Chapter Twenty-One

Kouga left Kagome standing there to have a talk with the dog-shit. He found him sitting across Sesshomaru debating on what to do. "I say we just send the damn girls home. If they are back in their own time then we won't have to worry about baby-sitting."

Sesshomaru had other ideas, "They stay. As long as he is preoccupied with the girl then other villages will be spared. Seems there have been no more attacks since the girl was first taken. It just points that his main concern now is her. We can use her to draw him out."

"I won't let you use her as bait." Kouga crossed his arms over his chest. He didn't like where the conversation was leading. ''I'll be damned if I let them use her. She wasn't going home nor was this Kuroyama getting his hands on my woman.' He didn't bother to correct his thoughts.

"Whats it to you wimpy wolf. This is none of your concern so butt out." Inuyasha stood ready to do battle. "As soon as we leave here in the morning you can just forget we were ever here. That especially goes for my Kagome. She's mine understand so get over yourself already."

Kouga smirked, "Whatever mutt, say what you want but when you leave here tomorrow I will be going with you."

"I don't think so, you aren't tagging along. You just want to hang around because of my mate and I won't allow it."

"Get over yourself. That bastard had the nerves to attack my home and for that I will be there to make sure he dies. I'd like to see you try to stop me."

"Fine but remember you asked for it," he drew tetsusaiga planning on cutting the wolf in half.

"Sit boy!," Kagome came in. "You are more than welcome to join us in the morning Kouga. We can use all the help we can get."

"Thank you, I knew you'd understand Kagome." He took his leave as the hanyou picked himself up off the ground.


Michiko had fallen asleep on her back. For hours they had layed there talking about things of no importance. They discussed if they would make it back to their own time. What they both thought of Inuyasha and of their mom staying here. Kimi could understand if she wanted to stay after all she was with her prince. She knew that she wouldn't be staying, there was nothing here for her, but a reminder of what she'd lost.

The stars were starting to come out as dusk set in. Her sisters soft breathing could be heard over the chirping crickets. Kimi wanted some time alone and stood up. Socks rose to accompany her. "No, you stay here with her. Down," the wolf sat back down and whined but obeyed. She left her there and walked across the valley heading towards the woods. Being worried never crossed her mind, she knew the real reason Kuroyama wanted her and it wasn't to remove the jewel she had in her side. Okay it was so he could force himself on her more than likely but being raped was only a small step up from being killed. If he came towards her with it she'd just have to purify it off. She couldn't imagine being with another man after being in Kouga's arms. Her heart soared as she remembered last night. For her it was something she would never forget, and it would seem he had already forgotten it. She sat against a tree and stared at the stars as they began to come out.

Sesshomaru went for a walk to get away from the stench of wolves. He came upon a trail and decided to take it without further thought. As he walked his mind travelled to his stupid half-breed brother. Sometimes he wondered if he was truly half at all. He was up there threatening the wolf leader Kouga with a horrible death. If his brother would look past the tip of his own nose and to his surroundings he would have noticed the smell that still lingered in that cave. There was no doubt that the cave belonged to Kouga, but among the furs you could smell the girl and the loss of her innocence. The wolf had more than one reason to want to travel with them come morning. The wolf was about a bigger idiot than his brother still trying to court his brothers woman. Stupid wolf didn't even notice his own demonic reaction to the girl. He smelt nothing when the wolf spoke of or even got around the woman named Kagome. When he spoke of the girl earlier, stating that he wouldn't let her be used, Sesshomaru had smelt the strong sense of jealousy. His demonic aura had flared reacting to her even without her being there. For some reason the fool still thought he wanted the older version. He wondered how long it would take him to realise that his demon had chosen the young girl as its mate. 'Probably as long as you.' The voice echoed through his mind. He growled he was not about to have a conversation with himself. He did not want that girl, she merely stroked his curiousity. Now, who was lying to themself? He would not fall to the same weakness as his father. 'If I took that girl as my mate, I'd become weak.' 'Why would that make you weak, even if you chose her as your mate, you'd still be the same Sesshomaru. And Sesshomaru is not weak. Love is not what makes you weak. You love and care for Rin and you haven't been weakened. You have become stronger over the years, so what is to stop you from taking the girl as your own. Nothing but your own foolish pride. Being a full demon you can't do anything about her being human but you can do something about her life span.' He mentally shook his mind and entered the valley and spotted the woman haunting him sleeping.

He walked up to her and the wolf sprang up growling. Turning an eye to the hound he gave it a hard glare and it trotted back up the mountain leaving him alone with the girl. He bent down to pick her up, carrying her bridal style. She barely stirred as he cradled her in his arms, she brought her arm up and wrapped it around his neck. He felt himself harden when her fingers brushed the back of neck. His intention had been to take her back to her mother and Inuyasha and look for the other girl. When she touched him he finally made up his mind and took off towards the west.

He found a secluded spot about an hour away and landed. Scanning the area he made sure they wouldn't be disturbed and placed her down. She barely stirred when she was resting on the soft grass. He took off Tenseiga and placed it beside her followed by his clothes. He made a make shift bed not wanting to take her on the grass. He moved her over placing her on top seeing to her comfort. Sesshomaru realised that she was awake and fully aware of what was happening. Before she could ask any question he captured her mouth again. He heard her moan and began undressing her. He pulled her top over her head leaving on some kind of contrapment that was covering her breast. He ran his hands over them squeezing lightly. His thumb felt something hard infront between her two mounds and deciding it was the latch worked on it. After only four tries he got the material to come apart baring her ample breast before him. She was perfect and she was his. He bent down and captured one of her pink nipples in his mouth and began to suck on it. He ran his thumb over the other causing it to harden under his touch. Michiko wanted to say, "Gross!" but didn't get the chance. She opened her mouth to speak and he shoved his wounded wrist in her mouth it was either swallow or choke.

"Why did you do that, disgusting." She could still taste the bitter taste of his blood in her mouth. "Now I need some scope."

He quirked an eyebrow at her statement. "You now belong to this Sesshomaru. You will take your status as my mate." He stood up and began to get dressed.

"What, oh my god, what is my mother going to say? She's going to kill me. We don't have to tell her do we."

"Heh, my brother will know as soon he gets close enough to smell you. Every demon will know that you are taken by this Sesshomaru." He gave her time to get dressed before taking off to return to the others.


Kimi started dosing off when she heard someone crashing through the woods calling her name. She realised that it was now dark and she'd been gone for awhile. She stood up and stretched her aching muscles. 'Guess I should head back they are looking for me.' She only made it a few feet when Kouga landed in front of her and he didn't look too happy.
