Fear flickered in her eyes as the words were thrown in her face. She remained still; afraid she would shatter from sheer embarrassment. How was she supposed to explain that not only did she publically announce her sexual fascination to the demon lord, but she referred to him as man’s best friend?
“Kagome.” The use of her name from the low steady voice shook her out of her stupor. She looked up from her daze to take in the youkai sitting next to her bed… only now noticing he was dressed in only sweatpants.
She flushed. “Did you sleep here!?”
