When I woke up I looked around me and saw a beautiful bedroom. There was a painting on the wall of a great big dog and some how I knew exactly that it was Sesshomaru in his dog form. I smiled as I lightly touched the painting... not wanting to ruin it.

"I'm glad you are awake Kagome." Sesshomaru said as he sat down in the other chair opposite mine.

"I'm glad you are alive Sesshomaru." I said as I moved a plate in front of myself. I didn't look up at him which is why I missed the smile on his lips.

"I have you to thank for that Kagome." he said.

I looked up from buttering a biscuit and raised my eyebrow. "You have your father to thank for it, not me. I didn't know what to do. You wouldn't be here if it weren't for him. Be glad your father loves you so much." I said.

Sesshomaru got a sad look in his eyes, which I caught and I frowned at it. He noticed me looking at him and sighed.

"He didn't tell me anything when he was alive. He just had me trained and made sure I was able to take care of myself. He spent most of his time patrolling or being with his bitch," he said as he looked away from me.

I got up and kneeled down between his legs. I moved my hands up to move his face so he was looking at me.

"Your father was proud of you Sesshomaru. He loved you, even if he didn't show it. He cared about you as well. He knew you could take care of yourself, as well as his lands. He trusted your judgement. Maybe he could have shown all of this better, but nobody is perfect Sesshomaru. Not even the great Inu Tashio-- not even you." I said.

Sesshomaru's eyes were wide by the time I finished. I stood up and let go of him and started moving away. He grabbed me before I could move away from him. He pulled me into his lap and held me close.

I looked at him as he nuzzled my neck (doesn't have a mark cuz she bit him, not the other way around). When he faced me his eyes were no longer gold. They were mixed with red as well. I knew that now I had Sess and Fluffy together.

"You are correct in everything you say Kagome....." he said as he smiled down at me, "Thank you for your words," he said as he licked my neck, making me give a little moan.
