Chapter 21:

Author's Note: First off, I would like to apologize for slacking off guys. Ahh! I have so much stuff going on in my life. I am teaching an HTML class on a forum, taking classes (involves tests and studying), building a website, writing Phantom of the Opera phanfictions, and other stuff.

Also let me address the pairings:

Inutaisha/Kagoru (our main pairing)
Inuyasha/Kagome (another main pairing)
Sango/Miroku (slight pairing)
Sanga/Mirra (again slight pairing)

So I hope that clears things up...

Inuyasha felt Kagome grab his arm and looked at him. "Inuyasha, I am really worried about Kagoru."

"I know. Kimi is lying. I can smell Naraku's scent on her. It's faint, but I think she made a deal with them to get rid of Inutaisha."

"Then we need to find her. However, how will we do that?" Kagome asked.

"I think we can find her. Inutaisha isn't going to quit or give up. She's going to make it. Naraku or Naraka will not stop her." Inuyasha replied.

Kagome paused then gently kissed Inuyasha's cheek. "Inuyasha, Inutaisha told me not to let you slip by. So i'm not. I love you."

Inuyasha stared at her with a surprised look on his face. He sighed then said with a soft smile, "I knew this would happen."

"Inuyasha?"

He grasped her waist and pulled her against his body then kissed her lips passionately. "I love you too Kagome."

"So do you intend to make me your mate?"

"I promise after this mess is over we will. However, it's too much to think of that now."

Kagome nodded. "I'm so worried about him."

"Don't worry, he will be fine."

Kagoru looked at the Tetsuseiga while thinking about Inutaisha. He knew she was alive and he also knew that Kimi was lying to him. He could not stand being away from her. There had to be something he could do to get her back. He now could see why Inutaisha had been diligent to keep him protected from Kimi. He didn't trust Kimi anymore. She had to have betrayed her to their enemies.

What would happen to him now that she was gone? He couldn't stand the heartache of her absence. To be without Inutaisha was something he never had done before. At least it had been a long while since they had been separated. He sighed softly. "Kagoru?"

Kagoru looked down to see Shippa and Shippou looking up at him. "Yes."

"Everything will be fine. Inutaisha may be a headstrong idiot at times, but she will never succumb to Naraka." Shippa said as she jumped on his shoulder.

"Thanks."

"Don't worry Kagoru. Inuyasha will find her. Their counterparts afterall." Shippou now told him.

Kagoru smiled at the two. "Yes. I know. They should have been siblings instead of Sessha being Inutaisha's sister."

Shippou flashed a smile. "Well I suppose I cannot sulk all day. We have to find Inutaisha. I know she would do the same for us."

Inutaisha awoke feeling pain in her shoulders and back. Her eyes adjusted to the darkness after a few moments and she could see that she was in some type of dungeon. She felt chains bind her from moving. She would break them in a moment's time. She pulled with all her might and none of the shackles would break. She tried again and it still did not break.

"Those are unbreakable." A voice said.

"Fuck you. Nothing is unbreakable." Inutaisha snapped at the voice. She struggled to break the chains and was angered further when the voice began laughing at her. Tetsuseiga, if only she had it. She could break through the chains with it.

"You say it is unbreakable and yet you cannot break the chains. Really Inutaisha is there anything you can do right?"

She snarled loudly. "Who are you? Coward! Show yourself!" Suddenly she felt a cool touch beneath her chin and looked up to see Naraku. "Bastard!"

"Now, now Inutaisha. Lets not be nasty with each other." He regarded her with crimson eyes as she continued struggling with the chains.

"I am going to kill you!"

He laughed softly then grasped her chin harshly as she glared at him. "You're so pretty when you are angry."

"You are disgusting!" She spat at him.

"Oh my so angry."

Inutaisha growled low in her throat. "What are your plans Naraku? Where is that bitch? Your counterpart! I want a piece of her!" Her eyes glowed red as she pulled harder on the chains. "I want to rip her apart like I will you."

Naraku laughed softly which only angered Inutaisha more. "What the fuck are you laughing about?"

He grasped her chin once more. "Because you are funny to listen to."

"Don't touch me bastard!"

"I'll do what I damn well please!" He snarled back then pressed his lips harshly against hers.

Inutaisha gasped loudly then began to struggle against him. He pulled back. "Ugh! Get away from me!!"

"You think that your human mate is safe? I'll make sure he dies if you do not do everything I tell you to."

Inutaisha panted as she stopped struggling and looked in his eyes with a deadly glare. "What the fuck do you want?"

"You."

"Why?"

"Because with you, I can kill Inuyasha." Naraku replied.

"I will never help you kill Inuyasha." Inutaisha defiantly said.

"It's either him or your mate."

"I choose neither. You will have to torture me in order to get me to help you!"

"Then so be it!" Naraku shouted then left her.

"Oh Kami, protect them." She whispered softly as she wondered to herself what her fate would be.
