Sango got loose from her coma like state and she rushed towards D and got to him
just before he sunk to his knees in defeat. Blood gushed out from the wounds in
his back and chest, she tried to stop it but he took her hands in his, a very
weak grip but he made her look into his eyes. He shook his head. He had met his
end.

power into the sword, she could see it glowing in the candle lit hall.

something unexpected, snickered Carmilla and flexed her long lethal claws.

Sango made a snorting
sound as her whole appearance began to glow, not just the sword, but all of
Sango glowed.

D was certain that he for
a moment saw naked fear inside Carmilla's blood red eyes. She feared Sango and
her power. "That's it my love. Kill her, make her dead
dead."

Instead of attacking,
Sango waited for Carmilla to make the first attack. And when she did, Sango was
prepared for it. She slashed the bloody flesh on the queen's two arms with one
single stroke with her purifying sword. The gash made on Carmilla's arms seemed
to eat away on her skin and flesh. The undead queen screamed in pain and anger.

did I make you cry? taunted Sango as she repositioned her sword above her head.

You filthy human!! Screamed Carmilla.

Sango and saw a silver haired demon lord in her mind. "“ But I think he still had
more manners than you bitch. He had a heart and he cared. More than I can say
about you.

can hurt me nor can the undead. But how can you do it?

womb. I am both life and I am death, said Sango with a eerie calm voice.

And with that she made a
move, her words had the undead queen bitch stunned. Her glowing sword buried
itself inside her throat and Sango released the purifying powers into Carmilla.
"Is this how Kagome felt when she defeated Naraku?" the taijya thought as
she saw the blood dripping body of Carmilla dissolve into a gooey grey mass and
then just disappear into the thin air.

It is over, she whispered.

Sango swallowed, trying
to get down from the adrenaline kick she just experienced and she rushed back to
her mate. He just smiled.

"How odd things can
turn out." thought D as he
saw his love defeat the evil Carmilla with just a few easy attacks. "Fate is
never a thing to predict. It has many wild cards before the final scene is set."
He smiled as Sango kneeled in front of him. He had not much of his life left,
but he had seen his arch enemy destroyed. He could rest in peace, knowing that
Carmilla never could return to haunt the human kind ever again.

 Sango felt her tears
well up inside her eyes. "Gods husband"¦ don't you dare die on me"¦ Don't you
dare leave me in this foreign world." she thought and used the back of her
hands to wipe away the tears.

Don't leave me D"¦ I can not survive without you in this
world, sobbed Sango.

-         

Yes you can Sango. You are a strong woman and you are
carrying our child. You need to live on, said D and managed to move his right
hand to cup her face. He felt her hot crystal tears stain his skin and he wanted
this end to change.

No, I am not strong. And if I can not have you by my side,
then I will not be able to survive. I need you with me D. And if I can not have
you in this life, I will join you in the next, said Sango with determination.

She moved so that the end
of his sword pointed at her chest as well. She moved her arms around his neck
and she pushed into his form, impaling her self on the sword.

tears running from his eyes. This was just too much for him.

He was silenced by her
gentle lips, their tears mingled together as Sango's powers began to flare
around them. The two were engulfed in a warm pink light.
