A New Path

A/N: Sorry guys. I really had a bad semester so I didnt have time for fanfiction. I got good grades though! I'm going to try to write more chapters while I can, and I'm sorry this is so short. It is late and I dont have time to write more. Thank you for the advice and ideas, I'll work on it. I want to get the marriage/mating over before Kagome gets pregnant, and I want Litara to give Inuyasha a run for his money before they mate, but I'll get to the babies eventually. Enjoy!

Inuyasha made it back to camp just as the others were getting ready to eat. He looked around at them, but the only one to show any concern was Sango. She looked at him very sadly and strangely emotion filled. Inuyasha frowned a bit and sniffed the air again. He then smirked, and spoke to Sango.

“It looks like we may need more firewood to keep the stew hot. Sango, why don’t you get up for once and help me get some.” He said. Sango glared at him, then at the woodpile. She shrugged and got up to follow him into the woods. They stopped at a clearing out of earshot but not too far from the camp.

“What is it Inuyasha? There was plenty of wood there, we could have had lunch first.” She said.

“I wanted to let you know, before Litara or Sesshomaru yelled it out, that your scent has changed.” He said.

“So? What’s the big deal?” She asked.

“The big deal is that it has changed dramatically woman. This dramatic change could affect how you fight in the future, and how well Miroku keeps his head in battle.”

“Inuyasha, would you spit it out? What are you trying to say?” She asked.

“Sango, you are pregnant. You and Miroku are going to have a baby. I just thought that you might want to know so that you could tell Miroku on your own time and in your own way. It is a pretty important think I would think.” He answered.

“Yes, it is. Thank you for telling me Inuyasha. I’m not sure whether to be excited or frightened. But I’m glad you told me.” She said, jumping up and hugging him. She laughed and looked giddy for a few moments, then calmed down. She decided that it would be best to tell Miroku during the afterglow when they made love next, and to get Litara and Sesshomaru, and Kagome now as well, aside to ask them to keep quiet about her scent. The two headed back to the camp.
