A.N- Sorry this chapter took a while to come up. I promised myself that I would update per day but somehow I’m not getting enough sleep and it’s starting to show. Anyway I’ll keep adding chapters until the story is finished. (Probably 4 chaps.) So enjoy!

Chapter 2
It seems as if she’s been running for days when it’s only been an hour. Still she was pretty tired. Besides she was lost. When her best friends turned on her she took off in any direction. Kagome could still see the coldness in their eyes. What hurt her the most was seeing Shippo like that. Shippo was like a son to her and his once playful and mischievous eyes were now filled with malice and death.
Her best friend Sango was also against her. And Inuyasha…/ Did he really mean what he said? Or was he under a spell? Although sometimes he would compare me to her…/ Kagome felt her heart break in two. Inuyasha, out of the entire group, seemed to show the most hatred towards her. /Maybe it’s not a spell after all…/
Kagome rested under a tree to sort out her thoughts. She was too preoccupied to see the lean figure approaching her. She didn’t look up until it was too late. A clawed hand grabbed her throat roughly and pinned her to a tree. Kagome looked up to face her captor to meet with intense golden eyes before passing out.
(A.N.-I could just end it here but I’m not that ev_~) _~)
Kagome woke in a richly furnished room. There were flowers and fancy furniture everywhere. She was on a bed of some sort and covered in what looked like fur. /Am I dreaming? Where the hell am I?! / Her thoughts were interrupted when someone opened the door.
“Sesshoumaru?” Kagome raked her eyes up at the regal demon before her. She would never tell anyone but she always found Sesshoumaru to be extremely handsome and graceful (A.N.-Duh…) His silver mane flowed over his muscular shoulders like mercury. Deep pools of amber eyes held no emotions except for a hint of amusement.
“So, you’ve awakened.” She immediately jumped up and prepared to fight. Sesshoumaru looked down at the miko in front of him. Ever since he witnessed her pull the Tetsugaiga he has been interested in her. /How can a human possess such power? Even for a miko she is amazing…/ He mentally slapped himself for that last thought.
“What am I doing here and what do you want with me!?”
“ You were trespassing in my land.” He snapped “The penalty for that is usually death.”
“Well kill me already!” Kagome was in no mood for his bullshit right now. Besides it seemed as if her fate was sealed already. /It looks like no matter what I’m going to die. Might as well get it over with…/
Sesshoumaru arched an eyebrow at her but continued. “ I do not plan to kill you, yet. You might serve some purpose to me.”
“Like what…” She didn’t really like where this was going.
“I will hold you ransom so that my idiot half brother will have no choice but to hand over the
Tetsugaiga. Then I will use it to destroy him Cooperate and your death will be painless and quick.” Deep down he knew that he could never kill her. He respected her, but he had to use her if he was to defeat his brother.
“Inuyasha isn’mselmself but if you want you can kill the bitch that’s controlling him.” She spat
“Why were you running?” He had never seen her so fuming before. Kagome told him everything that happened.
“I know of this miko. Rumors have been circling that my brother has been bedding a walking corpse.”
“S-So it was true….” Kagome held back the tears that threatened to fall. All her suspicions were right. Inuyasha was seeing Kikyo and sleeping with her. Sesshoumaru tilted her chin up to meet his gaze.
“The spell that the corpse put on your friends sounds familiar, but if I’m correct, that type of spell doesn’t affect demons. Since Inuyasha is half demon, it should wear off quickly. Only then can you determine what he truly is.”
“What’s your reason for killing him?”
“He has dishonored our family’s name by sleeping with the dead miko. I can not let him continue.” He turned to leave. Kagome was starting to have a certain affect on him. (^_~ *wink wink*)
“Wait..” He stopped but didn’t turn around. Kagome continued. “Why are you being so nice to me.? I thought you hated me.” Sesshoumaru didn’t know what to say.
“I admire your strength and determination.” With that he walked off, leaving Kagome very confused.
“Do you know where she is?”
“With my brother”
“Good. You can accomplish your dreams and kill them both.” She turned to the others. “When you find them, don’t waste anytime in killing them…And bring me her shards.”
“As you wish” The droned in unison. The group mounted Kirara and took off in the direction of Sesshoumaru’s castle.
After Sesshoumaru left her alone Kagome decided to do a little exploring. She passed servants down the long hall and each of them bowed politely to her. The walls were adorned with beautiful hand carved wooden panels and portraits of various inu-demons. She followed the hall to some stairs and descended them to find herself on the main floor. Kagome felt a gentle breeze blowing at her skirt and turned to see a door that led to a stunning garden. Outside the air was warm but light and the smell of sweet flowers drifted to her nose. She spotted a bench and sat down. Her tranquil moment was brought to an end when she heard someone clear their throat.
“You were supposed to stay in the room.” She addressed the person without turning around.
“I was bored. I had no idea your castle was so magnificent.” Sesshoumaru didn’t answer. They both sat for a while before he continued.
“The longer you linger outside the faster my brother will find you. Do you wish to face him now?”
She thought about it for a while. “My friends are in danger. I really need to help them. Especially Shippo. He’s so small…I’m afraid of what Inuyasha will do to him.”
“I understand.” He stood up. There is an antidote not too far from here. I will retrieve it and then we will face him.” Kagome nodded.
“Can I come with you?”
“It’s better if you stayed here and rest.” She didn’t argue, she was still tired.
“Sesshoumaru-sama!” A little girl ran out of the manor and hugged the demon’s leg.
“Rin stay here and keep Kagome company, alright?” The child beamed and nodded. Sesshoumaru walked away and Rin attacked Kagome with a millions questions.
“Hi I’m Rin! What’s your name? Where did you come from? Are you going to live with Rin? I like your hair! How did you get it like that? You're pretty! Are you Rin’s new mommy? Can Rin have a brother? Are you gonna marry Sesshoumaru-sama? Are you hungry? What’s your name?”
Kagome stopped the energetic girl from asking anymore questions.
“My name’s Kagome. I came from…ah…a village really really far from here . Lets see…I don’t think Sesshoumaru wants to marry me and I cant be your mommy, I can be your friend. And sure I’d like something to eat.”
“Kay!!” She dragged Kagome back in the castle. If Kagome had looked up, she would have spotted a familiar group headed towards her.
