Epilogue
The sun shone brightly down on the lush field as five children tumbled amongst the flowers under the watchful eyes of Shippo, Rin and Kohaku. One was a little boy with hair the color of pure snow and eyes of gold. He stood tall and strong, dressed in hakama and haori of white, his tail wrapped over his shoulder and the mark of the west upon his brow. His smile was easy and laughter full as he tumbled on the ground with the younger pups.
A little female snuck up from behind him, her brown-black hair and cat-ears blending with the shadows as her amber eyes glinted with mischief. She was garbed in a red kimono made of the fur of the fire rat and was prone to bite the pale haired male at every chance. She was loud and short-tempered, a trait said to have come from her father. Shippo rolled his eyes as he heard the two start to fight again.
"Amaya! Stop biting Inari!" Shippo scolded.
The dark haired girl looked up to the older kitsune, eeped, and scampered off into the brush as Inari glared after her with a look that his father gave her father. Shippo shook his head as he sighed. Who would have thought that InuYasha's and Sesshomaru's rivalry would transfer over to their children?
The three other children laughed and then continued their game of tag. With a dark smirk on his face, one of the other boys snuck up behind Amaya and pounced on her, his crimson eyes glinting with glee as Amaya started to chase him in anger. He was fine, inheriting his father's speed. His black hair was pulled up onto his head into a ponytail as his furred headband covered his brow. He tossed back insults to the black haired girl as he ducked from her, his furred kilt and tail of brown making him appear a brown blur with his darker brown haori.
Yet another rivalry of InuYasha's that transferred through to his child and the child of Kouga. "Come on, dog-breath!" the boy called. "You couldn't catch me on a good day!"
"Shut up, Tsume! You're just a cowardly, mangy wolf!" Amaya growled.
Inari sighed and walked over to the last two children, taking seat beside them as Amaya and Tsume fought. Games always seemed to turn into this. "Baka," he grumbled.
The girl giggled and shook her head, her azure hair tumbling around her shoulders as her violet eyes sparkled with mirth. A pair of matching blue fox-ears poked from the tresses as she sat there in her dark violet kimono with her brother of the same mother. He looked much like his father, save for the silver eyes that he inherited from his mother. They seemed the most patient of the children, waiting for the inevitable intrusion of either Shippo or Kohaku to break up the fight.
"So, have you heard from the academy yet, Miya?" Inari asked.
Miya smiled to her pale haired friend, she was the second oldest of the group, younger than the prince only by half a year. Both had been named after a parent of their mother's. Inari named for the lord of the East, and her for the sorceress of the East that had saved Kagome-sama from being killed during a palace cu.
"Hai, Inari-kun. They were surprised that I inherited my okkasan's powers, being only hanyou, but they're happy that they have another student coming in from okkasan's line. It's funny. They thought that Mitsuhide would be the candidate," she giggled.
Mitsuhide rolled his eyes. "Like I'd want to go to that silly academy anyways," he muttered.
Shippo had descended from the field to break up the potentially disastrous battle between Amaya and Tsume. Inari and Miya looked to one another as Mitsuhide shook his head in disappointment. "Baka," they all muttered simultaneously.
The wind picked up, tossing the scent of sakura and spring into the air along with a multitude of petals. The sound of children's laughter danced throughout the field as a blossom floated over a small shrine and into a small house. The blossom flew through the darkened room and landed on the edge of a worn, wooden, dry well, the wood giving off a slight blue glow in a dampened light of the well house.

Levii: *sniffle* that's it... the end.
Inu: Damn... now we have to wait until you start another story.
Sess: This Sesshomaru wasn't even in this chapter.
Levii: You weren't supposed to. It was about your children. I figured that it was a good ending. 'Course, I'm still a bit iffy about it. But then I'm always iffy about my chapters. Anyways, I hope you guys enjoyed my story. I really enjoyed reading all your feedback! Until my next story-
Inu: And who the hell knows when that will be.
Levii: *glare* That's it! *Starts chasing InuYasha around the stage*
Sess: AS she was saying before she went off to attack InuYasha. Until her next story, Ja Ne.
