A Reflection of Darkness
*author's note: This chapter has a short non-consensual lemon, for those of you offended by this please don't read. As a woman who has gone through something of the like I don't want to cause anyone any bad memories or thoughts but, I don't write or say anything that I don't have a reason behind.*
Chapter 19: A Reflection of Darkness
Kagura warily eyed the abominations that surrounded her. They were training for the battle that was coming and had been preying on both humans and demons to appease their bloodlust. Disgusted she went back inside the temple and studied all that resided inside.
The boy Kohaku seemed to stare off into space with his listless eyes while Kanna stood next to a silent Kikyo, who had a strange look on her face. Kagura’s red eyes then fell upon her master and she gasped at the sudden rage that appeared on his features. She watched as he arose from his throne and stared at the legion of monstrosities outside. His clawed hands clenched tightly and she could see a steady drip of blood leak from his palms.
“What ails you Naraku?” She asked curiously.
“She has joined with another…”
Kagura smirked with hatred at her master’s misfortune. “Well I suppose that’s it then. She has come into her powers and has another mate, so you will have to give up this venture.”
Kikyo watched fearfully as Naraku slowly turned his heated gaze to Kagura. His eyes seemed to glow with his anger at the wind sorceress and he strode toward her.
“You seem to constantly want to try my patience Kagura.” He said in a deadly voice as he continued his approach to her. “I have already told you once that you will obey me and not question my motives but, you just don’t seem to understand.”
Kagura tried to back away from him but he struck her across her cheek, making her fall to the floor. She looked up at him through pain filled eyes and saw him beckon Kikyo, Kanna, and Kohaku to the door.
“I will not have anyone challenge my authority. I am your master, I made you who you are. You belong to me,” he said quietly as he watched Kikyo and Kanna reluctantly exit the room leaving him alone with his rebellious servant. “You mock my pain, and do you think I will let you go unpunished?”
Kagura turned fear filled eyes up at him and looked to the door in panic. “Forgive, me Naraku. I did not mean to mock you or your love.” She begged, hoping that he would accept her remorse.
However, at her mention of his “love” he grew silent. Kagura saw him begin to tremble with fury and she tried to crawl away from him. Suddenly she felt a hand wind itself in her hair and yank her head back. She gasped as she saw tears on Naraku’s face.
“She betrayed me again. She should have sided with me that day against the Supreme One and now she offered her innocence to another. I felt her pleasure, the pleasure that should have been my triumph.”
Kagura gasped as Naraku threw her to floor. When she landed on her hands and knees she heard the rustle of clothing and she began to rapidly crawl away. She could sense Naraku’s hate and anger on her and before she could reach the door to her escape she felt rough hands grab her waist and hike her kimono up and over her back. She cried out her protest as she felt the material covering her lower region was viciously ripped away. Wrought with panic she tried to escape her attacker but he grasped her hair once more and pushed her forward to her hands, her behind high in the air. She felt a scream tear from her throat when she felt Naraku push into her. Bursting through her innocence without mercy and stretching her completely.
With every violent thrust, Kagura’s speared body rocked back and forth and she gasped as he rode through her pain. She felt his long hair cover her and she could feel his icy cold tears as they landed on her partially exposed back. She could hear him cry and between his sobs of pain he dug his fingers deeper into her hips.
“Kagome, how could you… You were mine. I loved you, I would have given you everything your heart desired. How could you let them take what was promised to me…”
Kagura began to cry as Naraku continued his assault on her body and finally he stiffened and exploded his release as he screamed Kagome’s name. Her body was exhausted as she felt him pull from her and she could feel his release drip from her in a steady stream. She lay there on the cold floor, her eyes empty and she barely registered him rising to his feet and fastening his kimono. She watched him blankly as he walked toward his throne and collapsed on it, staring back at her with hatred.
“Get up, and get out of my sight.” He said venomously. “All of you disgust me. There is no woman on the earth or in the Heavens that can compare to her.”
His hate filled voice seemed to bring Kagura back to her senses and she painfully pulled her kimono back down as she rose to her feet. She said not a word as she gazed at Naraku, her eyes blazing.
He watched as she silently left him to his solitude and he stared at the floor at the spot in which he had ravished her. His eyes grew dark as he saw a image of Kagome in the same position. Her blue hair grasped in his hand as he pounded her from behind, forcing delicious screams from her.
“You haven’t won just yet my love. You may have denied me your innocence but I will claim you. I will claim you over and over again until the memory of your betrayal is erased from my mind, and believe me, that will take an eternity…”
When the chill of the outside air hit Kagura she shivered. She held back the tears that threatened to fall from her eyes and looked over to Kanna and Kikyo who had worried looks on their faces. A determined look came over her face as she stared at her sisters. Sisters that were each trapped in the web of the abomination.
“I don’t care if I die trying but, I promise you that I will do everything in my power to see Naraku destroyed. Once and for all.” She said quietly and walked away in silence.
Kikyo watched her limp away and she felt a rise in emotion from inside. She was about to follow and comfort the abused woman but the little girl at her side held her mirror up and bade her to look into its depths. She glanced curiously at the girl for a moment, then when the mirror began to swirl she focused her attention upon it. She gasped in horror at what she saw but could not tear her eyes away.
The sky was dark and boding, not a star could be seen and it looked as if a great war had been fought. Bodies of humans and demons alike littered a vast battleground. Not a living soul could be seen for miles except for dark beings that stood triumphantly over some of the corpses. Some of them held severed heads from the dead humans and had begun to cheer for their Lord who had achieved victory.
The mirror changed from this vision to show another in which Naraku had his arms wrapped around a distraught looking woman with long blue hair. She was bloody and screaming hysterically at the sight of two silver haired demons that lay dead on the ground before her. Naraku was laughing and mocking at her pain as he abruptly threw her away from him and violently kicked a lifeless Inuyasha. Finally he turned away from the corpses and looked lustfully at the woman. As the mirror faded into another vision, Naraku had pushed the woman to the floor and began to ravish her alongside the dead brothers.
The last that the mirror shown was the most disturbing. What looked like to be human slaves were being beaten and tortured. Overlooking the spectacle was a grinning Naraku, a bluish black haired male that was laughing at the anguish that was going on below him, and the woman. Her blue hair and once glowing skin was dull and her blue eyes that were once fierce and loving were now empty and despairing. As the mirror focused on the woman, it glided downward to her belly and it revealed that she was heavily pregnant. It seemed linger on this particular piece of the vision and then slowly it began to fade away into darkness.
Hot tears ran down Kikyo’s face. She couldn’t get the woman’s eyes out of her head no matter how hard she tried to shake the memory out of her mind. It seemed that those piercing blue eyes were pleading with her and wouldn’t let her forget. Suddenly Kikyo felt a small hand entwine in hers and the child’s haunting voice reached her ears.
“You cannot harbor your grudge against Kagome. You must realize that Inuyasha and his brother are the only ones who can help her succeed in destroying Naraku. If they fail then the world will be that in which the mirror has shown you.”
Kikyo stared at the girl fearfully. “How can we overcome such a great evil?”
The girl didn’t answer as she gently pulled her hand from Kikyo’s and began to walk away in the direction that her big sister had gone. Before she disappeared into the crowd of demons she turned grey eyes back to Kikyo and then vanished.
Kikyo felt a cold spot in the bottom of her stomach as she looked over at all the dead warriors and thought back to that dark reflection of what was to become if Naraku wasn’t stopped.
