Kin Asks

Kin Asks

By Salome and Talon

Warning: Shota. Smut. Kinks of many varieties. Don't read it if you don't want to.

Sesshoumaru sits in his large chair, watching Kin play on the floor with his toys and pretend not to be watching his Onii. "Come," he says, "Don't be shy with me, Kin: you are my treasure."

The pup eagerly climbs into his Onii's lap. "No one else can be your treasure, yes, Onii?"

"Do not mistake me, little treasure. Onii may take whomever he wishes to be his treasure. Onii may claim many, own more. If he so chooses. Onii is the One True Son of his Lord Father."

"Yes," Kin says quietly. "Onii may do as he wishes."

"So he may treasure whomever he wishes, and few will even consider resisting him. Fewer still would reject him. Do you understand, Kin?"

He wrinkles up, makes a thinking face. "Yes. But...no one loves Onii like Kin does," he says, firmly.

"That is entirely true, Kin. I would never deny it or attempt to do so."

"Kin belongs to Onii. Kin cannot belong to anyone else, right?"

"I do not see why Kin would wish to belong to anyone else…"

"Kin does NOT wish to belong to anyone else!!"

"…unless you would rather live with our Lord Father?" he teases, knowing Kin is fearful of Papa, and for good reason. Lord Tai does not interact with his bastards except to have them presented, as Kin was, then returned to their mother's care and the often harsh life as a bastard in the concubine quarters.

Kin shakes his head vigorously. "Papa did a good thing and gave Kin to Oniisama. Kin will never belong to anyone but Onii. Kin does not want Papa, Kin only wants Oniisama."

He enjoys this answer more than he will admit, though his next words make it plain enough: "Then we shall have to figure out a way to signify that Kin belongs to Onii. Every servant and all who live in the castle grounds know—or will know in time—that Kin belongs to Sesshomaru. But what of strangers who visit? How shall they know Kin is mine?"

A puppy grin spreads across Kin's face. "Kin can hang onto Oniisama ALL THE TIME," he says with a giggle.

Sesshoumaru ruffles the pup's coarse hair. "You do try, don't you, pet?"

"Yes!! But Kin also likes to be as good as he can be for Oniisama."

"Kin is a very good boy."

The puppy smile grows even bigger. "Kin does not wish to disgrace Oniisama. So Kin listens carefully, and tries his best when he is in Onii's office. And other places." He cocks his head. "Onii?" He pats moko-sama. "How come you has a moko-sama and Kin does not?"

"My fur."

"Yes. You have a moko-sama. Papa has one too. But Kin does not."

"This is true. And our Father's father is said also to have had one. My mother does not. It is rare."

Kin sucks his finger. "Some of Kin's brothers and sisters have fur on their shoulders...but not like this. Just a little...fuzzy skin. Not like moko-sama. It doesn't move...it is part of their skin."

"My fur is a part of me, yet it is not only a part of me. My mind controls it, but not my conscious mind."

"Onii..." he begins again, his eyes bright. "When Kin lived with his brothers and sisters, we heard many things about our Father's Mate."

"My mother?"

He pets moko softly. "Does moko-sama like Kin?"

"Yes, he replies, watching his fur curl possessively around the child. "You can certainly answer that question for yourself, pet."

He smiles. "I think moko-sama likes to touch Kin. When Kin wakes, moko is almost always between Kin's legs. And when Onii carries Kin, moko-sama winds around him too. I like moko-sama very much, and I am always very gentle, yes Oniisama?" His voice becomes worried. "Onii never said, but Kin always thought it is important to be gentle with moko-sama."

"You are a perceptive child, Kin. Onii is certain it has kept you alive and well."

"Does Onii feel when Kin touches moko-sama? Or when moko-sama touches Kin?"

"Yes, always. And I am always gentle with my fur, too."

"Yes Onii." He nuzzles his face gently into moko-sama, then looks up. "Is it true Onii, that your revered mother is the most powerful poisonous youkai living? He reaches out to touch Onii's pretty markings with a gentle finger. "I know these mean warnings...the color and the placements...yes?"

"The markings are ancient inheritances from my mother." He adjusts himself and Kin on his lap. The boy never quite settles. "Be still and Onii will tell you about them."

Kin tries hard to not wiggle, but moko-sama is very tickly.

"My mother people trace their lineage back even further than our father's. Long ago, when youkai were less…civilized then we are now, when humans were chattering animals we shunned entirely or used only for food, my mother's people already had markings that signified the power of their bodies. The stripes on my face, arms, thighs, hips—they signal the poisons in my body: in the hollow of my fangs, beneath my claws, in my saliva. The color shows I can control the poison. In generations past, the markings were darker—indigo or black, to signify the lethal touch that was unavoidable, leading my mother's people to mate only with others of our clan. Yet, over time, and with terrible, lethal results, we learned that the clan could, with care, interbreed. And this brought greater control. You can see it in the violet of my stripes."

His eyes are wide, and his attention rapt as Onii speaks. "So if Onii and Kin lived long ago, Kin could not be with Onii? Could not please him like I do?"

"That is so. But we need not dwell upon what is not, child. We live now. And Kin is Onii's. Would you like to hear about the crescent upon my forehead?"

He touches his own bare forehead. "Yes please, Oniisama!!" Reaching up, he traces Onii's with a soft claw. "It is a very pretty moon, Oniisama..."

He loves the child's curious touch. How different it must be to touch without consideration of toxicity, and yet also to have had to worry so much about status and who might or might not be touchable. He has never hesitated in his life to touch whatever or whomever he wishes. Except for his father, of course.

Sesshoumaru continues: "Should I have children, which tradition says I must—to produce an heir—their stripes will perhaps be even paler, though it is difficult to say, and the moon may not appear on my offspring." He pauses. Kin is all the child he can imagine wanting and then some, but he is father's child. Perhaps that is why he is the child Sesshomaru wants. Or perhaps it is because he is young and has never met a female he wished to breed with. He doubts firmly that he ever will.

"I am also proud of the crescent moon on my forehead, a mark that came from my mother's mother's clan. It indicates that we are favored by the ancient goddess Eien. Few believe in her anymore, but her name, Eternity, signifies that she bestows long life. My mother is far older than our father, in fact. She will not tell how old she truly is, but she says I may live as long or even longer than she because I have the moon marking." He strokes Kin's cheek. "Now, did that answer all of your questions, pup?"

He thinks about this. He had always heard that the Lady of the West was truly powerful and wise. And he thinks she must have to be, because Oniisama is...EVERYTHING. "Onii got his poison and markings from his revered Mother. And moko-sama from Papa?" He touches moko-sama who squeezes him gently, petting him under his chin. "How did Onii get moko-sama?"

Sesshomaru smiles inwardly at the implications of Kin's words. As if he bought or grew his fur over time. "Onii was born with his fur. And when Onii is in his true form, his inu form, his fur is integrated into his body. Do you understand, Kin?"

"Kin understands Onii's inu form, even if Kin has never seen it. Kin understands moko-sama...does what it wishes? Is that right Onii?"

"Yes, that is right. As right as Onii understands it himself. Onii is accustomed to how his fur 'lives.' Mokomoko could not live if Onii were to die. It does not eat or breathe…it is part of Onii, but it is controlled by a part of my mind that I do not control."

"Papa's fur goes from two shoulders, and Onii's only one. Kin likes Onii's much better. Onii got very good things from his Revered Mother and Lord Father, I think." He touches his own face. "Kin does not even have markings like Papa. No one else has ears like Kin's either."

"Thank you, my Kin," he says, replacing his fur's place beneath the pup's chin. He tips his face up and kisses his forehead. "You remind Onii of how special he is. And not only to rule others, but because he has so much from his beautiful—and powerful—mother and powerful—and also beautiful—father." He strokes Kin's ears gently. "Kin's ears are special indeed. They are expressive. See? Onii's ears do not move. They are sensitive like Kin's, but they do not show his emotions or respond so delightfully to touch." He bends forward and runs his lips along the edge of a furred tip. He whispers softly: "Onii finds Kin's ears as tempting as Kin finds Onii's 'moko-sama.'"

He shivers. "Onii is welcome..." but it is distracted manners because of Onii's lips and whisperings that tickled the flittery hairs around his ears. "Kin only likes Onii's touch on his ears. Kin's brothers and sisters grabbed and yanked and bit them. Kin only wants Onii to ever touch his ears." A pause. "And Yumi, because she is gentle when she bathes Kin."

"And perhaps Kini?" he teases, though it is only his words and not his tone that suggests the tease. He strokes them more intently now, loving their sensitivity, and the way Kin has gone from flinching to tolerance to cherishing his brother's touch.

"Only if Onii says Kini may." His eyes close and he wriggles slightly and makes contented grunting sounds at the stroking. He opens one eye. "Kagura may not."

He cannot resist pushing. A pleasant opportunity for a lesson. He continues stroking the ears with pleasure as he speaks. "Kagura…may not, Kin? Have you authority to speak so, child?"

He opens both eyes uncertainly and looks up at Oniisama. "Kin...does not want Kagura to touch his ears..." Were his ears not being so smoothly petted, so wonderfully touched, they might have migrated to his skull in consternation, both in wondering if he had said a Bad Thing, and also thinking of how Kagura last touched his ears. Her nails were harder than his puppy claws, and they hurt him.

"That is the way to tell Onii your feelings, Kin. You may—and should—always tell me what you desire and what you loathe. But know that I will ultimately decide what will be permitted. Is this what you wish, Kin?"

He blinks several times. "Kin should tell Oniisama what he likes and does not? Always?"

"Yes, but Kin should know he will never get to make the final decisions in his life because he is claimed. Onii is Kin's protector and his owner. Even more than Kin's mother, Kin is Onii's to protect, to teach, and to govern. This means Kin's trust in Onii must be absolute. If Onii says Kin will let Kagura touch his ears, he must do so. Onii is very much more powerful than Kin's siblings." He pauses, thinking what his father would do now. His approach includes what he sees as similar wisdom, but greater need. After all, Kin is not his child, nor will he ever access power—except through the privilege of belonging to Lord Sesshomaru. He lifts Kin and kisses him, soft at first, and then more deeply. His tongue laps at the child's lips, presses inside to taste his always-arousing flavor, and laps his chin, jaw, cheeks.

"Oh..." But he says nothing more, not at first, because Onii kisses him. He LOVES it when Onii kisses him. He loves the taste of Onii's tongue in his mouth. "Kin..." He pants slightly as Onii's tongue moves over his face. "Kin...understands." He thinks he does anyway. Onii owns Kin, and takes care of him. Onii says yes or no, not Kin.

When he has sampled the sweetness of that mouth and face, he pauses again to return to speech. "Onii treasures Kin. All of Kin. And Onii wants Kin to grow up strong and smart and the most beautiful creature in the kingdom. All will be jealous of Onii's treasured pet. All will want to touch him. But only Onii will say who may or who may not…and most may not. And Onii will always know—and want to know—what Kin desires." He muses that the longer Kin belongs to him, the more Kin's desires will match his. That is the beauty of his claim. He speaks again: "Every day you will be more mine." Somehow, this talk has veered into much he has not fully considered until now. All is new. Kin is not like Sesshomaru, and he is not Sesshomaru's child. He is unique…his status is unique. Kin is little brother…pet…treasure. And he brings Sesshomaru pleasure, confidence, and a degree of happiness he dare not name, lest it be taken from him.

"Kin only wants to be Oniisama's. Only. Only. Always. Kin knows Onii will take care of him. But Kin can never be more beautiful than Oniisama..."

As he thinks these thoughts, there is a knock at the door. And Sesshomaru knows without doubt that it is his father.
