Summary: Part 26 of The Seven: Wanted Dead or Alive which is an AU story set in the 1800s of how the Band of Seven, the notorious outlaws, came together.

Prompt Summary: Renkotsu plots his revenge for his ill treatment.

Hatred burned deep within him,
This man who had been denied.
They had such audacity,
Their disrespect could not slide.
Burned the bridge to him they had,
And now they were sure to pay.
Only a fool would allow,
A second chance to betray.
His revenge was most assured,
After what he had endured.

Flint and tinder would ignite,
A spark that would create fire.
Aged timber would quickly catch,
And soon flames would dance higher.
Before long it'd be ablaze,
This once proud establishment.
By dawn, there wouldn't be a
Remaining inhabitant.
To their deaths they would be lured,
After what he had endured.

They had dared to insult him,
And it could not go unchecked.
He'd see to it that all paid,
None of them he would neglect.
One by one they would all be,
Rounded up and burned alive.
For his vengeance was the last,
Goal he would attempt to strive.
Just rewards would be procured,
After what he had endured.

On that day he too would die,
And would follow them to hell.
At the chime of the death knell.
Victory was reassured,
After what he had endured.

Note: Though the actual prompt isn't used, the idea is that his death would be his disappearing act as he wouldn't be around to pay for his crimes.
