Chapter Twenty

Leiko felt them coming only seconds before she heard the scream. What a bother! She had a headache, she didn't feel up to this shit. She sat along the bank, her feet were soaking while she was leaning back on her hands.

Kouga got to her first, "Dammit, why did you run off like that?"

"I don't remember running anywhere." She sighed and closed her eyes.

"Don't be a smartass." He sat down beside her.

"Better than a dumbass." She smiled at him. "What's your problem?"

He glared at her. "Why didn't you tell me earlier that Naraku was after you?"

"I didn't know it mattered. So some loser with a power trip has a crush on me."

He grabbed her by the arms pulling her close to his face. "It does matter. You don't know him. He will not stop until he gets his hands on you. And if he ever does you will wish you were dead long before he is done with you."

The look on his face caused fear to well up inside her. Tears rolled down her face. "I'm sorry." He held her as she started to cry.

"Sorry, I shouldn't have yelled at you. We were all worried about you."

"Is she okay?" Kagome jumped off Inuyasha's back and ran over. Her crying could be heard.

"Yeah," Kouga held her till the tears stopped.

"Kouga, will you come with me. I wanna go look around. Maybe we can find a place for all of us to camp tonight."

He glanced up at her. Was Kagome asking him to go off alone with her. His eyes flew to Inuyasha waiting for the hanyou's outburst but it didn't come. He was ignoring both them staring down at the girl in his arms. Kagome had some explaining to do while they went on this little walk.

Leiko felt Kouga get up and buried her face in her knees. Inuyasha sat down beside her, too close for her liking. She felt his arms go around her pulling her to him. She ended up in his lap turned to the side, so he could see her face. His amber eyes gazed into hers and she felt her heart stop.

He stunned her by yelling. "Why didn't you come back?"

Her eyes widened. What was he talking about. "Huh?"

"Don't try to act like you don't know. Why didn't you come back after that night?"

"I...I did."

"Don't fucking lie to me. No you didn't." He was screaming in her face.

"Yes, I did." So he was going to blame it all on her. "You just didn't see me. Don't try to act like it bothered you or put on some act. We both know you didn't want me to return and still don't. You can try to act all sweet like you give a shit to impress others but it won't work with me. I know you don't give a rat's ass about me. So let me go, NOW." She climbed out of his lap standing up.

"Who the hell said I didn't care?" He climbed to his feet.

"You did." She watched his face fall. "Ah, I see you remember now. Nice to see your memory returning. Don't worry I won't tell anyone, I do have my pride. No one needs to know how you used me."

"I didn't."

Sango and Miroku landed near them yelling at one another. It stopped them two from yelling anymore. Inuyasha walked up to stand in front of her and spoke only loud enough for her to hear. "Think what you want but you won't be going anywhere. Kagome wants you to stay with us because of Naraku. And I am tired of running after you."


Kouga couldn't believe his luck. Inuyasha was in love with Raggie. He'd found that hard to believe upon being told but Kagome had confided in him about her findings. He watched them as they set up camp and got prepared to settle down for the night. Inuyasha never took his eyes off the girl. Kouga intentionally went to stand beside Kagome grabbing her hands once more. The hanyou didn't even bother glancing his way. He couldn't tell how Leiko felt she didn't glance at the hanyou once. Maybe it was all one-sided. Would serve dogshit right.

But the good thing was, with Inuyasha's mind on another woman it gave him the time he needed to court Kagome. He smiled at the thought. He was making plans on how to win Kagome's heart while everyone was suppose to be sleeping. He himself was laying on his back with his eyes closed. To anyone looking he appeared to be deep in sleep but he was actually just deep in thought. He heard soft crying all of a sudden, it was coming from Leiko. He was tempted to get up and comfort her yet something told him to give her space. There was a rustling sound and he heard her getting to her feet and very quietly walked off into the woods. Damn, now he'd have to go after her. She couldn't be running off alone. He was about to get up when he heard something land. Inuyasha had jumped out his tree and was going after the girl.


She didn't go far. She just wanted some space to be alone. Her eyes caught a falling star and she made a wish. It would never come true but it didn't hurt. She was so lost in thought she didn't hear or sense anything until he spoke.

"I thought I told you I was tired of running after you."

She bristled under the comment. "I wasn't running off anywhere, I just wanted to be alone for awhile. You can go back now. I will be back when I feel up to it."

She heard his sigh, he turned to walk away. He stopped when her arms wrapped around his waist. He stiffened at the contact. "Let go!" He smelt the tears. "I don't think it would be wise for Kouga to wake up to find you naked under me."

His implication was clear. She spoke into his back. "Then lets go further away. I can make sure we aren't disturbed." She waited for him to pull away at her suggestion. Instead he turned around and picked her up.

He took them about a mile away to a clear spot under a tree. He placed her on the ground as he deposited her he spoke. "If you are going to change your mind now is the time." She waited until she was down then began undressing. Inuyasha watched as she took off the clothing hiding her from his view. He felt the heat start to burn in his groin. So he followed suit, within a minute both were naked staring at each other.

She suddenly felt shy as he gazed down at her. She got over it quickly as he pulled her to him. His mouth came down on hers, hot and demanding. She responded in kind. She felt his impatience but didn't care. He lowered her on the ground, placing the clothing under her for some kind of protection. He was over her and she was expecting him to jump right on her instead he lowered his face to her breast. Her hands went into his long white hair. Her back arched at the feel of his tongue on her nipple. She moaned as he began to suck on her.

He didn't stay on her breasts long he quickly made his way down her stomach. His tongue diving into her belly button, licking as he went. She jumped when he settled himself between her legs, spreading them further apart. He started to lower his head and she panicked, "What are you doing?"

"Seeing if you taste as good as you smell." He bent his head and shyly brought his tongue out to run over her slick folds. Her dampness coated his tongue. Her moan urged him to continue, he slid his tongue deeper inside. He brought his fingers up to open her up. Deciding he loved the way she tasted he brought his mouth down on her fully. He heard her small cry and flicked it once again. Seeing she liked that he began to lavish it with attention. Her hands were soon fisted in his hair. She felt her walls start to tighten as she went over the edge. She screamed his name as she came crashing down.

Pleasure unlike anything she'd ever felt shot through her as he slowly entered her from behind. Inuyasha had to try and control himself. He'd dreamt about taking her this way. The feeling was almost too much for him. Her walls felt extremely tight around him and he found he could go in deeper from this position. His hands were placed on her hips holding her still while he buried himself in her hot body. He withdrew and he entered her swiftly. She cried out at the sensation. He heard the words and lost the last amount of control. He drove into her hard and fast. The sound of flesh colliding echoed in the barrier.

He rolled her over to lay on her back and gazed down at her. He wanted to see her face. He buried himself back in her picking up the same speed. He watched her eyes as she hit her peak. He bent down to kiss her neck as her walls closed around him. He felt himself reaching his climax and buried his fangs into her neck where it met her shoulders. He layed there for several minutes as his body came back down. He could still taste her blood on his tongue.
