It was
about six hours later from when Riquo had awakened after being bitten. Sango and
Kagome were helping Kaede pick herbs while Kouga, Miroku and Shippo hunted for
lunch along with Kilala's help. Apparently the village allowed themselves to go
downhill and a shortage of food and medical supplies came forward. Kaede had a
sample of every herb she needed, and she would give Kagome one to sniff and
send her and Sango off to get as much as they could carry. With Kagome's
increase of speed, they were finished quickly and heading back to the hut to
sort the herbs.
They crept toward the hut entrance slowly, aware of the
sleeping demons inside. Sango was balancing six baskets of herbs on each arm
and one on her head. Kagome was doing the same but managed to get two on her
tail, even though her tail was protesting violently. Kaede, the lazy hag, had
one basket with her. Kaede walked in first, pushing aside the curtain and
holding it open for Kagome and Sango to squeeze in. When the two girls put down
their herb baskets they turned around to the sleeping couple and mouthed a
silent “Aaaawww!”
Inuyasha and Riquo had shifted in their sleep and the result
had Inuyasha with his back against the wall and his arms around Riquo who had
her shoulder to his chest and was curled in a ball against him, her tail
wrapped around his thigh.
Sango leaned over and whispered to Kagome, “Do you think we
should wake them? It’s been about six hours.”
Kagome grinned, “Nah, let’s just help Kaede, their probably

after they walked into the door, Riquo’s tail unwrapped itself and began moving
around. Inuyasha's ears twitched and swiveled towards the sounds in the hut.
Riquo yawned, exposing her fangs and stretched against Inuyasha. Kagome glanced
at the couple and giggled, elbowing Sango and pointing at them. Riquo had a
mischievous grin on her face and her right hand just so happened to be by
Inuyasha's ear. She reached forward and began petting his soft ears. Inuyasha
let out a rather loud purr and his golden eyes immediately snapped open. He
glared down at the figure in his lap while Riquo just giggled and grinned
stupidly at him.
Kagome cleared her throat, “Good afternoon you two.”
Riquo yawned again, “Hey, what’re you guys doing?”
Sango laughed, “Apparently without us the village goes
downhill. They had a serious shortage of food and medicine so we’ve been out
getting both. Kouga and Miroku should be back soon along with Shippo and
Kilala. They’re out hunting.”
Inuyasha snorted, “We don’t even do anything iis dis damn
town, why should us being around have that kind of
affect on them?”
Kagome shrugged, “Don’t know,” she put several jars on
Kaede's shelf, and dusted off her hands, “So what’s next guys?”
Inuyasha snorted again, “Duh, jewel shards.”
Riquo and Kagome laughed, shaking their heads, “I should
have known.”
Riquo stood, stretching out the kinks in her body. Her tail
swayed back and forth in front of Inuyasha's face and his gold eyes obediently
followed. He licked his lips and grinned, it
has been awhile.
He cleared his throat, “Actually Kagome, a lot has happened,
why don’t we take a break for a day or two?”
The girls in the hut stopped what they were doing to gawk at
him. Inuyasha narrowed his eyes, “What!”
Riquo knelt down in front of him and smacked her hand onto
his forehead, “Baby are you feeling all right?”
Inuyasha closed his eyes and took a deep breath.

lose it. He grabbed her wrist and pulled it away from his head, “I’m fine,
but I want to relax a little ok?”
“You got to relax while we were in my time.” Kagome said,
eyeing him with suspicion.
“Yea and looked out that turned out. My mate half dead and
the rest of us nervous as hell,” Inuyasha shot back.
Sango eyed the three of them and shrugged, “Sounds good to
me guys. If Inuyasha's willing to give us a couple of days for once I say we
jump at the chance. Is that ok Kaede since we’ll being staying with you?”
Kaede never stopped what she was doing with the herbs, just
nodded, “Yes, ye need to time to recuperate since the past events.”
Kagome's blue eyes shined with happiness and she clapped her
hands together, “Good! Let’s go to the
before lunch while we still have the chance!” Kagome hopped up and grabbed
Riquo’s hands and the two danced around the room in a circle. Sango just
laughed and Inuyasha ‘hmphed.’
Just then, Kouga and Miroku walked through the door with
Kilala and Shippo trailing behind. Kouga froze and cocked his head to the side
at the site of his mate and Riquo dancing around the room laughing. He looked
at Inuyasha but the hanyou just shook his head.
“Ahem, may I ask what the occasion is ladies?” Miroku asked
stepping further into the hut.
Riquo and Kagome stopped dancing and giggling. Riquo threw
up her hands and cried out, “Inuyasha gave us a day off!”
Kagome linked arms with Sango and Riquo and headed towards
the door, “And we’re going to the

The orange ball of fluff bounced onto Kouga’s shoulder and
Kouga whined in complaint, “Oh come on Kagome! I’m mated to you for crying out
loud, can’t me and Inuyasha at least come?!” Inuyasha had to smirk and applaud Kouga
for the bright idea but it was quickly shot down.
All three girls spun around, all of their hair flying behind
them. Riquo and Kagome looked scary with their cat eyes narrowed, and for a
human Sango looked devilish as well, and all three shouted, “NO!” and stormed
out the door into the sunlight. Sango shouted over her shoulder, “Come on
Kilala!” and the little fire cat trotted out the door after them.

Kouga sighed in defeat and slumped against the wall next to
Inuyasha, “She’s my mate and I can’t even do tl'>that with her,” he put his head in his hands, “I just
Shippo bounced up and down on his shoulder, “It’s not so bad
Kouga! I’m sure Kagome missed you too and will want to be with you later on.”
Kouga chuckled, “I hope you’re right kid. Hey monk! Don’t
you dare take another step towards that door!”
“Damnit,” Miroku muttered.
The three girls sighed hey hey came into the clearing of the
nearest hot spring. It was surrounded by trees and small rays of light entered
through the canopy above their heads. Sango had begun to strip herself of her
clothes and Riquo was about to do the same in her own unique style when Kagome
interrupted her.
“Hey Riquo, do you think you could teach me how to do that
take-off-the-clothes-whirlwind thingy?”
Riquo smirked, “Are you sure? It’s not easy and you haven’t
exactly attempted to use your speed all that much.”
Sango slid into the warm, steamy water, “She did use some of
it today when we were gathering herbs,” she tied her hair battle-style so it
was off her neck and sank into the water, “she’s not as fast as you, but I
think she might get the hang of it soon.”
Riquo turned to Kagome and nodded, “Alright, Kagome. What
you have to do is try and channel all of your speed
into your legs. When you move, the rest of your body just follows. Now, when
you finally get it, your clothes will kind of shimmy off your body. Ok, now
have you channeled your speed to your legs yet?”
Kagome had her eyes closed and her brow furrowed, “I think
so.”
“Good, now all you have to do is release that speed and your
legs will start moving in a whirlwind. Try it.”
Kagome clenched her body and let out her breath in a rush,
and then her legs started the whirlwind. Her body followed, and it was slow but
her clothes eventually started to come off. But Kagome broke her concentration
and in the midst of getting of skirt off, her legs stopped moving and Kagome
lost her balance. She screamed as she fell head first
into the spring.
When she came back up for air, Sango was leaning against the
bank holding her sides and Riquo was on her back on the ground laughing
hysterically. Kilala just meowed on the bank and cocked her head to the side.
Kagome’s clothes were all over the vicinity of the spring. Kagome laughed and
splashed water at both of them. Sango ducked into the water and Riquo rolled
over and sped around the other side of the spring.
Riquo wiped away a black tear, “Well, at least you gave it a
try.” Kagome handed Riquo her drenched skirt and she hung it up on a branch to
dry. “Watch me, I’ll do it a little bit slower so you
can see it.”
Sango and Kagome stood close to the bank to watch Riquo.
Riquo closed her eyes and slowly a whirlwind started at her feet and rose to
the top of her head. Sango shook her head and laughed, “Do you see anything?
All I see is a little twister.”
Kagome stared, “I can sort of make out her movements and the
movements of her wrappings. O well, I guess I’ll just have to practice away
from water on level ground.”
Riquo finished and folded all of her wrappings onto the
ground and slid into the spring, “Geez, what the hell
did Kaede put on me? I feel like my thigh was greased up or something.”
Kagome sank into the hot water up to her neck, “It was some
kind of numbing poultice. It was pointless because it didn’t have any affect on
you.”
Riquo nodded and dunked underneath the water to soak her
hair. She came back up and sat on a ledge in the spring, “So what’s next? Are
we shard hunting or are we just gona wait for the
shards to find us?”
Kagome squeezed the water out of her hair, “I guess we’ll go
shard hunting. We’ve been sidetracked and haven’t really accomplished much in
gaining the shards back. Then again we don’t have much left to do.”
Sango played with Kilala as the little cat paddled around in
the water, “How are you going to get the shards from Kouga? He doesn’t seem to
want to give those up and his speed is a very valuable part of his power.”
Kagome sighed, “Yea, I know. I guess I’ll have to reason
with him just to get them from him. But I don’t want to hurt him.”
Riquo frowned, “What about Miroku? Doesn’t he have a couple
of shards?”
Sango immediately blush and turned away.
“Yea actually he does,” Kagome scowled and
pulled her thrashing tail out of the water, “Damnit,
Riquo does your tail like water?”
Riquo smirked and jerked her thumb towards her tail which
was lying on the bank, basking in the sun. Then she frowned, “Hey Sango what’s
wrong?”
Sango spun around towards them, her eyes filled with worry,
“Do you promise not to tell?”
Riquo laughed, “Who am I going to tell?”
“Miroku,” Sango blurted.
Kagome and Riquo immediately scooted forward, both of their
tails staying in the air. “Spill,” they said in unison. Sango sighed and sank further
into the water, “Lately, I’ve been having,” Sango winced and made several hand
motions, “feelings for Miroku. I don’t know when it started, but they’re really
strong feelings and I can’t ignore them but I know he only sees me as another
woman to grope and possibly bear his children.” Sango exhaled sharply. Riquo
and Kagome gaped at her. Sure it was sort of obvious that Miroku and Sango had
a thing going but neither of the two cheetah demons thought this would be so
soon.
When Kagome grinned, the light reflected off her fangs,
making them glow eerily and scaring the shit out of Sango. “It’s about time you
started noticing the Miroku!”
Riquo smirked as well, “Besides, I wouldn’t worry too much
about Miroku having feelings for you. When was the last time he groped you?”
Sango opened her mouth to speak but stopped herself, trying
to remember, “Actually, I think the last time was when he fell off your full
demon form on that cliff.”
Kagome snapped her fingers, “See! He has too much respect
for you! I think he likes you more than you make realize.”
Riquo grinned devilishly, “Who knows, you may even get laid
tonight!”
Sango gasped and splashed Riquo, laughing. Riquo splashed
her back and before they knew it, an all out water war had begun. They
over the freakin place. Kagome and Riquo had a slight
advantage since they also used their tails to splash, but Sango soon entered
Kilala into the fight, and she had two
tails.
But just as soon as their fun started, Riquo stopped and
sniffed. Kagome sniffed the air as well and frowned too. Riquo nodded to Kagome
and she shouted, “SIT!”
A gih shh shriek erupted through the air accompanied by a
loud thud. Then Inuyasha's chorus of curses and shouts joined in, aimed mainly
at his accomplices, Miroku and Kouga, but he also cursed Kaede and Kagome and
the damn necklace.
After the screaming and cursing back and forth from the guys
and the girls died down, and the girls were dressed, the seven of them sat around
the spring.
“Well if you hadn’t showed up Kagome wouldn’t have used
Inuyasha pouted, “I still think I shouldn’t have had to
suffer! If you three morons hadn’t started screaming then we wouldn’t have
showed up!”
Miroku sat against a tree grinning like an idiot, “I still
think it was worth it.”
Kouga and Inuyasha growled at him, “There ore our
Miroku quickly snorted, “I was so captured by Sango’s beauty
that I didn’t even notice Kagome or Riquo.”
Sango blushed and looked away. Riquo and Kagome grinned and
nodded at each other. “Hey guys what do you say we go back for lunch? Isn’t the
village holding a feast for us in celebration of something?” Riquo said.
Kagome clapped her hands together, “That’s a fabulous idea!
Come on let’s go before all the foods gone!”
mal>Kagome dragged Kouga up and sped off with him while Riquo
did the same with Inuyasha. “Guys wait!” Sango shouted, but to no avail. They
were gone and she was stuck with Miroku and Kilala.
Miroku stood next to her and smiled, “Let’s walk, the forest
is looking rather beautiful today and I want to enjoy it for a little while.”
He placed his hand on Sango’s back and gently pushed her
forward into a walk. Sango waited tensely for his hand to travel further but it
never did. Kilala trotted along behind them as the two walked at a slow even
pace. Sango looked around the forest and mentally agreed with Miroku. It was
especially beautiful today, and it was the perfect setting as well.
On several occasions Sango opened her mouth to tell Miroku
all of the things that she had been feeling and dying to tell him, but no words
ever left her throat. I must tell him! If
I don’t he’ll never know how I feel about him and he may go on and marry some
other girl that’s willing to bear his children!
As they walked, Sango took the chance to examine Miroku.
cute. And the earrings are a plus. I wish he didn’t wear so many robes… Whoa
what am I saying! That is not at all appropriate! Then again this is my
conscious…so I guess that’s allowed. I have seen him without the upper part of
his robes…he does have a rather nice body…gah I wish
I could…okay no no no!!!
Miroku glanced over to see Sango’s brow scrunched up and a
blush on her fair cheeks. She really is a
sight to behold. “Um, is something wrong Sango?”
“Huh? Oh, no, no I’m fine. Thank you Miroku.”
arrived at the village just in time for the banquet. The leader of the village
was holding a massive feast just for the hell of it, similar to the one they
were invited to at Hakuno’s village when they killed
that mole demon. They arrived just in time to see Riquo and Kagome prance out
of one of the village women’s huts in very elegant kimonos. They both
immediately spotted Sango and Miroku and rushed over to them.
“Hey guys! It turns out that the village really did miss us
so they want to have a feast just for the hell of it! Sango there’s a kimono
waiting for you in that hut over there and Miroku the guys are waiting for you
in one of the men’s huts over there. Apparently you have to bless something or
whatever!” Riquo tugged on Sango and dragged her towards the hut with the
kimono.
Riquo’s kimono matched her perfectly, especially since she
didn’t seem like the type to pull off a kimono. It was completely black and it
had big, bright pink flowers covering the whole dress. Her long hair had been
pulled up in a messy bun on the top of her head and she wore flat black sandals.
Sango sneered playfully at her, “No red today Riquo?”
Riquo stuck her tongue out at her, “I like pink too!
Besides, I felt like being a little feminine today!”
“Yea compared to your over-powering masculinity!” Kagome said
sticking her tongue out at Riquo.
“Hey!” Riquo laughed and swatted at her.
“You look nice too Kagome!” Sango exclaimed. Kagome's kimono
was the color of Kouga’s eyes mixed in with her own dark blue swirls. “Who made
these kimonos?” Sango questioned as she fingered Riquo’s kimono.
Kagome shrugged, “I guess they really do like us.”
The two cheetah girls guided Sango into the hut to change
into her kimono. It had purple flowers as the background, and bright green
leaves accented it across the kimono.
“Wow! This is gorgeous!” Sango bowed to the woman who handed
it to her and slid behind the screen to change.
“So…Sango. What happened between
you and Miroku on the way over?” Riquo said smoothly.
Sango popped her head out, disappointment painting her features,
“Nothing. I was so tongue-tied that I barely got a word out!”
“So you definitely going to try and tell
him tonight?” Kagome asked, pulling on her tail
as it moved beneath the kimono.
“I’ll try. Kagome, Riquo, why are you hiding your tails?” Sango
said eyeing the spot where their tails would usually be swaying.
“Well, I would make a hole for it but I didn’t want to ruin
a perfectly good kimono. It’s not everyday I get nice clothes like this.” Riquo
said, smoothing out her kimono.
Sango sighed and stepped out from behind the screen. Riquo
and Kagome gasped and ‘Awwed!’
“You look beautiful Sango!” Kagome cried.
Riquo smirked, “Yea, you’re getting laid tonight.”
The three girls giggled as they exited the hut into the
crisp afternoon air. The sun was just beginning to descend and the fireflies
were floating around, lighting up everything they neared with a magical glow.
Riquo smiled and tilted her face back, taking in her surroundings. She opened
her green eyes towards the sky and frowned.
“Kagome…it looks like tomorrow is going to be a new moon.”
Kagome sighed, “Yea, I’m kind of nervous since it’ll be my
first time, but Inuyasha said it doesn’t hurt.”
“At least you and him can go
through it together. So neither of you will have to be alone
or uncomfortable about it.” Sango said.
“True, but I still think it’ll be weird being human again
after being a hanyou for only a few days.” Kagome
said and then smiled, linking her arms with the other two girls.

They walked towards the center of the village where all of
the action would be taking place. Women walked back and forth carrying trays of
food. The scent of different kinds of exotic, colorful fruit and vegetables
wafted to the girls noses, making their mouths water. Another tray carrying a
roasted wild boar went past the girls and it was all Riquo could do to keep
from pouncing on the poor women carrying it and running off with it. Men went
past as well carrying several barrels of sake. They were taking all of these
trays into the village leader’s enormous house, where several decorative lights
littered the outside of his house.
Then Kagome spotted the guys walking out of the men’s hut
towards the leader’s house. They weren’t dressed any different but each of them
had a cup of sake in each hand. Sango whistled, which surprised the girls next
to her, and the guys spotted them immediately and smiled in appreciation.
“Ladies I must say that all three of you look absolutely
lovely tonight,” Miroku said, offering a cup of sake to Sango.
Sango snickered, “That’s quite a compliment coming from a
man that purposely seeks out the finest women in whatever land we are in,
in agreement. Kouga and Inuyasha handed each of them a cup of sake as well.
Inuyasha put is arm around Riquo’s waist and pulled her to
his chestou lou look beautiful, Riquo.” Riquo smiled and hugged his waist, “And
you look perfect as always.” Inuyasha rolled his eyes but Riquo just giggled
and kissed his lips softly.
Kouga hugged Kagome to him as well but Kagome went straight
for his lips and gave him a light, sweet kiss, “So do you like my outfit?” she
asked, her blue eyes glittering. Kouga smiled and purred into her soft, beige
ear, “I didn’t think you could look more beautiful but you have once again
proved me wrong.”
The three couples were laughing and enjoying themselves when
Shippo came running up with Simaya and the other village children. Simaya
trotted up and tugged on Riquo’s kimono, her head bent down, “Um…Miss Riquo, is
it ok if we play with the cheetahs, the pretty black wolf and Kilala again?”
Riquo smiled and knelt down in front of the blond girl, “I’m
sorry sweetie, but the cheetahs and the black wolf had to go home.” Simaya bent
her head back down and nodded before turning away. Inuyasha sighed and shook
his head, “Hey kid, do you want to play with them that bad?” Simaya spun around
and stared into Inuyasha's eyes before nodding her head.
Inuyasha motioned to Riquo and Kouga, “How long would it
take for Ebony and the other cheetahs to get here?”
Kouga did the math in his head, “Um, about half an hour I
think. I can call Ebony here, I know she wouldn’t mind.”
Riquo looked doubtful though, “Inuyasha I don’t think I
could call upon the cheetahs in my pack, unless there was an emergency.
Inuyasha nodded, “Then call upon about four, which should be
enough to keep them happy.”
Riquo smiled at him, adoration twinkling in her emerald
eyes, “That’s very thoughtful of you Inuyasha.”
Inuyasha snorted, “Keh!
why the hell not!”
Kouga snickered and pulled Riquo forward by her arm, “Leave
it to Inuyasha to rise above his ignorance and then crash and burn in an
instant.” Riquo giggled and Inuyasha shouted, “I heard that!”
Before Riquo was too far away from Inuyasha, she slid her
tail above his groin. He immediately froze and swallowed hard, cursing himself
for getting turned on by her slightest touch. She turned her head towards him
and winked before walking off to the center of the street with Kouga. Inuyasha smirked,
so she wants thme tme thing…I could use that
to my advantage.
Simaya had followed Kouga and Riquo into the center of the
street. The villagers had stopped what they were doing to watch what was about
to take place. Simaya tugged on Kouga’s tail, “What are you going to do?”
Kouga smiled and picked up the little blonde, placing her on
his hip, “I’m going to call Ebony for you, and Riquo is going to call some of
her cat friends. Do you want to see?” Simaya’s bright brown eyes widened and
she smiled, giggling. Kouga smiled too and placed one of his claws to her lips,
silencing her. He looked up and nodded to Riquo. Both threw back their heads
and let out their own calling. Riquo revealed her fangs as she roared, closing
her eyes and concentrating on the message being sent. Kouga’s howl attracted
several of the village dogs, but they cowered in fear and ignored the call once
they saw who the owner was. After two minutes of howling and roaring they
dropped their heads sighing. Kouga hitched Simaya higher up on his hip and
walked back over to his mate, Riquo trailing behind with a feral grin on her
feline features. (AH: damn…too many f’s!)
Most of the villagers just shrugged and went back to there
business for preparing the fe oth others ‘awwwed’
because Kouga and Simaya looked so cute, and the smarter ones wondered who Riquo
and Kouga were calling forth. When Kouga reached Kagome, he put Simaya down and
she immediately ran off with Shippo and Kilala in her full form. Kagome hugged her
lover, “That was so sweet of you Kouga. You really made that little girls day.”
Riquo just smirked at Inuyasha and placed a small kiss on
his lips before grabbing his hand with hers and walking towards the mansion. Once
inside, they were directed to their seats since they were “honorary guests of
the master,” as one servant said. The inside of the house was decorated
throughout every inch of it. The ceiling was lavish with orange and pink
flowers and even the servants adorned those colors as well. Pink paper balls
with candles inside were placed everywhere and the room was lit as if it was
day time even though the sun was setting. It was a lot cooler in here than any
of them thought it would be, and looking up revealed several sun roofs and all
of the windows and doors were open. The tables were arranged in a wide circle,
and in the center were musicians and a big dancing floor, where several people
were already dancing.
Riquo’s tail immediately began swaying to the beat and she
kept her eyes fixated on every person dancing, complimenting or criticizing the
way they danced. Sango eyed Riquo with a smirk and snickered, “Look’s like you’re
ready to get up and show these people how to dance Riquo.”
Riquo snapped out of her stupor and grinned, “No, I think I’ve
had enough dancing for a little while.”
Kagome quirked an eyebrow, “You want to stop dancing for a little while?” she reached over and
placed a hand on Riquo’s forehead, “are you feeling ok?”
Riquo giggled and playfully snapped her jaws at Kagome's retreating
hand. Kouga, though, knew something else was up, and that it regarded Inuyasha.
He kept his cerulean eyes on Inuyasha, knowing that something was there. Inuyasha
was sitting next to Riquo, his legs folded ‘indian
style’ and his arms hidden in the sleeves of his shirt. His golden eyes were
bouncing back and forth between Riquo, Kagome and Sango and the conversation
the three were having. Then Inuyasha's ears perked towards Kouga’s direction
and Inuyasha locked eyes with him frowning. “What?” he mouthed. Kouga smirked,
deciding to tease Inuyasha a little bit. He reached over and slapped him on the
back, “Come on Inuyasha! Look how Riquo sits there quietly looking at the other
dancers with longing in her green eyes and her tail drooping sadly. A beautiful
girl like her shouldn’t have that kind of look on her features! Why don’t you
get up and take her for a dance?!”
Inuyasha gaped at him. That
stupid bastard! What the hell does he think he’s doing! Kouga smirked and
looked at Riquo, who had pretty much the same look on her face along with embarrassment.
Then she grinned evilly at him.
“Say Kouga, you should have seen the way Kagome danced when
we were in her time. Hey! Why don’t you two join us! Hell,” Riquo stood up,
dragging a silently protesting Inuyasha with her, “let’s all get
over there and dance!”
Kagome and Sango were right along with her, all of them
adorning evil grins and dragging their partner towards the dance floor, “What a
good idea Riquo! It’s been such a long time since I danced with
Kagome said dragging Kouga with her.
Kouga was stuttering like a drunken sailor, “B-but I…I d-
around in a whirl of color and faced him. Then she smiled sweetly and played
with his breast plate, “Oh, it won’t be so bad my love. After all, didn’t you
say one time that you would do anything for me?” Kouga gulped and sighed,
submitting to being dragged onto the dance floor next to Inuyasha.
“This is your fault you know!” Inuyasha hissed.
Kouga sighed in defeat, “Yea I know.”
Then a thought dawned on both of the demond thd they both
looked over at a silent Miroku was being dragged, or rather, lead, onto the
dance floor next to Inuyasha.
Inuyasha cleared his throat, “Say monk, why is it you haven’t
said a word in complaint? Don’t tell me you actually know how to dance.”
Miroku just smiled at both of the men and winked before
catching up with Sango and walking next to her. Inuyasha looked back at Kouga,
his face looking as if he was ready to cry.
“So, do you even know how to dance?” Kouga said.
Inuyasha coughed nervously and scratched the back of his
head with his free hand. He looked everywhere except at Kouga and then a
thought hit the wolf demon.
“You know how to
dance! Don’t you, you moron!” Kouga hissed.
Inuyasha held a claw up to his own lips, “I want to surprise
her.” then he smirked, “need some quick lessons?”
Kouga growled and before he could respond there were already
on the dance floor. The three couples scattered and Riquo and Inuyasha just so
happened to wind up in the middle of the dance floor. Riquo spun around to Inuyasha
with a big smile on her face.
“Ok Inuyasha,” Riquo placed her hand in the position to
dance, “align your hand with that one and put that one on my hip—“
Before Riquo could even blink, Inuyasha had grabbed her and
whirled her around and bent himself down, holding her parallel to the floor. Riquo’s
blinked in confusion, her green eyes looking everywhere until they noticed
where Inuyasha's hands were. His left hand had her right hand up in the air
close his shoulder, and his right hand was where Riquo had told him to put it,
except a little bit lower so he was sort of resting his above her butt.
o blo blinked seductively and turned her cat eyes onto him, “So,
is there something you forgot to tell me?”
Inuyasha grinned and nodded. Riquo smiled as well and then
analyzed there position, if she just raised her hips a little bit higher…
Inuyasha brought her back up fast and it was then that Riquo
noticed that a new song was about to start and a fane ane at that. Inuyasha pulled
her close to his chest and purred in her ear, “Now, now, let’s not get too
impatient, love.”
Riquo laughed in embarrassment since Inuyasha had figured
out was she was trying to do. Inuyasha pulled his golden eyes away from her to
glance at the musicians before giving the golden goodness of his eyes back to
her. He smiled before whispering in her e“Let“Let me dance with you.”
Riquo would have melted into a beige,
spotted puddle on the floor if it wasn’t for Inuyasha's grip on her ass. The music
started and Riquo immediately recognized the beat and prepared herself with a
smile. Inuyasha smiled at her as well and then began to move with her. Inuyasha
led her across the floor with such grace and accuracy that Riquo could have
sworn that he had lessons. She matched him for every step he took, was ready
for him with ever spin he did to her and any other move he had. The way their
bare feet padded against the floor, the way Inuyasha held Riquo in his arms, it
was all perfect. The candles set a lovely golden hue that complimented Riquo’s
emerald eyes as well as the kimono she wore. Inuyasha would have given anything
to just stareo heo her eyes for the rest of his life, but he knew that Riquo was
extremely happy that she could dance with him and he wanted to keep it that
way.
Inuyasha sighed to himself. So here they were, a couple
madly in love with each other, finally somewhere where they can be in peace and
happy. This is what I want for us…and our
pups. I want to be happy with my family. He glanced to his left and smirked
at Kouga and Kagome. Looks like the wolf
could dance after all. Kouga and Kagome were moving at the same pace as
they were, and from the looks of it, Kagome was happy with the results as well.
Riquo turned her head as well and narrowed her cat eyes to see Kagome. The two
cheetah demons locked eyes and giggled, mouthing to meet somewhere later.
Riquo looked back up into Inuyasha's eyes and smiled happily
at him. He grinned, “Are you happy, Riquo?” Riquo nodded and giggled as Inuyasha
spun her around again. When they were together again, Inuyasha rested his hand
above her tail and rubbed slowly. Riquo lowered her lashes and let out a low
but feminine purr.
Riquo giggled again and looked to her left to see Sango and Miroku
dancing rather close. Miroku had a big grin on his face and Sango couldn’t stop
laughing and enjoying herself. Riquo smiled for her friend,
“They deserve each other,” Inuyasha whispered into her ear,
as if reading her mind. Riquo nodded and drew herself close to him as the song
came to a smooth halt. Everyone on the dance floor clapped for the musicians as
the leader of the band tipped his hat to them.
Riquo hugged Inuyasha close, “Thank you for doing this for
me. It means a lot to me…because of my dancing nature.”
Inuyasha stroked her brown hair, raking his claws through
the length of it, “I know, that’s why I did it.”
Riquo pulled away from him just to look into his eyes, black
tears following the path others left before them and she smiled, “So where did
you learn to dance like that?—“
“LADIES AND GENTLEMEN! TAKE YOUR
SEATS, FOR THE FEAST IS ABOUT TO BEGIN!” the leader of the village shouted. Riquo
was about to insist Inuyasha answer her question when he pulled away from her,
but still held her right hand up in the air and bowed, as it was customary to
do so after one danced. Riquo did the same thing and when she righted herself Inuyasha
offered his arm to escort her to their table. Riquo looked around to see Miroku
and Kouga doing the same thing for Sango and Kagome. Riquo sniffed and smiled,
taking Inuyasha's arm as he led her to their table.
She rested her head on his shoulder, “I love you.”
“I love you too. Tonight will be our night.”

a doozy! I don’t think I’ve written anything that
long before! Well, I will from now on. I’ve decided that I need to lengthen
events in my story and add more detail. Well, I hope you enjoyed it! –
