Longing
Again, thanks for your reviews, and for the wonderful website. I'm sorry this is one of my shorter chapters, and it may get confusing at the end, the next chapter will explain. In addition, it will be much longer.

Chapter 25
Longing
The early morning rays woke the small group. Sesshomaru however, stayed awake watching earnestly at the prisoner. He still didn't find out where Naraku was, but he was patient. He knew Hiten was untrustworthy and probably would turn on them if he had the chance. Although it seemed he would turn on his boss also.
Sesshomaru looked over at his brother, making sure that they were ready to move out. He could see Kagome still fast asleep in Inuyasha’s arms. He then glanced over at the fox. “Shippo?” he called, as he watched the fox approach him.
“Yeah,” Shippo said, rubbing the sleep from his eyes. Needless to say, he didn’t sleep very well. His back ached and he couldn’t wait to be in a soft bed. Grumpy, he wasn’t in the mood to argue with the elder demon.
“You will carry Hiten.” It was a plain order, Sesshomaru really wasn’t asking for much. He looked past the cluster of trees, as he watched the sun creep its way over the canopy. It was going to be humid, with the rain from the previous night, caused mist to form on the forest floor. He growled. That was all he needed, a thick fog making his journey almost impossible. However, he couldn’t wait until mid-day to begin his trek.
Sesshomaru was anxious to go home, and call his mate. Then he would have that long needed discussion with his brother—only if he could remove Kagome out of his arms. Not to mention a vacation from the annoying fox demon. Even though he knew that he would have to fly home in that contraption he called a plane. If need be he could always take his frustrations out on Hiten—of course only to pry more information out of him. Unfortunately, his thoughts were interrupted, by that very fox he so needed a break from.
“What do you mean, I have to carry him? He’s your prisoner!” Shippo whined.
Sesshomaru was about to rebuke, when Inuyasha came out of the clearing. He looked at Hiten, and gave a fearful grin. “I’ll carry him.” Was all he said?
Revenge set well with Inuyasha, he would give Hiten the ride of his life—and hopefully a full blown heart attack. He would definitely make sure that Hiten would never forget who he was…or mess with him again.
Shippo smiled, “yeah, let Inuyasha carry that slime bag. I would however, be happy carrying Kagome for you.”
“The hell you will.” Inuyasha retorted, tightening his arms around Kagome.
Sesshomaru shook his head, “Will the both of you just shut up!” he roared. Looking at his younger brother, then at Shippo his eyes held no room for argument. “Inuyasha, you will carry Kagome…Shippo you carry Hiten.”
“But…?” Shippo protested he really didn’t want to take the risk of literately being backstabbed.
Hiten watched, the scene unfold, grabbing his cigarette, he lit it. He couldn’t help but chuckle, as the morning scene took place. “I can walk really…”
All three of the demons turned to Hiten: “Shut up!” They yelled in unison. Hiten just shrugged his shoulders, and took another drag.

Miroku stared out his window, with the crumpled note in his hand. He couldn’t believe that she left him…left him with a thank you note. Of course he was grateful that it wasn’t a “dear John” however, it sure did feel like it.
Angered, he thought of ways to win the girl of his dreams back. Back into his arms, and into his life.
Never in his life, had he connected with someone on such an emotional level. He was sure that Sango felt it as well, but doubted himself when he awoke only to find her gone. He’d wish Inuyasha was around, ‘he’d know what to do.’
Just thinking of his friend, sent him into a deeper depression. He knew that Sesshomaru was looking for him, and no news was always good news…right. Miroku sighed, he could only hope this time he was correct with his assumption.

Sango sat on her sofa, crying. She never would have thought that leaving his side would be so hard. OF course never in her life did she have a one night stand. But that didn’t stop the tears from spilling down her face.
When she returned home, she crashed on her couch. She wanted to take a shower, but she didn’t want to wash away his scent just yet. She could smell him all over her, and it gave her some comfort. He was on her clothes, on her skin.
Sango’s body was overly sensitized, and thinking of him wasn’t helping her dire straight. She couldn’t stop thinking of him and the way his hands burned her skin with his very touch. She closed her eyes, running her hands down her neck, following the valley of her breasts. Hiking her dress up, she began to explore the overly sensitized area, she began masturbating…, but all she could think of was him.

The group finally made it down the steep ravine. Sesshomaru knew that they were close to civilization. He looked at the young fox, with a smirk. He did in a way feel bad that he’d be the one to carry that snake on his back. But, it was to insure the safety of his pack.
Looking back, he could see his brother and Kagome, walking leisurely behind him, having their private conversations. He did hope for the best, and was sure by the following morning he would be calling her sister.

Naraku stirred hearing his phone ringing in the background. He yawned as he answered the phone. “Hola, this better be good for disturbing my slumber.” He waited until he heard Bankotsu on the receiving end.
Naraku smiled, enjoying what he was hearing on the other end. “Rin you say. Where is she? Aw, I see. Very good, send some men and retrieve her. I want her unharmed; she may come in handy trading her with Kagome. You‘ll be well rewarded Bankotsu. Adiós”
Hanging up the phone, Naraku grinned. Stretching he wrapped a robe around him and headed for the bathroom. After his shower, he got dressed, walked downstairs. “Men, ¡vamos!”
Naraku watched his men scurry around the house looking for the shoes. He rolled his eyes; he did need to find better help. Of course, the good help he did have—he killed on his ship. “Hurry up! I don’t have all day!” Naraku shouted. He wanted to get into town quickly. He had a date with a Mrs. Taro. Naraku couldn’t believe that Sesshomaru’s wife was in South America, his day just kept getting better by the minute.
