CHAPTER 15, PART I - THE MORNING AFTER
~*~ First of all, I'm so happy right now I can do cartwheels! If only I knew how. *sigh* The reason why I'm so happy is that I got a new review! *dances a jig*
To sutlesarcasm: Whee, you're back! *glomps on you* I've been working on this for a while now, I'm glad you found it again. And sadly no, I'm currently updating just here in AFF. I'm only using my Nintendo 3ds to update, and the way I'm typing can be exhausting, believe me. ^_^ But still, I'm lucky enough to at least be able to review, so no complaints here. Chapter 15, Part II - The Morning After
The maid hurriedly scrambled out of the room, not bothering to clean up the mess she left behind. My, but what gossip she had in store for everyone!
The household wasn't used to seeing the duke and duchess sleeping together in the same room. At least, that was the case between the former duke and duchess. But the new couple... well, it's a good thing she's already married.
"Inuyasha!"
Kagome protested beneath her husband, laughing as she remembered the priceless look on the maid's face. She knew she should probably be angry, but her sense of humor was tickled.
'Finally, she said my name,'
Inuyasha smiled dotingly at his wife, loving the sound of his name coming from her lips.
"What's with the servants this morning? They never used to bother me this early,"
Kagome's eyes widened and she laughed harder as she realized that she was probably the cause of the early disturbance from the staff.
"What's so funny, wife?"
Kagome wiped the tears from her eyes in a bid to control herself before answering her husband.
"Forgive me, my lord, but I'm afraid I am the cause. It seems Emily has already informed the staff of my being an early riser. I'll talk to them first thing today,"
Inuyasha nodded arrogantly at his wife. He suddenly got distracted by his wife rising from the bed, with the sheet already wrapped around her slender form. She walked over to the windows where she stretched her body to her heart's content. Inuyasha went to stand behind her, wrapping Kagome in his embrace. She leaned back into him, and they enjoyed the sunrise, content to stay in each other's arms. Just when the embrace turned sensual, and Inuyasha was bending his head to kiss his wife, they were interrupted once again.
"Your Grace["
Inuyasha's patience snapped.
"Out! Anyone who enters this room will personally die by my hand,"
The door immediately closed, and Inuyasha carried his laughing wife back to the bed.

They left the room much, much later. No one dared to disturb them again in the mornings, the duke's threat doing its' job. The staff learned that they were to just leave the breakfast tray outside and knock discreetly on the door of whichever room the duke and duchess were staying (which was most of the time the duchess's). And to never attempt to call their attention, unless it was the end of the world, of course.
