Just a Little Rivalry

Chapter 25: And the Rivalry Continues


“Inu Yasha, have you noticed that your brother doesn’t really have anybody?” Her question rang out obscenely loud as he was trying to coerce her into the shower with him. He knew he didn’t have to try too hard either.

He sighed before trying to get to her concerns. “Yeah, I’ve noticed. I have also noticed how he is extra protective and even nice to you. He really cares about you, and it does worry me, but his concern has also helped us.”

He began to strip off her dirty jean and tank top as well as his grass stained clothes. Kicking everything to the side, he stripped off their remaining clothes and guided her into the shower stall that he was turning on.

Kagome continued to look up at him puzzled. “What do you mean by extra protective? And, Sesshomaru is nice. To me, he seems to be a caring demon-at least about his family.”

“Sesshomaru is nice-TO YOU. He does care about you. Before I met you and brought you to meet my family, he was pensive, cold, uncommunicative and all around ass. This is something that you can even ask Koga. They may have been friends, but Sesshomaru is never close to anybody until he met you. I think that if you didn’t want me that he would definitely take the opportunity to take you as his mate. But, thanks to you, we now have something of a relationship that is built on the need to keep you safe. That makes me feel as though you will always be protected even if something were to happen to me. Sesshomaru has too much self respect to get involved in out mating bond unless if you were upset by something.”

She just absorbed what he said and was trying to stay focused on that as he began to wash and tease her body.

Inu Yasha wanted to distract her and concentrated on a particularly ticklish spot on her side.

He grinned as she squirmed around and gave up her line of thought in favor of retaliation. She tickled him back before grabbing the body wash and a bath poof and started spreading the apple-scented soapsuds all over his body.

He grinned now that she finally got off topic and began to torment her body until she was moaning under him. He finished rinsing them off and pulled her out before wrapping both of them in fluffy towels that were soft and lightly scented against their skins.

He pulled her to their bedroom and opted for the seat against the far wall. He sat down and brought his lovely, little mate into his lap and began kissing her chest.

He worshipped the berry sweet nipples that were hardening from his breath and attentions.

Kagome made little begging sounds in the back of her throat, wishing he would take care of the aching need that he was creating in her. She squirmed against him and loved the groan that he gave her.

She continued to rub herself against his hard, long, throbbing length, causing him to push up against her and growl.

She grinned at him and kept teasing him with her hands and mouth.

She nipped and licked at his neck, tasting her mark there. The hot, heavy, humid sensations that she brought forth in him had him moaning and begging for more, which she ecstatically and frantically gave him.

Inu Yasha couldn’t take her torment any more and grabbed her hips to lift her up off of him.

She whined at the loss of his skin low in her throat and tried to squirm her way back down to him.

He grinned before shoving her back down and pushing himself as deep into as he could.

Their groans of satisfaction echoed off the walls.

Kagome wrapped her legs around him to hold him in place as her hips undulated under his. His growl was a prelude to his actions. He grabbed her hips and lined her up as he roughly pounded into her, losing his tenuous grip on reality.

Her moans escalated to excited whines and cries and up to screaming as she became nothing more but a joyously aching mass of nerve endings that he was happily puppeteering.
He snarled his pleasure as he felt his hard length being sucked into her once, then twice. On her third flight into air, he soared with her, filling her up with his seed.

The two collapsed on the bed together without even bothering separating their bodies, choosing instead to savor the feeling of being so close to each other.

Inu Yasha watched as Kagome’s eyes closed, and her body snuggled closer to his. He held onto his mate and murmured his love for her into her drying, sweetly scented hair. As he laid there, his thoughts turned to his brother and all of his worries on that. He needed to figure something out soon.

Maybe Koga should get hold of Yura and set up a date. Of course, his brother could have his hide about interfering in his love life or lack there of, but he wanted to try to distract Sesshomaru from his feelings for his mate.

And, the best distraction is another objective.

He resolved to talk to the wolf in the morning.


~*~*~ The Next Morning ~*~*~


Kagome woke up, still connected to her mate. She was sore, and her body was still humming with its saturating satisfaction that her mate had provided.


She grinned when his nose started to work, picking up her scent, and even pressed further into her hair. Her wicked and mischievous nature took over as her hands rose.

Inu Yasha was slowly drifting in from the tides of his sleep when he felt his sides being attacked. He began to squirm, trying to evade the tickling.

He kept trying his best to get away from it and stay in the paradise between awake and asleep.

It was no use.

The girlish giggles had him snapping his eyes open. He gazed down into the mirthful eyes of his mate and returned his own devious grin as he began to restrain her and tickle her sides.

Kagome did her best to squirm out of his obviously unbreakable grasp as he attacked her sides with tickling fingers then her breasts with his very hot and wet mouth.

The double sensations of the tickling and the arousing presence of his mouth sent her body into a confused whirlwind of sensations.

She moaned as her body heated up under his ministrations. Within moments, he was back inside her body, and both were howling with the pleasure they were giving and receiving.

When they finally got up and cleaned off and dressed, they went into the kitchen to find both Koga and Sesshomaru fixing themselves each a big bowl of cereal and heading into the game room, challenging each other over Halo to see whose character would be worse than the others. Inu Yasha grinned and joined in, fixing himself some cereal and leaving Kagome with her returning thoughts about Sesshomaru.

She finally decided that maybe she should just not worry about it as long as it does not become a problem. She grinned to herself as she called up Ginta and Hakkaku, asking them if they wanted to go out with herself, Inu Yasha, Koga and Sesshomaru for a big lunch before hitting the Rec. Center near the mall for some wall climbing or whatever struck their fancy.

Before she knew it, her living room was filled with guys since neither Sango nor Miroku had put in an appearance yet. It was already 11:30.

She shrugged and thought it was about time that their relationship had progressed to that point. She grinned before dashing into the bedroom to put on some clothes for the day.

“Hmmm… Let’s see. I need something that I can move and run around in. This cute tee looks great. These pants are comfortable and stretchy and just perfect for the Rec. Center and going out and are adorable with my tee.”

She grinned as she took off her clothes and slid on her v-neck, maroon ‘Run for the Hills’ tee along with her stretchy gray yoga pants. Yup, it was just perfect.

After she put her hair up into a ponytail with just the right amount of strands framing her face and neck, she dashed into the living room to watch the guys for a little while playing the game.

She laughed as they fought over who made a better bad guy.

Grinning before joining into the fight, she cheered Koga’s wizard on who had decimated every male in one town, just leaving the women and a few choice children. It looked as though he was even trying to recruit a few guys to do his bidding and he had lots of money and property that was stolen.

She laughed when Inu Yasha mock pouted, insisting that she was supposed to vote for him.

Sesshomaru had other plans though. He worked his way around her until he was behind her. He grabbed her arms and wrapped his legs around her to keep her legs from flailing around and catching anybody. Inu Yasha took the hint quickly and began to tickle her.

The tickling match turned to a wrestling match as soon as Kagome wiggled free. Koga joined in and tried to help Kagome until she accidentally pulled his hair amid trying to dislodge Sesshomaru’s busy tickling claws that seemed to find every spot on her body that was tickling-and that was all over.

Kagome began to holler for help around her peals of laughter when she realized that it was now three against one.

Ginta and Hakkaku walked in and had to take a moment to decide whose side they should be on.

Ginta began to wrestle around with Inu Yasha, distracting him from Kagome’s knee, calf and foot. Hakkaku saw what Inu Yasha had abandoned and couldn’t help himself. He just loved the way she was squirming and yelling and laughing.

He went for that foot.

It jumped with renew vigor when he attacked it.

Kagome finally surpassed her limit of endurance and began to plead for mercy.

“Mercy! Please… Please… MERCY!!!!!”

Sesshomaru smirked and stopped, effectively stopping the rest of the wrestling and tickling match.

Kagome was red-faced, disheveled and breathing hard. All of the sudden…

Hic.

Hic.

Everybody started to laugh as her body jerked with her hiccups.

Inu Yasha hopped up and went to the kitchen and the fridge to pull out a Coke.

“Here. The carbonation will help more than plain water with getting rid of those.”

Everybody busted out laughing as she downed most of can, hoping to drown the painful jumping in her chest.

She looked around and saw that everybody was there and that it was now nearing 1.

“Well, I don’t know about you guys, but I am really hungry now and am ready to go,” Kagome said as she jumped and began to pull Sesshomaru who was still behind her then Inu Yasha who had been next to her.

She grinned when Koga jumped straight up.

She jumped when the doorbell rang.

Who could that be?

Koga grinned and ran to answer it. He knew who it was.

“Hey Kagura. You caught us about to go get some lunch then to the Rec. Center.”

She smiled up at him. Kanna began to ease herself inside around the adults. “Well, I knew you were here and wanted to find out if you wanted to go do something today.”

Kagome jumped straight in at that point. “Why don’t you two come with us? I am sure that Kanna will enjoy it.”

She grinned as Kanna tried her best to sneak past her and look around. She reached over to the candy stash hidden away in the drawer and pulled out a sucker and handed it to the girl. Kanna lit up and unwrapped it, sticking it into her mouth before anybody could object.

Around the candy, she asked, “Where’s the trash can?”

Kagome pointed into the kitchen behind her, letting the girl walk in and throw her trash away.

After a minute or two of shifting around, they decided that a Chinese buffet sounded good and who was riding in which vehicle.

Koga, Kagura and Kanna rode in Kagura’s vehicle while Ginta and Hakkaku took Ginta’s car with Sesshomaru, Kagome and Inu Yasha settling in the back.

They arrived at the restaurant and were seated by a red headed waitress. Kagome looked her up and down, trying to place where she had seen her before.

It struck her quickly that it was the same red headed girl-well, wolf demon- that Miroku had been talking to the first time that they had met him and Inu Yasha on campus.

Sesshomaru looked her up and down, as did Ginta.

Ginta grinned at her asked for her phone number and a date.

“Come on. We could have a lot of fun.”

“Well, I don’t know. I have a lot of writing to do on my thesis,” replied the waitress, whose nametag read Ayame.

Sesshomaru wouldn’t be thrown off that quickly though.

“You have got to take a break at some point. Why not catch a meal with me between work and then the library?”

She just giggled and shook her head. “Thanks you two. I will just have to consider it.” She turned and walked away, hearing the funny argument behind her between the wolf demon and the dog demon. They both were just sooo cute.


“I asked first,” Ginta shot out at his friend.

“Too bad. I am going to get her,” Sesshomaru shot out in the same manner.

The arguing kept up until Kagome had her head on the table, laughing hard.

“I swear, guys. There always has to be something for you guys to argue about. It’s gotta be worse than any sibling rivalry I have ever seen.”

The group broke out into laughter and finished their meal.

Sesshomaru and Ginta were both sure to get Ayame’s number before leaving. She was surprisingly cooperative. Her mischievous nature shining through the entire time by stating that she did have to eat more than once.


Well everybody, that is the end to my first baby. Thanks so much for sticking with it and me even when it seemed that I was never going to reveal everything. I may start another story really soon, but I will be leaving in just over a month for a small trip and probably won’t update a lot until I get back. Then again, I may. Who knows?

I would like to thank everybody for telling me what you all thought should happen. It has given me some great ideas to go into future stories and fed my ego that people would really care what happened.

I decided that even though it did seem that I was building up for Sesshomaru to join in that that was not what I really wanted to do with this ending. I really wanted to keep the fun rivalry going.

I hope you enjoy my future stories as much as this one. This was my first fanfiction (my baby if you will) and it has taken a long time in growing up.

Mad Miko: You’re another reviewer that I loved hearing from. I promise that I will write a story dedicated to you that will be an Inu/Kag/Sess story. I haven’t fully decided how I wanted it to be. I think I would like to write one that is in the modern times, but I haven’t ironed out the details.
