They've awoke


Sesshoumaru awakens

Hani called Benten, Aizen-Mayoo and Gekka-O to her. "I have released your lovers. You may continue your plans. If you see Sesshoumaru harming the miko demoness you will let me know immediately. Is this understood?"

The three nodded and bowed to Hani then turned to leave.

Aizen-Myoo walked beside his companions. "I had best keep a watchful eye on the demon lord for a little while. He is sure to be angry at our interference." He bowed his head to his friends and disappeared.

"I had better retrieve the necklaces. I was told they were done. That way we will be sure to have them when we need them." Gekka-O bowed his head to Benten and disappeared.

Benten found herself alone. I had best finish Kagomes bodily changes. I can't leave her with hanyou ears. Even though they look so cute. She disappeared like her friends did.

Aizen-Myoo watched over the lord as he gently woke up. The dragon demoness stood by his bed.

"My lord you are awake." Hiroe stood up and leaned over to get a closer look at her lord.

"Where am I and what happened?" Sesshoumaru sat up and frowned when he saw Hiroe standing over him.

"My lord you have been asleep for two and a half days. I tried everything I knew to wake you my Lord but nothing work. Please forgive me." Hiroe bowed her head. She expected Sesshoumaru to cut it off for her incompetence.

"I am sure you did your best Hiroe. Do not let it worry you." Sesshoumaru could tell he surprised the old dragon. He hid his smirk behind his mask. "Where is Eijiro?"

"He is out patrolling your boundaries my lord. He did not trust another to do so. I am sure he will return shortly. Would you like for me to get you anything while you wait my Lord. You are sure to be hungry." Hiroe saw him shake his head no.

"You can send Jaken in on your way out however." He put his legs over the side of the bed and stood up. He watched Hiroe leave and walked over to his cabinet and retrieved a new kimono and haori. He was in sore needed of a bath.
He didn't know what the dragon healer had put on him but it smelled terrible. He heard a knock at his door and called for the person to enter. When Rin ran into the room he braced himself.

When Rin saw Sesshoumaru standing up she ran to him and hugged his leg. "Lord Sesshoumaru you are awake. Rin was so worried about you. Hiroe would only let Rin see you a few times. But Jaken was nice and kept telling Rin how you were doing. He even played with Rin after he finished his chores. Rin had lots of fun with Jaken."

"I am glad that you are well Rin and that Jaken took such good care of you while I was asleep." He patted her head. "You must go finish your studies for the day. After you get done and you listen and do your work I might take you to the garden to pick flowers."

"Really Lord Sesshoumaru. Rin would like that very much. May Ah Un come with us." She looked up him and smiled.

He knew he lost again. "Yes if you do your work without complaint."

"Thank you Lord Sesshoumaru." She hugged his leg extra tight before turning him loose and running from the room.

"My Lord you wished to see me?" Jaken entered the room and bowed to Sesshoumaru.

"Yes Jaken had anything important happened that I need to know about?" He watched his servant bow to him then enter his room more.

"No my Lord. I handled all the daily letters from the other lords and the responses from your letters are awaiting you on your desk." Jaken stood ready to receive further orders.

"Very good Jaken. Rin is waiting for you to begin her studies. When she is done send her to me." Sesshoumaru walked passed Jaken and out the door.

"Yes my Lord." Jaken was so happy his lord didn't hit him or kick him or even throw him out the window. He left to go to the room beside Rins that Sesshoumaru had made into a teaching room.

Kagome awakens

Benten appeared beside Kagome and ran her hands over the girls ears. The cute looking doggy ones were replaced by pointed ones simular to Sesshoumaru's. She looked at the kitsune laying on the girls lap. She would have to talk to Kishi-Bojin about helping the kitsune and the human girl Rin. The little kitsune had not left the girls side for hardly more than a moment. He treated the girl just like a mother and the girl treated him like her son. It was time to wake the girl. She waved her hand over Kagomes body and left when her job was complete. She however didn't go far. She wanted to keep an eye on the girl for a little while.

Shippou was sleeping on Kagomes chest again. He felt an arm come around him and hug him closer to her. He opened his eyes to see who was hugging him. "Kagome okaa-san you woke up." He hugged her and couldn't help the tears that came to his eyes.

At his shout everyone around the camp awoke and rushed to her side.

"Kagome we have been so worried about you." Sango dropped down beside her.

"Yes Kagome we were very worried." Miroku sat down beside Sango. It wasn't long before you heard "hiraikotsu" and saw the monk fall backwards unconscious.

Kagome laughed "I guess nothing has changed much since I have been asleep."

"I wouldn't say that Kagome." Inuyasha walked up behind her and just glared at her.

What is wrong with Inuyasha. He is acting weirder than normal. "Why not Inuyasha?"

"I would say that you have changed a lot. I would like to know what happened to you." He was still glaring at her.

"I was asleep Inuyasha. Nothing more. What has gotten into you?" Kagome sat up and went to stand to face him better.

Inuyasha watched her go to stand but kneeled down closer to her so she couldn't stand just yet. "Nothing more huh. Then tell me why you have my brothers courting mark on your neck?"

Surely the mark didn't appear on her before she awoke. She could hardly believe that she still had it. She put her hand to her neck and rubbed the area where the bruise was. "What?"

"Come on Kagome don't play stupid. You knew what I was talking about because you put your hand right to it. You aren't fooling me. Now I want some answers." He grabbed her arm and pulled her to her feet to face him.

Kagome turned toward Sango and handed her Shippou. She didn't want the kitsune to get hurt. "Inuyasha you will turn loose of my arm if you want to keep your hand attached to your body." She almost laughed when he tightened his grip. If he wanted to be that way she would show him that she wasn't as helpless as he thought she was. "Sango make sure Shippou stays away from us."
She leapt into the air dragging Inuyasha with her. She moved them some distance from the camp with just that one leap. When she landed she slashed at Inuyasha with her claws.

He had to jump back to avoid her claws. What happened to her. She had never acted this way before. "What do you think you are doing bitch?"

"Is that suppose to be an insult Inuyasha. Because since I am now a inu youkai I am not sure I can take it as one. I will have to be sure to ask Sesshoumaru the next time I see him." Kagome could see that her comment upset him. But he started it. "I am tired of you always trying to bully me. It isn't going to happen again. I will make sure of it."

"I wasn't trying to bully you wench. I just wanted an answer." Inuyasha circled her. He stood on his guard he didn't want to give her another chance to attack him.

"You have no right to demand answers to a question you had no right asking to begin with. I don't question you about smelling like dirt and decaying flesh do I." He really got her angry now. "You are not my mate so I do not have to answer to you about anything that I don't want too. You chose who you wanted and it obviously wasn't me since I can smell her stench all over you. I will continue with my promise to collect the shards and help defeat Naraku but do not make the mistake to question me again or you will be left on your own." Kagome turned away from the surprised hanyou and started walking back to the fire and the rest of the group. "Oh by the way Inuyasha ,Osuwari." She felt a small bit of satisfaction on hearing his body hit the ground.

When she reached her friends they were all starring at her with their mouths opened. Now she could see why Sesshoumaru said she had looked like a hatchling waiting for a meal. She smiled at all of them and sat back down on her sleeping bag. She held out her arms and Shippou rushed to her.

Shippou couldn't believe that his okaa-san had stood up to Inuyasha. It was about time. She should have done it sooner. "Wow momma I never expected you to do something like that."

"May I say Kagome that it was probably long over due." Miroku leaned over to hug her and she let him. She should have known better. She felt his hand on her backside and hit him in the head with a fist. Again the poor monk fell unconscious.

Sango looked at the monk. "Too bad we can't get Kaede to make a necklace for him. It would come in very handy. Not to mention saving my boomerang and your hand. Kagome I am not going to ask you about what just happened at least until we can get some privacy. Then you had better brace yourself for lots of questions."

"Its a deal Sango. How would you like to join me at the hot springs. I really need a bath then I will tell you what happened." Kagome laid Shippou on the sleeping bag. "Shippou stay here and make sure Inuyasha and Miroku doesn't follow us please."

"I will do that momma." He felt so proud that his momma asked him to make sure that the guys didn't follow them.

Kagome grabbed her bag and stood up. When she turned she was once again faced with and angry Inuyasha. "Sango and I are going to the hot springs and you had better not follow us."

"I heard you tell Sango that you would tell her what happened why can't you tell the rest of us?" Inuyasha folded his arms across his chest and continued to glare at her.

"I am not telling you everything because you do not need to know just yet. When the time is right I will tell you. I just need more time before I can talk to you. Maybe after you take a bath so you don't smell like a cemetery. Then I might be able to be around you." She grabbed Sango's hand and they took off running to the hot springs.

Inuyasha looked at her. What did she mean he smelled like a cemetery. He looked up and found Miroku and Shippou both looking at him. He knew they were trying not to laugh. "You think she is funny. Wait till I get my hands on you too." He took off running after them.

Miroku and Shippou saw him heading for them and they took off. They didn't want him to catch them in the mood he was in. They just hoped the girls got back soon.
