Ash lead Celina to her bed to sit. Mya was just finishing cleaning, when they came in and left to get a bowl of warm water and some rags. She returned quickly and gave the bowl to Ash and left once more. Ash started to clean her busted lip.

“Are you alright,” Ash asked her. It was the one question Celina was not asked the entire time.

“No,” Celina admitted as she pushed Ash’s hand away and bowed her head in shame. “I was weak. I couldn’t help her! My mother is missing because I am weak and worthless!”

“Celina you are not weak,” Ash sighed as she forced Celina’s chin up to look at her. “You are just untrained in fighting. This is not you fault, your mother knew five hundred years ago when we started this war with the demonesses of the Kami that something like this could happen. Now the only thing left to do is to get her back. I promise you she will be home safe and sound before you know it.”

“Father just received a ransom note for mother,” Tasshomaru said as he leaned on the door jam, glaring at the two. He was beyond pissed his mother had been kidnapped from underneath their noses, someone was going to pay dearly.

“Let me guess,” Ash sighed as she stood up. “They want to exchange her for the Miko?”

“Indeed,” he replied, looking away from his sister. He felt shame that no one bothered to teach her how to properly protect herself and family. They would have to rectify that once this was all over. “They are planning an attack. The Miko, Shippo, and Celina will stay here under the protection of Lord Koga and Lord Haimara. The rest of us are going demoness hunting.”

“I don’t know,” Ash replied, as she looked down at Celina who was staring at the floor. “Maybe I should stay here as well.”

“Go,” Celina growled as she stood up. “I don’t need a fucking babysitter!”

“Celina,” Tasshomaru gaped. Not once since Celina was born had he heard her curse.

“I know,” she growled. “I’m not being very lady like! I honestly don’t fucking care right now! Now get OUT!!!”

“Wha…” Tasshomaru’s jaw had drop and she had left him speechless. Ash pushed him out of the room and shut the door behind her. “What just happen? That wasn’t my sweet little sister!”

“She’s fine,” Ash replied, pulling him down the hall. He made it easy because he was stunned at what had happen in there.

“But why would she flip out like that!” Tasshomaru asked, pulling her to a stop in the middle of the hall. “This just doesn’t make sense!”

“If I tell you, you have to promise not to freak out,” Ash said in a low hiss, and looked to make sure no one was in the hall. “She’s going into heat.”

“What?!” he roared.

“Shhh keep it down!” she hissed, as she held a hand to his mouth. “Do not tell your father, or we will have more problems on our hands. In fact tell no one.”

“But,” he growled at her as he grabbed her by the arms harshly. “She is too young to go into heat. The only time a female Inu this young goes into heat early and that is if her beast has found an intended. There are no suitable males around here, so you better be lying.”

“Look,” she hissed again, trying her damnest to keep her voice low. “We shall discuss this later. Lets get Catarina home first, so pretend you heard nothing, ok?”

“Fine!” he roared as he headed towards the meeting room where his father and the other two lords were. Shrugging her shoulders as she sighed loudly, she followed him into the room.

“So what’s the plan?” Ash asked as she shut the door.

“We find them,” Sesshomaru started as he stood. “We kill them and get my mate back.”

“Right,” she sighed, as she pinch the bridge of her nose. “So how are we going about finding them?” After a moment of silence she sighed. “So the plan is to rush in start killing things ask questions later. So what are we waiting for?”

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

“I can’t believe them,” Celina fumed as she walked out her door.

“What’s not to believe,” Koga snorted as he leaned against the wall. Celina had locked herself in her room again, and he just had the pleasure of getting her to open the door and telling her everyone just went off to battle, leaving him and the other Lord behind to guard the castle.

“That my father, brother, and uncle left me and the Miko in your and that beast’s care!” she fumed as she stormed down the hall to where Kagome was. She flung the door open, and sat down next to Kagome, still sulking. “This isn’t fair! Why am I always the one left behind!”

“I’m always left behind too,” Kagome sighed, as Koga entered the room.

“Kagome, don’t encourage her sulking,” Koga sighed as he leaned against the jam of the door.

“Oh Dammit!” Celina cried, as she smacked her forehead with the palm of her hand. “You weren’t suppose to… shit forget it you already saw her.”

“Why was everyone trying to keep you from seeing me, Koga?” Kagome asked, as she stared at him.

“Because I still have an active claim on you,” he replied, keeping an eye on the hall.

“You don’t trust the Southern Lord either,” Celina stated, Koga glance at her before surveying the hallway once more.

“I never said that,” Koga replied, crossing his arms. “It’s just too quiet.”

“Sure,” Celina snorted, as she leaned back in her chair. “I Haven’t trusted him since I met him.”

“And in that regard you are like your father,” Koga laughed, her reply was blowing him a raspberry. “Still a child.”

Taijina’s head was pounding, it felt like she had been hit full force by a truck in the head. She let out a small groan, and tried to rub her head with her hands, only to find that they were bound by chains hanging from the ceiling. Opening her eyes she felt the cold steel around her neck. They had chained her and put a collar on her. Letting out a low feral growl, she heard laughter to her side.

“So you’ve revealed yourself wench,” Taijina growled, as she struggled to look behind her at her captor. “Still after the jewel?”

“It is our holy mission to purge the lands of the jewel of four souls,” the female voice stated as she headed towards Taijina, whom was getting off her knees, only to be struck down once more. “You shall remain on your knees in my presence traitor! The punishment you shall receive will leave you broken and tortured. We only await the arrival of your mate and son.”

“You leave my son out of this!” Taijina growled as she leapt to her feet, only to be hit once more until she was on her knees again. “He isn’t apart of this!”

“He became apart of this once he was conceived in your wretched womb!” she hissed. “All that are born from an unholy womb will suffer at our hands. Your pups shall be no different. We shall destroy them in order of birth, your unborn pup being the last. You will see their blood flow from their wounds and we will take pleasure in your tears.”

“Haven’t you twits become a little twisted over the years?” Taijina laughed. The female came into the light, causing Taijina to gasp. “Mira! Lady of the North, the fucking dragon princess is the head lady around here?!?!?”

“No,” laughed the green hair dragon, dressed in a deep purple Kimono covered in sapphires gripped her chin and forced Taijina to look up at her. “I’m her twin sister Miska. Why do you think the Northern Lord turns death ears to your pleas of help. You are pathetic. You have shamed yourself and the Kami above has abandon you. I will take great pleasure in your suffering then place myself as Western Lady. Then all I need to do is get rid of that pesky wolf, and the four demon lords shall once again rule over Japan and soon the world. These humans will learn their place!”

“What of the Southern Lord?” Taijina asked, hoping she wasn’t about to receive the answer that would kill any hope.

“He is my mate,” she purred darkly, letting an evil grin slowly slip over her lips.
