It Is Good To Be Kagome

A/N: Ok, guys. I hope that you enjoyed my Alucard shot, and I am still getting familiar with FB characters. To let you know, I am going to be bringing the full version of Close encounters for you to enjoy. I also have 3 other new fics, Jewel, Underneath hunter's moon, and bond of brothers. It figures. It absolutley figures. She, Kagome Higurashi, had the worst luck known to man. Or youkai.

“Take a little vacation.” Her mother said. “It would be fun.” Her mother said. Well, her mother didn't know shit. This was about as fun as sitting through one of her teacher's lectures on plant reproduction.

But, she had to face facts. Here she was, away from the well and Inu Yasha's protection, and she was sitting in a cell, and was freezing her ass off. Why? Well, it was because she was stupid enough to use her miko abilities and wound up having a man landing before her, with two very large guns pointed right at her nose.

The woman who approached them was tall, blonde, and for a moment, Kagome thought her to be male. But, then the woman simply looked at the man with the guns and said, “Bring her for interrogation, Alucard.”

Sadly for her, Kagome could remember an older man injecting her with something and the next, she awoke in the cell she was currently occupying. She could just bet that Inu Yasha was having the time of his life. He was probably humping his new interest, Ayame, while Kouga and Sango got down and dirty behind her back. Yeah, she knew about them, mostly because she had returned from her era early and found them all in a clearing, fucking their brains out in one hot, sticky orgy.

Her attention was quickly drawn to the door, when it opened and the woman came in with the man who held his guns on her, and another man who had his dark hair pulled back into a low ponytail.

The man with the ponytail quickly held out a chair for the woman, while the man called Alucard opened her cell and reached for her. He roughly escorted her to a chair that was opposite from the woman and pushed her down into it.

At first, the woman simply glared at her, and then finally said, “I am Integra Wingates Hellsing. Now, I want your name and where you come from.”

Kagome blinked. The woman's harsh demeanor shocked her. What, exactly, had she done to deserve this?

“My name is Kagome Higurashi, and I live in Tokyo, Japan. Please, Ms. Hellsing, why are you doing this to me?” Kagome asked, her lower lip trembling. Ok, she would admit it, she was scared as hell, even more so than when that creature attacked her.

“Sir Integra, Miss Kagome. You may refer to her as Sir Integra.” The man with the low ponytail said, his voice calm.

Walter knew many things, and he could tell that the girl before them was just an innocent bystander, caught up in this hellish war. She was also very frightned and he hoped that Sir Integra would not scare her to a point where she would panic.

Integra looked up at Walter, and could see that he pitied the girl. The girl did not appear to be a threat, but looks were deceiving, but she had to wonder if the girl was that good of an actress that she could fool Walter. Probably not.

Integra leaned back and motioned for her servant to back away from Kagome. She took note that Kagome relaxed slightly when Alucard moved away and decided on just how she was going to conduct this interview.

“Kagome, why did you come to our country?” Integra asked, her tone quiet. She watched as Kagome squirmed in her seat before blurting out, “It's because of my stupid friends. They betrayed me and my mom thought that I could use a vacation to get away from all of the problems.”

Alucard lifted an eyebrow and lifted his hand to remove his sunglasses. The girl amused him greatly. He had to wonder if his master would let him play with her once she was finished with her.

“I see.” Integra said. “Do you know what that thing was that attacked you, Kagome?”

“A youkai.” Kagome said, her tone knowing. After all, if it wasn't youkai, she could not have purified it.

“Youkai?” Integra said, her brow wrinkled in concentration. She had heard the word before, but could not seem to place it.

“Youkai is Japanese for demon, master.” Alucard said, his tone rich and velvety. He watched as his master nodded and then glanced down at the girl. She was beautiful. Her long, dark hair was loose and she was clearly cold. He shrugged out of his long overcoat and gently placed the heavy material around the girl's shoulders, earning himself a shocked glance from not only the girl, but his master and Walter as well.

Integra cleared her throat. Never before had she seen Alucard show anyone kindness....well, anyone who was not in their small circle. Clearing her thoat, she gained Kagome's attention and then said, “In a manner, yes. They were demons. But, we mainly call them ghouls. Creatures turned by vampires into their mindless slaves.”

Kagome felt her jaw drop open. Ghouls? Vamipres? Really? She squinted her eyes and wondered if the woman was being serious and from the look upon her face, yes, she was deadly serious.

Integra watched as Kagome processed the information and then asked, “What did you do to the ghoul who attacked you, Kagome?”

Kagome blushed and mumbled, “I purified him.”

Integra, Walter, and Alucard glanced at each other before Integra asked, “Come again?”

Straightening up, Kagome pulled Alucard's coat tighter around her and said, “I purified him. I used holy power to send him back into nothing. I am what we call, in Japan, a miko, but you would call me a priestess.”

“I see.” Integra said, and leaned back in her chair. It would seem that this girl was just in the wrong place at the wrong time, but there was the public confrontation that she had to deal with and Kagome would not be safe on public streets. At least, not until her contacts dealt with the incident.

Standing up, Integra motioned for Alucard to help Kagome up and said, “Kagome, until this matter has been cleared up, you will stay here, with us. During this time, I would like to know exactly what it is that a miko does.”

Kagome sighed and nodded. “May I call my mom?” She asked, her tone wobbling. Yep, rotten luck was her name, and stepping into trouble was her game.

Integra nodded and directed Alucard to take Kagome up to the room that would be hers for the remainder of her stay. In there, Kagome would find a phone, and then she was gone.

The older woman intimidated her. However, when the tall man dressed in red began to laugh, she turned and looked at him with curious eyes.

“My master is always intimidating. She has been like this since I met her when she was a child. You will get used to it. Now, let's go.” He said, and proceeded to the door and opened it.

Soon, Kagome stood in a large bedroom, and noticed that her belongings were tucked into a corner of the room. A nightgown had been placed upon the bed and a tray of food placed on a table.

Alucard turned and watched as Kagome's eyes wandered over the room. A smile touched his lips and he shook his head. The girl would definitely provide him with entertainment while she was there. Turning, he said over his shoulder, “The phone is beside your bed, and when you do speak with your mother, I would advise you not to tell her what happened. Vampires are not well known, at least outside of books and movies. Have a good night, Kagome.”

What in the hell was he doing? He should not be entertaining any thoughts of having any kind of fun with this mortal girl, but here he was, and he wanted to see just how much she could take of him.

His master would not be pleased. Not at all. But, then again, Integra always did have a stick up her ass, and it was a wonder that she had any suitors at all, not that she gave them a glance, but they were still there.

As he walked down the hall, he noticed that Walter was waiting for him. “Ah, Alucard, there you are. Sir Integra wishes to have a word with you. She is in her study.” He announced.

Alucard watched as Walter turned and began to lead him towards the master. It amazed him that a man who was once called, 'The angel of death' could settle into a life on service to the Hellsing family, but that was exactly what Walter did, and he excelled in it.

When they arrived, Alucard could tell that something was wrong. Very wrong. His master was worried and when she looked up, she said, “It appears that we are needed Alucard. And, the others of our elite circle want us to take Kagome along with us. She has impressed them with her ability to purify creatures that are unnatural.”

Alucard growled. “No. Let me go and I will deal with our enemies. Master, she is just a girl. This is not her fight and she was only introduced to it because a ghoul attacked her. Please, don't let them bring her into this any further than what she already is.” He asked, his voice pleading. Damn it, he didn't care if it sounded like he was begging. He didn't want Kagome in danger.

Integra's hands were tied. She had to do as they said, or else, the Hellsing Organization would be exposed. Gaining her composure, she squared her shoulders and said, “Walter, go up and get Kagome ready. Explain to her what is going on and give her anything she will need.”

When Walter left, Integra quietly said, “I am fully aware that you are attracted to her. But, I wil not risk having this organization exposed just because you are experiencing a crush upon the girl. Now, get ready, Alucard.”

He knew it was pointless to argue, but made his feelings clear by slamming the door behind him as he stormed out of the study. He made his way outside and saw the Hellsing soldiers already gathered.

He turned when he heard a door open and was greeted by the sight of Kagome in a red and white outfit, carrying a bow and arrow. Several of the soldiers laughed and she blushed and quickly came to stand next to him.

“It's a miko's uniform. Kaede gave it to me, when I last saw her, and since I am supposed to show some important people what I can do, I wanted to pay respect to the miko line by dressing as one.” She explained.

He was about to tell her that she was not welcomed on this mission, but when Integra appeared, he held his tongue and came to the decision that he would keep a careful eye on her.

Soon, they were on the way to the contact point and when they arrived, he noticed that Kagome began to glance around. She reached behind her and grabbed an arrow, causing the soldiers to snicker and point at her. Alucard nearly growled at the men, but when she lifted her bow and took aim at a shadow that was moving, he realized that she had sensed the presence of a ghoul, even before he did.

Before the mens' and Integra's eyes, the tip of the arrow began to glow a bright violet and when she let the arrow loose, the arrow burst into a blaze of purple light. It hit the ghoul square in the chest, and its howls echoed throughout the area. When the light faded, all that was left of the ghoul was the clothing it had been wearing.

No one spoke. Integra nodded in satisfaction. Yes, Kagome would make an excellent addition to the organization. She glanced up at Alucard, and noticed that his face was set in a grim expression. Suddenly, it made perfect sense to her. Alucard felt something for the little priestess, and while she could not determine what he felt, she knew that whatever it was, it was growing stronger by the minute.

Kagome watched as the soldiers moved forward and nodded when the elderly general motioned for her to follow. The inside of the house was dark and had a horribly foul stench to it, and it was all she could do to not gag.

Suddenly, an exposion of activity happened and Kagome's eyes widened in surprise. The soldiers were firing in every direction, and then she felt it. The tingle of her holy powers as something unnatural came closer to her. Quickly notching an arrow, Kagome turned to her left and was shocked to see a large creature grinning down at her.

It's teeth were yellow and its eyes were red, much like many of the youkai that she and her group had fought. She dropped the bow and arrow, then put her hands up with her palms facing outward.

The creature didn't waste any time and jumped on her before she could summon her holy powers. When she felt its sharp fangs piercing her neck, Kagome screamed and prayed that help would come.

Alucard and Integra were waiting outside for a report on what was found. The male vampire was growing restless and kept glaring at his master. Before he could tell her that he was going into the house after Kagome, they heard a loud, horrified scream that left Alucard's blood cold. That was Kagome's scream.

He ignored Integra's orders for him to stop. Racing into the house, he quickly defeated several of the ghouls who were lying in wait for him. Once he dispatched them, he ran to where Kagome's scent was the strongest, and found her, lying in another vampire's arms.

Her eyes were wide and full of pain. A thin line of blood was trailing down her mouth and he knew that if he didn't act fast, she would die and leave him all alone. He would never tell his master, but he desperately wanted someone to share the nights with him. Someone like Kagome.

He pulled his guns and smiled at the vampire. “You know, normally I would just kill you and put you out of your misery, but you have touched the female who belongs to me, and for that, I will simply play with you until I grow tired.” He announced.

He pulled the triggers of his guns and watched as the bullets ripped into the vampire's shoulders. The vampire quickly threw Kagome to the ground and howled, before moving away and cowering in a corner.

“It's not my fault. They said that I was to get the Hellsing Organization to come and capture me. I didn't know that the female was yours. Honest.” The vampire whimpered.

Integra's laughter echoed through the room, causing both males to look at her. She watched as Alucard moved over to Kagome and cradled her near lifeless body against his. Her servant had made his choice and she had heard his claim. If this was what he wanted, then so be it.

She glanced at the other vampire, and motioned for her guards to enter the room. “You have been gravely misinformed. The Hellsing Organization does not capture vampires, unless we need information. We kill them. General, destroy this piece of trash.” She ordered. Turning her back, she smiled as the sounds of bullets filled the air. However, her smile faded when she realized that Alucard and Kagome were no longer in the room. Sighing, she left the room, and quickly exited the house. Her enemies were testing her, it seemed. Well, she would have to make sure that they were not disappointed, especially when they finally met, face-to-face.

Alucard finally came to a stop in the crypt he often came to when he wanted to just get away from everything and gently set Kagome down. She was so close to death, but it had to be her choice. She had to want to live, and to change. She would no longer be human, and would have to change her entire lifestyle.

Kagome's eyes were still open, but she felt blessedly numb. She turned her eyes to Alucard and gave him a weak smile. “Inu Yasha always did say that my reaction time sucked. I guess that he was right.” She murmured.

Alucard moved down, so that his lips were next to her ear and quietly asked, “Do you wish to live, Kagome?”

Kagome's eyes widened for a moment, and realized that Alucard was no longer wearing his sunglasses. His eyes were gentle and so was the hand that was stroking her bangs back from her face.

“I want to live, but not alone. I'm so tired of everyone else being loved and all I get is used. If that is what my fate is to be, then no.” She replied, her eyelids growing too heavy to keep open.

“Live for me. Live with me, and I will never allow another to abuse you. I will protect you and cherish you with all of our immortal lives. Say yes, Kagome. Say yes, and be mine forever.” Alucard whispered, his eyes trained on her closed ones. He gritted his teeth, but then watched as her lips moved.

“Yes.” She whispered, and allowed the dark arms of death to enfold her into their embrace. Suddenly, there was a sharp pain at her neck and then something wet was pressed against her lips.

“Drink, now.” He ordered, not caring if he sounded harsh. He needed her to drink so that she could turn. At first, he thought that he might be too late, but when her tongue met the wound he had inflicted on himself, he breathed a sigh of relief.

They stayed there in that crypt for several hours, and he watched as the sun rose, and then set, signaling that a full day had passed since he brought Kagome to this place to revive her.

When he saw her move slightly, he was beside her, and moved so that she could be propped up against him.

Kagome's eyes slowly opened and suddenly, she was aware of several things. Her eyesight was much clearer, and her hearing was much sharper. Her sense of smell was even better and she could not help but wonder what had happened to her. All she could remember was seeing that vicious vampire in the abandoned house, and then nothing.

She realized that she was not alone when a pair of arms encircled her. Jumping slightly, she realized that it was Alucard who was with her, and he seemed amused.

“Yes.” He said, chuckling. “You are different now, and I am going to have a lot of fun, teaching you our ways.”

“What ways?” Kagome asked, almost afraid to hear the answer. When Alucard moved so that he could look into her eyes, she was nearly floored with the gentle expression in his red orbs.

“Last night, I nearly lost you. I asked if you wished to live and you said yes. I brought you back, and now, we will never be alone, because we have each other. I fully intend on seeing my vow through.” He whispered, as he moved closer to her neck.

At first, she was going to ask him to hold on for a moment while she collected her wits, but when his tongue came into contact with the side of her neck, she groaned and unwillingly tilted her head to the side so that he could have better access.

Alucard's growl of approval filtered through the crypt and he murmured, “Yes, you like that very much, don't you? Well, let's see if you like this.”

Moving her swiftly to her back, Alucard moved above her and opened her top, revealing a pretty, but blood-stained white lace bra. His eyes narrowed and he quickly removed the bra, and looked upon her breasts for the first of many times. While her breasts were not too large, they were not too small, either. They would fit into his hand and fill his mouth, satisfying him completely.

Kagome blushed at his intense gaze on her breasts, and when he didn't say or do anything, she wondered if he was disgusted at the size of them. She knew that she was not large, but a part of her hoped that he liked what he saw.

When a growl ripped from his lips and his mouth captured on of her breasts in his mouth, Kagome threw back her head and allowed her fingers to tangle in his dark hair, anchoring him to her chest.

As he suckled, he moved to lie between her thighs and roughly pushed her legs further apart so that he could have room His ears picked up her breathy moans, and he smirked. He liked the fact that his female was so eager to enjoy his advances.

Within moments, his fingers found and removed all of her other garments. True, he had to rip her bottoms off, but who cared? As long as they mated, he would be happy.

Kagome's eyes grew wide as she heard the tearing of material. Great. There went another one of Kaede's miko uniforms that was given to her. How in the hell was she going to explain it to the elderly miko?

Alucard removed his mouth from her breast and moved to undress quickly. His cock was throbbing and it needed her warmth now. But, he was not sure that she was ready for his invasion. His nose told him that Kagome had never entertained a man in her bed before, so because his mate was coming to him as a virgin, he needed to take special care of her, before joining with her.

When he returned to her, Kagome allowed her legs to part even farther, and was eager to know what it felt like to rut, just as she had seen her friends do. It had to be really something special, because the sounds that Sango made sounded as if she were having the time of her life.

Alcard moved down her body and allowed a long, slender finger to slide down her slit, and murmured that she was wet, but not wet enough. At least, not yet. A scream ripped out of Kagome's throat as Alucard began to dine on her nether region. His nails bit into her hips as he held her still, but chuckled when she kept trying to make him go faster. Well, his little mate would have to deal with this pace. He was enjoying his meal, very much.

Kagome could feel something building up in her stomach. When it finally snapped, she screamed her lover's name, and winced when it hurt her ears. But, her lover was not done torturing her, and she was quickly catapulted into yet another orgasm, this time, tears streamed down her face and she sobbed her relief.

Alucard knew that it was time. His little mate was so wet and ready for him. When he moved to kneel between her thighs, she sighed and allowed her arms to wrap around his neck, pulling him down for their first kiss.

Alucard's tongue quickly cleaned up her blood, as it flowed from the wounds on her lip. As he bathed her injured area, Kagome realized that the pain had lessed and her pleasure was quickly returning.

Alucard felt her body relax, and quickly set an eager pace. Soon, their grunts and moans filled the crypt and soon, she reached the pinacle of her pleasure. Once again, Alucard was not about to let her get away without giving her more.

So, throughout the night, they mated. Each giving the other more pleasure than they had ever dreamed of, and it was only before dawn when Alucard roard his final release and Kagome followed him.

As the pair lay in each other's arms, Alucard smiled and looked down at his beautiful mate, wondering what he was going to tell his master. Well, he would cross that bridge when he came to it.

Kagome could tell that her mate was in deep thought, and a very naughty thought came to her. Slithering down his body, and catching his red eyes with hers, she smirked and simply said, “My turn.”

As she took him into her mouth, Alucard's growls bounced off the walls, and he knew that he had made the right choice in women, for himself.

Kagome lifted herself over the lip of the well and easily hoisted the heavy backpack onto her back. She glanced down, and watched as her mate jumped and easily cleared the well, before setting down beside of it.

It was the best vacation she ever had, even though technically, she had died. Alucard had been a wonderful teacher, and when she asked why it was that they could walk in daylight, he simply replied, “I am very...special. And now, so are you. However, unlike me, there are still things that could kill you, but you need not worry. Nothing will ever get close enough to harm you. This I swear to you.”

Kagome smiled and pushed her sunglasses up her nose. Even though the sunlight would not kill her, her eyes were very sensitive. Now she knew why Alucard wore his all the time, but once told him that unlike him, hers came off at night.

She moved forward and placed her hand in his, and led him towards the village. As they got closer, she could hear the angry voices of her friends and she grinned at Alucard.

“It would seem that there is trouble in paradise.” She said, her tone dry. She explained in greater detail to Alucard what she had seen and he was anxious to watch as she put her 'friends' in their places, but she simply told him that she was above that. She said that none of them would ever know the happiness that they had.

Kagome's prediction came to pass when they entered the village to find Ayame and Inu Yasha glaring at each other, while Kouga and Sango were in defense stances. But, when Kagome called out to them, they all turned and she realized that there were others watching the four-some fight.

Sesshomaru, Miroku, Jaken, Rin, Shippo, and Kaede were all there, and Kaede hobbled over to her and embraced her before noticing the young man beside her. She knew that something about Kagome had changed, but she could not put her finger on what it was.

As the day turned to night, Kagome recounted her vacation in England, and showed some pictures of her trip. It seemed that all was well, and Alucard had been the perfect gentleman, until Kouga decided to open his big mouth.

When it was time to go to sleep, he stood up and announced that he needed to speak with Kagome. He glared at Sango, who was staring at him with wide and hurt eyes.

“It is time that I finalized my claim upon you, Kagome.” Kouga said, his tail wagging back and forth.

Kagome felt her mate tense, and quickly put her hand upon his arm. “Kouga, I am not mating with you, and know that you and Sango have already been together. Perhaps you need to be finalizing things with her.” She suggested, hoping to relieve some of the tension that was growing in the hut.

Kouga blushed, as did Sango. But, then Ayame stood up and glared down at Kagome. “You know, you are the reason why Inu Yasha won't mate me. What in the hell is so fucking special about you, anyways.” She snapped.

Alucard was not going to keep silent while this wolf bitch spoke to his mate in such ways. Standing up to his full height, he smirked at Ayame and said, “It is because she is a lady, where you are not. Kagome has class, and will be your superior in every single way that counts. Learn to deal with it gracefully.”

Kagome bit back a smile, but was quickly filled with rage when Ayame began to approach her mate. Jumping up, Kagome got between Alucard and Ayame, then yanked her sunglasses off and revealed her red eyes and a set of fangs that were sharp and ready to tear flesh.

The growl that came from Kagome caused Ayame to step back quickly and shiver. “Don't ever go near my mate again, Ayame.” She warned, her tone hard. “Go back to Inu Yasha with the knowledge that I don't want him. I am already mated.”

The hut was quiet for a moment, and then exploded as questions flew. Finally, Alucard offered the easiest explanation and explained that he would be accompaning his mate to the feudal era from this point on.

Miroku, Kaede, Shippo, and Rin all offered their congratulations, while Sesshomaru simply nodded his head.

Kouga, Sango, Inu Yasha, and Ayame simply did not speak. Each were too deep within their own thoughts and at least three of them felt badly for sneaking around behind Kagome's back. It was all supposed to be about sex, but for Sango and Ayame, they grew to have feelings for the males, and now knew, that those feelings were not returned.

As a pair of dark eyes and a pair of green eyes turned to watch the tall and unusual man cuddle the little former human close, they could not help but wish that they had someone like that to care for them.

As Kagome sighed happily, she snuggled down into Alucard's embrace and closed her eyes. For her, dying had never been so sweet.
