across the foreheads of the infants causing them to stir from their calm states as the foreign object tickled at their noises. None of them made a sound as they where awoken.

The great elder stepped back and handed the bowl and branch back to the assistant held his hands out palms up to the sky.

“Great Gods I place the sacred blessing bestowed upon myself when I was born and I have bestowed upon many of the others here today. I bless these children in good health, hungry minds, and pure hearts. These children will forever have the blessing of the great gods above and of the protection of every here today to witness this blessing and promise” The great elder called causing everyone to cheer.


The rest of the day was spent dancing eating and drinking. It was dark by time Sesshomaru and Anaminé along with their babies made their way into their room. Anaminé place Yuka and Misaki in their bassinets as Sesshomaru laid his son in his. In their bassinet sat rabbits at the upper right corner. They where just like the one he had given to Anaminé for the difference of the color Takeshi’s was a light powder blue, Yuka’s was a powder pink and Misaki’s was a Light lavender. Anaminé smiled down at her children and went over to the bed and falling back on it with a exhausted sigh.

“Is it time to go to sleep yet?” Anaminé asked quietly.

“I’m so exhausted I was either; greeting, feeding, or entertaining today and I was up every hour on the dot to feed them so I got little sleep.” Anaminé yawned

Sesshomaru smirked and walked over to his wife removing her sandals and socks and took her hands pulling her up. He placed his hand under her chin and lifted her chin some so he could look into her tired eyes.

“I know how little sleep you got my love as did I but you where amazing today not once did you show how tired I know you really are. Tomorrow we will rest and then we can head back home and get them settled and we can finally live our perfect life together.” Sesshomaru spoke softly

“Mmm….I thought we started that when you first told me you loved me” Anaminé smiled some

“Yes but now it is truly perfect we are mated and we have three pups as beautiful as their mother.” Sesshomaru whispered bringing his lips to his mates

Anaminé smiled into the kiss wrapping her arms around his neck letting the kiss take over her completely.

A few moments passed and Sesshomaru slowly pulled away and looked into Anaminé’s eyes his face just an inch from hers. He then kissed her forehead and went over to their dresser and pulled out one of Anaminé’s night gowns for her bringing it over to her as she began to undress from the elaborate kimono she had been wearing the whole day. Sesshomaru gently removed the hair sticks and kanzashi from her hair letting the long silver threads to fall around her face.

“I’ve always preferred your hair down even when you where little it really makes your blue eyes stand out.” Sesshomaru whispered

Anaminé smiled and pulled her night gown on removing her bra after dressing. Her stomach still stuck out she hadn’t been able to exercise any she was either in the room resting or out on the landing over looking the ocean just out side their bedroom door.

“Starting as soon as the babies are some sort of schedule and we are all settled I’m running every morning” Anaminé said as she pulled their covers down and climbed into bed as Sesshomaru got himself ready for bed.

“I think I will join you that way we can take the pups it will be good for them to get the fresh air first thing in the morning” Sesshomaru said as he climbed into his bed that already held his mate.

He leaned over wrapping his arm around her waist pulling her close and kissed her.

“Though you could stay like this forever and you would still be beautiful to me” Sesshomaru smirked

Anaminé gave a soft chuckle “yeah but I want my body back to normal I want to make every man jealous of you”

“They already are my love” Sesshomaru growled into her neck.

It wasn’t long befor the night had lulled the occupants of the western castle to sleep. All was calm and all was right.
