AN: Poor Sango!
Chapter Twenty-Six
Sango rolled over in the bed and groaned. Her and Kagome had been home for over five weeks now. Both girls had fallen into a comfortable silence neither wanting to speak about what had happened. Koenma had opened a portal several minutes after Sango had made the demand. He thanked the girls for their help and asked if there was anything he could do to repay them. Sango told him she just wanted to go home. He nodded and had Botan take both girls back to the shrine. Neither Yusuke or Kurama had spoken a word as they left.
The sun was shining into the room signaling another day had begun. Sango sat up suddenly and ran to the bathroom. Kagome rolled over when she heard her run and slam the door. The miko sighed deciding it was time to talk about it. That was the third morning in a row her friend had woken up needing to rush into the bathroom. Reality was about to bite the girl in the ass it seemed. Kagome got up and pulled on a pair of shorts. She'd fallen asleep wearing a long tshirt. She really didn't feel like changing.
A knock sounded at the door and Kagome called out. "Yes Jaken." The imp stuck his head inside the door. She had decided to bring him back with her. There wasn't anything in the Makai for him. The little man seemed to enjoy helping her grandfather around the shrine. He was well fed and treated decent, was probably his dream job.
"Will you be needing anything this morning?"
"No, we are fine. If mom asks tell her me and Sango went shopping for the day okay."
"Of course." He bowed and closed the door. Sango came out the bathroom a few minutes later. She didn't look at Kagome just went and layed back down.
"No, you don't. We are heading into town. We need to talk Sango." Kagome sat beside her.
"About what?"
"You know what, Sango I know it hurts. Its not going to go away. Maybe in eight months but then you'll have something else to deal with."
Sango rolled over to face her. "We don't know for sure yet."
"But we are going to find out and today. Get up we are going to the drug store." Kagome pulled her sandals on. Sango pulled herself up and out of bed. She didn't need anything to confirm her fears. She'd missed her monthly, her breasts were tender and now the sickness had come. The girl had been trying to stall, finding out for certain would bring her world crashing down on her.
She hadn't heard from Yusuke since being back. He knew where to find her yet she heard nothing. It only proved what she already knew. He had married Keiko by now starting his life with her.
Sango let Kagome lead her out the door and down the street. The cool breeze hit her face as they walked. Her stomach started to settle down which she was thankful for. Hurling on the sidewalk wasn't very pleasant. It took a good twenty minutes to get where Kagome was leading her. They entered a large store. Medical supplies lined the shelfs and walls. Kagome led her down an isle. Sango wasn't sure what they were looking for.
Kagome picked up the best one she could find at a decent price. She just wanted confirmation before she started freaking out. Had to make sure before she went on a rampage and killed Yusuke. She took the small box to the register and paid for it while Sango trailed behind her. As they walked Kagome stopped in her tracks. Across the street standing on the corner was the man she wanted to pummel. Sango looked over and spotted him the sametime Kagome did. He was laughing with the big ugly hair don't. Shizuru and Keiko was standing with them.
Kuwabara opened his big mouth when he spotted them. "Hey look who it is."
Keiko looked over and saw them. Her and Shizuru ran over to speak to them. Kagome saw them coming and hid the package behind her back. "Great."
"Hey, Sango, Kagome." Keiko hugged Sango as they reached them. "It's good to see you two again."
Shizuru nodded but didn't say anything. She listened as Kagome and Keiko talked about the last few weeks. Her eyes spotted the way Kagome was holding her hands behind her back. Being herself she arched her neck to see what it was the girl was hiding. She actually dropped her cigarette at the box. "Shit." She bent down to pick it up. 'Which one of them was pregnant?' She and Kuzuma had been filled in on the journey weeks ago. So if one of them was pregnant she doubted they were that far along. She decided to pay a visit to genkai's temple later that day.
Keiko beamed a smile at them. "Before I forget I want to invite you both to the wedding. Its not going to be anything fancy like last time. But I'd like for both of you to be there. Its next friday, call me if you can make it."
"Sure, we will try. We gotta get going." Kagome wanted to get Sango out of there before her hormones kicked in. She dragged the girl back to the shrine.
Please read and review. Sorry its short but gotta run an errand.
