I thought I lost you

Chapter 27


“Are you sure it is my son?” Inutaisho said normally with his back at Augustine. He’s on the balcony looking out to his lands.

“I am absolutely sure my Lord. He has the family mark in his forehead and to make sure I called out to it and it pulsed and to add to that he’s really powerful.” Augustine said from behind Inutaisho.

Inutaisho lightly laughed with the untimely compliment “that’s my son.”

“I think he got that from Izayoi.” Augustine side commented which brought Inutaisho to look at him with a raised brow. “Ahehehe…” he apologetically looks at him.

Inutaisho shifted his gaze out to the landscape “How were you able to escape.”


Flashback…

“HE MADE A BARRIER THAT ENCASED THE LIBRARY!” the Augustine said in shock and amazement “KILL HIM!”

Inuyasha lightly laughed with what he heard “How are you suppose to kill me when all of you demons are dead?” more aura rushed out of Inuaysha’s body he raised his hand and Reinigen appeared. “Meet your end meddling demons!” He said as he slashed Reinigen and a powerful blast of light engulfed the demons.
Augustine was able to act quickly. He pointed his arm towards a demon. And almost instantly the demon became his doppelganger as he teleported back to the western castle and controls the demon.

When everything settled every demon’s body laid lifeless on the ground. Anarina was amazed but surprised with what she saw *lord Inuyasha is this powerful?!* She mentally said to herself.

“Never can a demon conjure a purifying spell!” Augustine’s doppelganger calmly commented. “Tell me you outraged demon. Where did you get the Sword Reinigen.”


End of flashback…

“There’s on thing though…”

“What do you mean?” Inutaisho’s glanced at Augustine and looked back to the scenery but his full attention was at Augustine.

“Inuyasha has dark aura that surrounding him. I believe that he’s being controlled.” Augustine hypothesized.

Inutaisho turned around and walked back inside the castle. “Lucifer.” Was the one name he muttered.


Back at the Elven Royal Palace…

Luna, Elvira, Philander, Sesshomaru and Jamima are inside the conference room planning the rescue of Inuyasha when suddenly Luna staggered.

“Mother! Are you alright?” Elvira said as she caught Luna.

“Gaea called on to me… the demons are advancing… and Inuyasha… Inuyasha is helping them.” Luna straightened herself up.

“No… it’s because of that Lucifer! Oh how I hate him!” Jamima said angrily.

“Is there any way for us to reach my father?” Sesshomaru asked.

“You can use this crystal.” Jamima offered. “This crystal will bring us to where your father is… but it will bring us back here. That’s why it’s called Timed Teleportatum Crystal” She said and gave the small crystal with a glowing light inside of it. “All you need to do is to whisper to the crystal the name of the person you wish see and throw it to the air.”

Sesshomaru brought the crystal near his mouth and whispered “Inutaisho” and threw the crystal to the air. The crystal emitted bright blinding light. When everything settled everyone inside the conference room were at the great hall of the Western castle.

They were beside a life-size Ivory statue of the great demon lord Inutaisho in full demon form. As above hangs a very ornate chandelier that spreads out almost covering the whole ceiling. The ceiling on the other hand is painted with pictures of great dog demon lords that once ruled a famous mural that was know throughout the demon world. A far distance away from the statue is a great marble staircase that fans out to the floor.

“Wow…” Jamima muttered in her childish amazement.

“Sesshomaru?” Inutaisho approached the group followed by Augustine.

“Father. Augustine” Sesshomaru acknowledge. Inutaisho smiled and Augustine bowed and said “My Lord.”

“Goddess Luna.” Inutaisho acknowledged. Luna offered her hand as Inutaisho kissed it. “Lord Philander, Lady Jamima. And…”

“This is my mother… Her majesty Queen Elvira.” Philander introduced.

“It is my pleasure to meet you my queen.” Inutaisho said and kissed her hand. “What brings you here in my humble home?”

“Father… Inuyasha is with Lucifer.” Sesshomaru told Inutaisho.

“That gives light to the conundrum.” Inutaisho said.

“What do you mean father?” Sesshomaru asked.

“I can answer for the great lord.” Augustine moved forward from behind Inutaisho and narrated what happened to him with his encounter with Inuyasha.

---- “and that I why I’m here now talking to you.” Augustine said.

A general came rushing to Inutaisho but took time to acknowledge the guest and Sesshomaru.

He whispered at Inutaisho’s ear but Sesshomaru, with his keen senses, he was able to hear even though he doesn’t want to. “A male and female demon is making their way towards the West Capital City. All my scouts are dead all because of the male demon that seems to be in a killings spree but I was able to escape, and your highness… he has the book.”

Sesshomaru and Inutaisho remained expressionless but Augustine look at the two of them that gave away that he knew what was happening.

“Something is wrong.” Philander said in his monotone.

*very like my son Sesshomaru.* Inutaisho mentally said to himself. “Yes Lord Philander. It seems that you wouldn’t have to go to Murglor to rescue Inuyasha. He is coming here.”

“Why is he coming here?” Jamima inquired.

“You see, Underneath this great demon city lies a demon gate.” Luna supplied.

“What?! How?” Jamima was surprised to know that “I thought that it was only in the elven lands that-“

Jamima was cut short by Elvira “Daughter… the Sun well protects the elves with its pure magic but once corrupted it can unleash evil magic that could open a demon gate.”

“You mean… the-“

“Yes my daughter. The corrupted sun well can open a demon gate but the demon gate itself can be found here.” Elvira finished for Jamima.

“But how did that happen? They are demons and… oh sorry there’s no puns intended” Jamima smiled guiltily.

The three demons composed of Inutaisho, Sesshomaru, and Augustine just nodded.
“I know what you mean Jamima.” Luna said “the dog demons or Inu Royal clan is a race of powerful demons; they were thought to be a far relative of the Royal Elves because of their high resemblance when dog demons are in their humanoid form.

Once during the great demon war, when the world fought with the great demon god Lucifer the elves fought hand in hand with the dog demons. They were able to close the demon gate using great elven and demon magic but the gods helped them to banish Lucifer.”

Everything dawned to Jamima “that is why he wants Inuyasha…”

*He wants his blood and his great power. Just a little patience, I will bring you back Inuyasha.* Philander and Sesshomaru mentally said in unison.


“You can open the doors by using your demon powers your highness…” Anarina said “you need to redirect your youkai powers to the stones in the eyes of the four demon lords.”

“I see…” Inuyasha said and his red aura pulsed out of his body. The stones glowed with the same color of Inuyasha’s aura as a seal appeared margining and encircling the door. Inuyasha’s aura was slowly sucked into the gems the stones glowed more as more auras were sucked into them. “These stones really are hungry…” Inuyasha side commented.

To say that Anarina was shocked was an understatement to the amount of energy he was releasing *this is so much! If I were sent here alone I would have drained myself down to the core.*

“Anarina… move back.” Inuyasha warned. Anarina looked at Inuyasha with questioning eyes “just move in a fair distance away Anarina…”

Anarina was engulfed by a black shadow and reappeared at to where they first appeared. Inuyasha feeling that Anarina was at a fair distance back he prepared for what was to come. He guarded his face with his arms in an X as an explosion was seen by Anarina.

“Your highness!” Anarina called out. She was about to rush to Inuyasha he ehard his voice in her head.

*just stay there Anarina. This door won’t open that is until that priest Augustine opens it.*

*what will you do then my lord?* Anarina asked but she never received any reply. With that she rushed towards the rubble. She saw Inuyasha with his back at her “Your highness-“She was cut as the wind cleared the smoke in the air. The wind seems to rush out to where Inuyasha is. Two blazing flames appeared on Inuyasha’s hands as his wings spread out to the air. He let the fire flow down to the ground and ran to encircle the dome structure.

*Anarina! I told you to stay where you are!* Inuyasha scolded in telepathy.

*but your highness, I was calling out to you but you didn’t reply so I thought...*

*Anarina, I want you to listen to me this time. I want you to conjure a powerful barrier to protect you. I will have to force the door open… do you understand me?”

*yes my lord.* Anarina said. Then a translucent barrier encased Anarina as she intently watched on the events occurring.

“I call upon the spirit the spirit of nature that yields its power from fire!” Inuyasha started chanting as his voice changed to god like as his clothes changed to black fitting armor. “I prince Inuyasha! The elemental god that controls earth, fire, air, and water opens the key to the realm of the fire spirit! Bring forth the key!”

Thunderclouds appeared and made the surrounding dark. The dark clouds started to swirl forming a tornado that was suddenly engulfed in flame and hit the ground in front of Inuyasha and the fire spread out to the ground. The swirling fire stopped and left in its wake a white statue of a woman. It seems to be a silhouette of a woman that can’t be recognized.

“You are the one that flows under earth’s veins, a force of death and destruction that bring upon new life. I call forth your power oh great one!” Inuyasha continued.

Then, a spread of fire was unleashed by the statue that left a burning elven seal that spread out. As burning wings started to emerge that slowly revealed a phoenix. Its eyes were focused on the statue, as it started to flap its wings and hovered over the statue.

“I call upon… PIRENA!” the phoenix was instantly engulfed in blazing flames and it shot to where the statue was. It hit the ground with a massive explosion as fire as pillars of fire started to touch ground from the dark clouds. A volcanic eruption seemed to have occurred as lava fountains out to the air and a naked woman with blazing fire for her hair slowly emerged. Her head was bowed down; she has her arms embraced to her curvy body. Her eyes were still closed as her brows burn together with her hair. She slowly opened her eyes, revealing red burning orbs. She un- embraced herself and a fire exploded from her body revealing a tube red body fit gown.

She holds out her arm palms up as fire ignited and disappeared to reveal a red glowing gem that flouted on her palm that is double the size of her hand. The surroundings had a tint of red as the gem stone glowed. “This is fire itself.” The woman stated to talk in an unearthly voice. “From this very stone… fire was created.” She set the stone afloat in front of her in the level just above her chest and started to rise in the air as Inuyasha reappeared in front of the gem stone with a swirling fire around him. The swirling fire disappeared leaving him at an arms length away from the gemstone and just behind him is Pirena. Inuyasha’s eyes changed to the same eyes of Pirena as they both stretched their arms towards the stone and shouted the battle cry “ADAMANT FURY!”

From the gem stone erupted an explosive amount of fire directed at the library’s door. The red stones that served as the four master youkai’s eyes glowed and made a barrier to protect the library that seems to hold off the powerful attack. Pirena’s hair blazed as her eyes light up together with Inuyasha, together they released added force to the attack that swirled around the ray that shot to the library destroying the ground beneath it but the barrier is still holding. Then suddenly the phoenix emerged from Pirena’s chest to where her heart should be and spread its wings. It was instantly engulfed in exploding amounts of fire and shot to the door making the ray of fire its pathway it hit the barrier and the door releasing a titanic amount of explosion that made the earth move.

When everything settled Anarina almost dropped her jaw from what she was brought audience to. Inuyasha changed back to his humanoid form and re-appeared by Anarina’s side. He made a barrier that encased the two of them. Pirena descended down to the ground and walked towards the gems stone. She reached for it as the phoenix re-appeared from behind her and and spread its wings and from the ground fire erupted and engulfed Pirena and the phoenix. Fire spread out to the ground and reached Inuyasha and Anarina. The surge of flames increased ten folds as the phoenix covered Pirena with its wings, a last powerful surge of fire erupted from them followed by an explosion that made another earthquake.

When everything settled Inuyahsa was glowing with red aura.

“Your highness what’s happening to you?” Anarina asked with concern.

“I have drained my energy calling out for Pirena… but she’s replenishing it. That is her blessing to me when she cradled me when I was still a child.” Inuyasha supplied in monotone. He then walked towards the ruins of the once Demon Library.

Anarina was too engrossed in watching the Inuyahsa and Pirena that she wasn’t able to see the library that when she saw it her eyes saucered out and her jaw almost dropped to the ground. “The l- l- library… it’s… gone… all the written history and spells of the demon world… gone…”

Inuyasha walked towards a pedestal with a book encased in a barrier. He took the book and walked past Anarina that was still gawking at what she saw.

“Anarina. Let’s go.” Inuyasha called out to her which brought her out of her daze. She turn around and followed Inuyasha still on her mind *all those spells… lost! I would be happy if at least I can salvage one book about powerful demon spells…* she said dejectedly. She was so busy brooding about the library that she didn’t notice that she was walking by Inuyasha’s side and not behind him. She audibly said to herself “why? I thought he wants to read all the books there…”

“It’s because I was just humoring you when I told you that I want to read all of those books.” Inuyasha said as he walked steadily on his path never galancing at Anarina.

“Forgive me my lord… I shouldn’t have said that.” Anarina said as she bowed apologetically.

“You have nothing to be forgiven for. Be it clear to you that if you want to say something to me, do so. It’s one way to gain my trust.” Inuyasha said and stopped in his tracks.

“Yes my lord.” Anarina said.

Inuyahsa ignored it and gave her the book he was carrying. Anarina saw the brown cover of the book margined by intricate gold sequences and at the middle it has the royal elven and the Inu demon seal side by side. “A book that has the elven and Inu demon royal seal…” Anarina said as she took the book.

“That is why we’ve gone to the library… to get the book of the ancestors.” Inuyasha supplied. Sensing that Anarina is about to ask something “that is where the great ancestors of the elves and Inu demons wrote everything about the great war and it is also there that you can find the incantation to open the demon gate. And if it is any consolation to you… the compilation of the entire demon spells including some powerful elven spells that I assure you, you can’t use because you don’t have spiritual powers.” He saw Anarina’s face light up but his face remained expressionless then he turned to walk again but stopped.

“Anarina… keep the book.” Inuyasha said as he sensed demons around him. Anarina hid it inside her kimono as she understood Inuyasha by the tone of his voice.

“Come out.” Inuyasha said in icy monotone “I know demons have keen senses. I know you heard me.” Still no one appeared. “Very well then… I’ll come to you.” With that Inuyasha was a blur as howls and screams were heard.
