The Fun is Over

Kagome entered her tent. It had been another long day. How did a demon lord know so much about miko powers? I guess he lived by the same rule as Sango. Know your enemy. He knew about her powers than she did. It made one wonder. Of course he has had many years to gather his information. She wanted to go take a bath but didn't want a repeat of last night. She would just wait a little then she go. After she was sure that Sesshoumaru was asleep. She set down and ate her supper and then grabbed a book and laid on the bed. I will just lay here for a little while then I will go take a bath. She promptly fell asleep.

Sesshoumaru could hear the sounds coming from Kagome's tent. He wondered if she was getting ready to take another bath. He took his seat at the table and started eating. After he was done he listened for any sounds from Kagome's tent. She must have fallen asleep because he didn't hear any sounds.
He sighed in frustration. He had hoped that she was going to take another bath. There will always be another time. He finally picked up a book and settled down to read a little. He heard a sound at the door of his tent and walked to the opening. He expected to find Kagome not Hani. He bowed to her and motioned for her to enter his tent.

Hani entered the tent and took a seat at the chair across from him. "So Lord Sesshoumaru how is Kagome's training progressing?"

"She is doing fine. She is still not as fast as most higher demons but if she continues practicing it will not take her long to usurp them. She has just about learned all I can teach her without weapons." Sesshoumaru watched the goddess smile and rest her head on her intertwined hands.

"Well we must save you something to teach your mate. This is your last night in this camp. You will both awaken tomorrow. But before I depart I want to leave you with a piece of advice. Even though you are returning to your life do not think that you will be able to harm the miko demoness. Until I am satisfied that she is happy she will be under my protection. You will not harm her unnecessarily. Do you understand?" Hani watched the anger play across the demon lords face.

"I understand my Lady. But understand that if I take her for my mate you will not interfere in our life any more." Sesshoumaru stood and looked down on the goddess.

"That is not for you to decide Lord Sesshoumaru. I will interfere as I see fit and there is nothing that you can do to stop me. Do not force the issue Sesshoumaru because you will not like the outcome." Hani stood and walked to the door. "Take care of Kagome for her fate is now in your hands." She walked out of the tent and disappeared.

Sesshoumaru did not like having a goddess telling him what he can and cann't do. He has not had to listen to anyone since he was old enough to slay the Chancelor. It was not something that sat well with him. He calmed down soon after. If this was going to be their last night together he was going to make the most of it. He walked out of his tent and went to Kagome's. He found her on the bed sound asleep. So he walked around the bed and laid down beside her and pulled her closer to him. He draped his right arm across her chest and placed his hand over her breast. She snuggled closer to him and sighed. He was shocked when she placed her hand on top of his. Sesshoumaru just laid there enjoying the feel of her against him. He wondered if she would act so comfortable if she was awake and knew he was there. At least she was comfortable with him when she was asleep. He listened to her even breathing which soon lulled him to sleep.

Kagome awoke later and couldn't move. She looked down and saw an arm around her and moved her head slightly. Sesshoumaru was laying down on the bed beside her. She was shocked but he looked so peaceful laying there she didn't have the heart to wake him up. He would never suspect that she knew he was sleeping there. She kissed his cheek and turned back around and was soon back to sleep.
