Under the Goshinboku

Chapter 2: First Day of High School


'Finally high school!' The silver headed hanyou 'and its the same one as Kikyo and Miroku go to' he was happy he had gotten into the same school as his life long friend and girlfriend of two years.
"Hey InuYasha!" called a women with long pin straight black hair. She had cold calculating eyes, and she wore an almost white see through tank top and a short dark red skirt then to top it off she wore gold colored sandles.
"Hey Kikyo" replied InuYasha.
"Ugh" Kikyo complained "Did you know that Higurashi goes here to?!" she made a face as if she was disgusted with the mere idea.
"Wait, Kagome goes here?" chipped in another boy with short black hair pulled into a small pony tail at the nape of his neck "We havn't seen here since sixth grade!"
"Yep Miroku, can you believe it? She's gone all fucking emo to!" said the girl.
InuYasha smiled thinking about the way the trio used to be four when Kagome was around. They had become friends when Kagome had moved to Shikon Pre-School. Then sometime in middle school Kikyo and InuYasha started getting closer even though he knew that Kagome was also taking an interest in him. All through sixth grade he kept spending alot of time with both girls until eventually he decided to get and stay with Kikyo. It had really destroyed Kagome when she had gotten into a fight with Kikyo over it. Both girls had said things that they regreted, well atleast kagome regreted. Kikyo was to cold to regret anything she said or did. Later in that year Kikyo had gained a lot of popularity pulling InuYasha and Miroku with her they slowly forgot Kagome and she eventually fadded away from the group. Then in the summer afterwards she had moved away without saying a word to anyone and no one had seen her since.
"Yeah your right Miroku, its been a long while huh?" InuYasha laughed as he grabbed ahold of Kikyo's hand just for her to tear it away. No one noticed except InuYasha, everyone else was busy talking to each other about classes and such.
As the trio began walking into the school a girl in a dark, slightly puffed out skirt and a black halter top walked passed them. She had long black and wavy hair with green streaks in them.
"Who was that?" asked InuYasha as he watched the girl.
"I dont know" replied Miroku his grin reaching his eyes "but she's got some nice legs"
"Ugh goths" Was Kikyos only response and continued walking, and InuYasha shortly followed. Mirkou stayed behind to watch the girl some more. Then he noticed a simple white dog charm braclet and hair clip to match.
"Oh Kami" was his only thought at that moment before he ran up to the girl and grabbed her shoulder, turning her around."Nice braclet"
The girl turned around surprise showing on her face at seeing one of her old friends face to face after years.
"M-Miroku?" She said
"Hey Kagome, you've changed...." He looked her up and down "a lot"
"Shit happens. I'm surprised you here though" She laughed.
"Hey, you know i have always been good with my grades" He huffed.
"Yeah but Midoriko's has more girls to look at"
"InuYasha wanted to come here as a group" He almost hesitated on InuYasha's name being said. He had no idea how she would react. She just stood there for a minute blankly staring then looked down causing her hair to cover her face more than it already was.
"Kikyo to then?" She still held her head down and a slight bit of saddness tinged her voice.
"Y-Yeah" Miroku wanted to cheer here up "Her to, They're still a pair"
Miroku's voice was soft, as she lifted her head up and pushed the hair on one side of her face to stay behind her ear where her dog hair clip sat. That made Miroku smile, ever since InuYasha had given that to her for her 7th birthday she never went anywhere without it pinned in her hair.
"Still keep that hair pin I see" He laughed
"Yeah, my hair is still unmanagable." She gave him a smile in return when suddenly another voice boomed to the thier left.
"Hey Miroku! Whats keeping you?" the silver headed boy began rushing towards them. As soon as he headed towards them. Kagome gave a small apology and hurried away so she didn't come in contact with him.
"What was that about? Talking to the goth girl and all" InuYasha asked watching the girl go off still thinking that there was something familiar about her.
"Oh not much, but i think this will be a very interesting year to come." he smiled at his clueless hanyou friend.
"Did you ask that goth chick out or something? that would definatly be different"
"Oh no, no, no my friend." Miroku chuckled and walked towards the schools door "Come on lets get to home room before class starts and were late"
"Wait!" He chased after his friend "Who was that girl anyway?"
"You'll find out my friend."
"The hell does that mean you lecher!?" InuYasha yelled.
"Well it looks like she's in our home room for one" He pointed at the far back seat near the windows.
"Huh, you didn't ask her to bare your children did you?"
Miroku didn't answer his question he just simply went into the class room with a dumbfounded hanyou in tow. Then he quickly took the seat to the right of Kagome while InuYasha took the seat in front of him.
"Hello class" Called the teacher "I am Kaede and i"m glad to see you all here today. Now lets call attendence. Miroku Houshi."
"Here"
"InuYasha Takahashi"
"Here"
"Kikyo Mikoru"
"Here"
"Hojo Akitoki"
"Here M'am"
"Kagome Higurashi"
"Present"
In surprise InuYasha looked to the girl in the corner, confused. 'That's Kagome? The sweet little girl that I used to be friends with? Had she really changed that much over a couple of years?' he thought to himself. As he rmembered how she had just all together stopped talking to him for no good reason he started fumming at how she had mistreated him. He then pulled out two pieces of paper scribbling notes onto each one. Then he gave one to Kagome and one to Miroku.

I-You didn't tell me it was her!
M- She didn't want me to
I-Bull shit, we were bestfriends
M-Not since you stoped talking to her
I-You did that to houshi
M-No we continued calling and texting after she left.
I-Grr why didnt you tell me??!!
M- She didn't want me to.
At this time InuYasha was getting even more pissed and irritated with each note he got back.

K- You started it in middle school by not talking to me
No your the one that left Higurashi
K- I left cause my parents died Asshole.
InuYasha just read that line over and over. 'No wonder she left so abruptly' He thought to himself for the rest of class.
