Naraku's Devious Plan

"Well, mom helped me set up a doctor's appointment; it's in a few weeks. I'm just not sure how we're going to pay for it"

"We'll do it Kagome, don't worry"

"I think we should stay here until after my appointment"

"Sounds good to me"

"Thank you"

"For what?"

"Agreeing, it's sweet of you"

"Keh!"

Chapter 22: Decisions

A few hours after Lady Kagura left Rin. There is a knock at her door. "Who is there?" Rin asks

"It is I" Sesshamoru answers

"Enter" Rin says. Sesshamoru enters, with Shippo.

"Shippo!"

"Hi, Rin" Shippo says "Lord Sesshamoru says I'm allowed to stay here, until Inuyasha and Kagome return"

Rin blushes slightly "Thank you, Lord Sesshamoru. It is nice to have someone near my own age around"

"Welcome" Sesshamoru says before leaving the room.

Rin turns to Shippo "I'm glad Lord Sesshamoru brought you here, I really need to talk to you"

"Look, if it's about last night, I'm sorry" Shippo says Rin leans over and kisses him lightly

"It's ok, Shippo"

"Rin?"

"I like you, but I think we may be a little young for what Lord Sesshamoru thought happened"

"I'm sure we are Rin

" "Lady Kagura told me something though"

"What's that?"

"She wishes to bear Lord Sesshamoru a child, but he refuses to do so until I am either mated or dead"

"So what are you thinking Rin?"

"I was hoping that you'd be willing to be my mate, if Lord Sesshamoru doesn't agree with what I say"

"Yes, Rin, I will"

"Ok" Rin says "I must see Lord Sesshamoru now. You wait here, please?"

"I will"

Rin leaves the room, and encounters Jaken. "Jaken, I need to speak with Lord Sesshamoru"

"I believe he and Lady Kagura are in their chambers, and should not be disturbed" Jaken says

"It is important enough to disturb them" She says and goes to the Lord and Lady's Chambers and knocks

"Who is there?" Kagura asks

"Rin, my Lady"

"Good, you may enter; I need a second opinion anyway"

Rin enters and sees Kagura dressed in a fine purple kimono "Greetings"

"Do you think that Lord Sesshamoru will like this?"

"Of course, my Lady"

"Good, now why have you come here?"

"I wish to speak to Lord Sesshamoru"

"Why?"

"Because I wish for you to be happy Lady Kagura"

"Rin" Kagura gasps unsure what to say when the door opens.

"Rin" Sesshamoru says "What are you doing in here?"

"I came to speak with you, my Lord"

"Speak then"

"Lord Sesshamoru" Rin begins "I have come to the knowledge that Lady Kagura wishes to bear your child, but you refuse because of me, true?"

"That is correct"

"Well then" Rin says and takes a breath "If you still refuse then I have no option but to take myself out of the problem by finding myself a mate"

"Rin!" Kagura gasps "You are too young for such a thing"

"I will be fine" Rin says "I wish only for your happiness, Lady Kagura"

"Don't do such a thing Rin" Sesshamoru says "I see that you are able to accept a child into our family now"

"Lord Sesshamoru" Rin says "I am not your child"

"No, but I've protected you like you were all this time"

"Yes, you have"

"So" Sesshamoru says "If you won't feel out of place if me and Kagura were to have a child, then perhaps such things can happen"

"I wouldn't feel out of place"

"I only ask that you wait until you're ready to take your mate then"

"Oh, you don't have to worry about that" Rin says with a giggle "It was only a threat I'd hoped to never have go through with" Sesshamoru looks at her surprised that she had thought that far ahead. "I must be off now"

"Of course" Sesshamoru says "Have fun" Rin heads back to her room.
