My Corner:
Here is the second chapter. I am trying to quickly edit, add, revise and upload all the chapters/stories MS gave me. It is hard since I have to be up tomorrow morning (January 28, 2011) at 6 am to go to work *sigh*. If you like this fanfiction, the characterizations and anything else please tell me. If there is something you want changed, find something intolerable/unflattering in the characterization(s)/plot/formatting, once again let me know. Just don't complain about grammar. I am doing my best and really don't want a BETA (sorry guys but I'm independent like that and I'll never learn properly form someone else - I'm an independent learner.)

Chapter Two: Trapped with a Daiyoukai
___________________________________________________________________________________
Rolling up the sleeves of her new Tokyo U sweatshirt she had found in her bedroom closet with her time schedule and other school necessities, Higurashi Kagome tied up her hair in a loose bun. Clapping her hands together, she exhaled to calm herself, closing her eyes and seeking for some sort of energy and/or strength. Feeling something warm and active in her, she grasped it spiritually. Suddenly, emblazoned with it, her eyes snapped open, a fire flashing in them. Raising a tightly clenched fist, a determined look on her pretty face, she nodded to herself.
Stepping outside her small room and seeing her boxes, she began to drag them down the hall and into her room. Her brow furrowed, she silently fumed over her situation. Her Mother had hired moving men to come with her stuff today and now they were unloading her bed, desk and other large pieces of furniture into her room. She didn't have the heart to tell them to stop, that she was going to switch rooms due to the fact her ex-boyfriend was her roommate. Glancing around her temporary room, Kagome frowned. Obviously, her furniture was too large and now made the once respectable sized bedroom into what seemed to be a cramped closet.
'Well luckily I'm getting out of here asap and going to find a dorm with a larger bedroom.'
"Excuse me, Higurashi-sama, but we are leaving." The burly leader of the five moving men announced from the doorway.
Drawn from her thoughts, Kagome left her room and walked to the men. Smiling at them, she bowed to them thankfully and then handed their boss, a large man with hairy arms and fish lips, a check of forty thousand yen.
"Thank you for helping me. I hope this is enough for your services." She said.
The man smiled. "It was our pleasure, Higurashi-sama. Have a nice day and good luck with your schooling!"
The man then gave her a deep low bow and left with his four co-workers trailing behind him in his large shadow. Closing the door, the girl sighed and turned around to head for her room. The sudden icy aura in the hallway froze her. She paused and looked up to see a glaring Sesshoumaru staring at her icily just a few meters away. She raised a black brow at him quizzically.
"What?" She demanded.
Sesshoumaru looked at her blankly. "Were you paying them for moving your articles or for other 'services' that would benefit you, Higurashi?" He asked dryly, lounging elegantly against the wall with his arms crossed over his lean chest, his face stoic.
Kagome flushed and glared at the insufferable demon. "For moving obviously. You're a demon - wouldn't you have detected mating happening by smell or hearing or with whatever other super sense you have?" She snapped.
She side-stepped around the glaring demon and walked into her room. Her door in her hand, she called behind her shoulder, "If I can hear you screwing a person, then you should be more then able to, Sesshoumaru!"
Slam.
Sesshoumaru continued to glare at the door that lead to the girl who he currently wished to wrap his delicate claws around her neck and throttle her unto death. Regaining his cold indifference, he walked back into his room, intending to check on his Father's business. While he was attending University, Sesshoumaru still held a job at his father's business, Taisho Enterprise. He was the second owner of it and when his father retired, he would be the sole owner of the large franchise. InuYasha, his half-brother, would work for him and receive their Father's second business of course. The fax machine working, he extracted the list of stock and began to click away on his laptop, intending to send the documents to his Father, Inu no Taisho, with in a few moments.

Kagome held her two hands in front of her, making them form a mini-television screen as she looked at her room. She sighed when she noticed it didn't look as good as she had envisioned. For the entire day, an estimated time period of several hours, she had been dragging around her furniture on sliding pedestals, moving pictures, holding up color sachets to the walls and trying in every way to make her room as beautiful as her bedroom at her room. Exhaling and inhaling, she closed her eyes and sensed the pleased energy in the room. She practiced the four thousand year belief of Feng Shui and believed firmly in the idea that everything had an energy and that energy needed to be organized to co-exist with others to create a harmonious atmosphere.
Besides, with a roommate that was also your ex-boyfriend and a malicious, cruel demon to boot, it was completely practical to organize her small room into a positive arrangement that would offer happiness and serenity. Sighing, she frowned.
'My chi is definitely never going to be harmonious with me. It will be working against me until I can calm down and be at ease.'
Kagome frowned. As her mother would say, 'A cluttered room is a cluttered mind'.
Rolling her eyes, the girl threw her hands into the air, exasperated with the entire ordeal. What did all of this matter anyway? She had already made up her mind that she was going to request a move to another dorm and possibly, another facility. Tokyo University was the leading University in all of Japan and held the highest percentile of graduates from it. With over thirty thousands students, two thousand of them being foreign, it also held the highest academic research facilities in Japan. It held five campuses in Tokyo in Hongo, Komaba, Kashiwa, Shirokane and Nakano. So far, Kagome was thinking to attend the facility in Shirokane. Sure, she would probably have a day's ride on the bus to come home but at least it wasn't as bad as her previous idea. She had also contemplated moving to Kyoto and attending Tokyo U in Komaba. Of course, she would have to take a two hour ride on the Shinkansen every day from Kyoto to Tokyo, but wasn't it worth the knowledge she was far away from Taisho Sesshoumaru? Stepping to the window in her small bedroom, she glanced outside of it and looked at the campus. Sakura trees had been meticulously planted around the grounds and the green lawns had been kept flawlessly.
Did she really want to leave the Kashiwa Tokyo University because she was a coward to face Sesshoumaru?
Frowning, she sighed. Great, now she was questioning her honor and pride. Exactly what she needed today to her growing amount of stress! Coughing, Kagome noticed the sudden dryness of her mouth and throat. After several hours of pulling and re-organizing heavy furniture across a small room, she was dehydrated. Swallowing, she coughed again.
'Drink. Need drink.' Her mind yelled.
Turning on her heel, she walked into the hall to see a stoic Sesshoumaru staring at the television, his face a cold mask of boredom. Scowling, she raised her head and looked ahead of her in an attempt to seem ignorant of him. If he wanted to ignore her then fine. She really didn't care. If anything, she was happy that he was ignoring her. Stopping at the fridge, she began opening cupboards until she found a small glass. Turning to the fridge and opening it, the girl quickly picked up the carton of milk and turned to pour it in the glass. Making her way over the counter, she did not notice the second person in the kitchen or them disappearing in a white flash.
Thump.
'What the...?'
Frowning when a very familiar chest came into her stunned line of vision, Kagome stiffened, her hands tightening around the glass and the carton of milk. Looking up, the girl looked into the frosty stare of Taisho Sesshoumaru.
"Yes? Can I help you?" She demanded, trying to remain calm under his penetrating stare.
Sesshoumaru's glare intensified. Reaching out at her, he quickly took the milk out of her hands and placed it in the stainless-steel fridge again. Kagome scowled at him, her sapphire eyes spitting furiously. He couldn't even let her have a glass of milk? Stepping towards him, she froze when she saw the narrow-eyed demon focus his irritation on her again. Sesshoumaru displayed few emotions and when he did, it was usually a bad ending for those who had evoked the taiyoukai to display his limited feeling range that consisted of some very negative expressions - hate, impatience, annoyance, anger and mockery.
Those cold eyes swerved on her, holding her eyes like a twin pair of magnets finding a piece of attractable metal.
"Understand this Higurashi. This is my dorm room. Not yours. I have bought the food. You have not. Everything you see here is in this Sesshoumaru's possession. I have not given you permission to use anything that is my own." He stated in a steely tone, his eyes slanting with obvious loathing.
She felt herself begin to shake from her rising anger. How could some one who had been so dear to her be so cruel? Pause that. Frowning, Kagome re-evaluated her relationship with the demon before her. He had always been cold and stoic. Nothing more then a walking piece of ice with no heart. But that was besides the point. Right now he was withholding a human necessity - liquid sustenance. She inwardly scowled. But then again, he had made it clear didn't he? He hated her and obviously didn't want to share his milk anymore then the same city and perhaps even the same country.
If anything, she could bet a hundred-million yen plus her car that he wanted to see her six feet under rather then her walking around, perfectly healthy.
Biting her bottom lip, Kagome could not help but feel the pain she had thought she had rid of after two years return with its jabs at her heart. Glancing up from underneath her onyx bangs, she noticed Sesshoumaru staring at her, his amber eyes flaring with contempt. The pain intensified in her chest yet she hid it well. If he wanted her gone then fine! He had just help her settle her decision about attending the Komaba location!
Turning away from the silent form, she bit out harshly, "Fine! Be like that, Sesshoumaru! You've always been a possessive jerk anyways. I'm moving out of here today so screw you and your stupid milk!"
Sesshoumaru watched the human girl make her way to her room. His face remaining blank, he disappeared in a flash of silver-white hair and appeared before her in mere seconds. Kagome blinked in surprise. How could she have forgotten how fast he was? Looking up into that perfect face reluctantly, she winced at the anger flaring in his golden-amber orbs.
"Do not presume to play the victim, Kagome. We both know you are no more a victim then that of a whore caught with her legs spread crying 'rape'." He snarled, his eyes tinting red.
Kagome sucked in her breath between her teeth. That asshole! Ignoring her instincts, she leaned into that arrogant face and yelled, "You're the man-whore here Sesshoumaru! Here you are, one year later after us," she choked on the word, "and you're already playing fuck buddies? At least I had the common decency and the actual feeling capacity to allow a year to pass before even looking at someone else! I already heard from Kouga-kun about your many exploits!"
Panting, she began to see red. Perhaps she was a bit jealous. Only a bit! Her body shook from anger and hurt. Her teeth gritted against each other. Lord, she was mad! Where had all this anger come from? Unsatisfied with his continued stoic appearance from her words, she tried again to get a reaction from him despite it being impossible.
"But you! You are shaming yourself and your family, you arrogant bastard! Have you no shame sleeping with whores and using women like objects? How would your Father feel if he knew? Your Mother?" She yelled.
Sesshoumaru stared at her unphazed, his face remaining indifferent.
"Cease your tedious speech wench and rid yourself from this Sesshoumaru's presence before I am forced to do so for you." He ordered, standing over head of her in an intimidating fashion.
Kagome gaped at him. Her shock quickly turning to fury, Kagome's beautiful face contorted to a look of complete rage.
"Ha! You already rid of me by force! I really hate the smell of dog mixed with sex!" Kagome yelled at him.
Not noticing the tightening around his lips or the sudden slanting of his eyes that now flashed furiously, she sidestepped around him, intending to grab her purse and leave the demon alone with his arrogance in the room. Swiftly making her way to her room again, the girl yelped when a claw wrapped itself around her upper arm tightly, ceasing her exit. Wincing when she heard her bones cracking underneath the force, she began to regret her scathing words. She had forgotten how cruel Sesshoumaru was and violent to those who had annoyed him. Trying to maintain a calm facade, she looked behind her to see Sesshoumaru staring ahead of him, his angelic features calm, unaffected by her words it seemed, yet the flaring golden fire in his eye told her she had pushed him to far. His gaze seemed so intent on the wall across of him, it seemed he was oblivious to the fact he was holding her imprisoned by his large, delicate claw.
"Release me." She ordered curtly.
Sesshoumaru ignored her as he continued to maintain a stoic composure yet inside he writhed with anger. The smell of her sakura scent wafted into his nose. He could not help but inhale the scent greedily, enjoying the smell like that of a starving beast who had just found its meal. His thoughts of decapitating her slowly melted into kissing the brave, foolish girl until she knew who she belonged to. Scowling at his changing motives, Sesshoumaru released her arm and swiftly turned his back to her, glancing at her from his shoulder with a narrow eye. He watched her grab her arm in the place he had just held her. He stayed where he stood, catching her burning sapphire eyes with once again a cold, inanimate amber eye.
His eye boring into her own like a drill, he murmured, "You were always foolish. I suggest for you to no longer presume that you can dishonor this Sesshoumaru and ridicule him with out consequence."
He stalled his words for a moment, letting his masked threat sink into that pretty head of hers.
"Leave."
Kagome looked away and nodded slightly. "Fine."
Kagome stiffly made her way to her room and grabbed her coat, remembering the chill breeze of the autumn season currently outside. Walking towards the front door, she glared at Sesshoumaru. Her eyes showing their rage and confusion, the girl opened the door. Standing in the doorway, she froze at the flashback. It was just like two years ago. She had gone to his house to try and get him back after he had dumped her but a week before. After she had pleaded for over an hour, he still had told her to leave just as he had now. It was exactly the same scenario. The rage, the hurt, the confusion... and even the set up. She was standing before a door, ready to leave him for good as she had two years ago, and he was still barking at her to leave and to never come back.
A small smile fitted itself on her lips yet it lacked no warmth or humor. It was kind of weird how the past could repeat itself. Glancing at Sesshoumaru from her shoulder, she felt her courage well up inside her. While two years ago she had left depressed and had allowed him to insult her, this time was going to be different.
"You really are the biggest bastard I've ever met Taisho." she said before closing the door behind her.
Sesshoumaru growled deep in his throat, more then willing to annihilate her, but stayed where he stood. His claws hissing with its green acid, the taiyoukai glared at the door with a hate he usually reserved for his enemies. But then again, Higurashi Kagome was his most bitter-sweet enemy. She was nothing more then a bitch that needed to learn a lesson from him. Walking towards his bedroom, he grabbed his ken, Toukijin. Grasping the hilt, he looked in the mirror. He surveyed his appearance. His perfect features were both intimidating in their coldness and beautiful and he knew he was more attractive then most demons and humans alike. His power exceeded that of any demon in Japan as of now and his wealth was unimaginable. Yet with all his accomplishments, the young Lord still had much to succeed.
He needed a mate soon to begin his clan. He had thought he had found her but....
Snarling, he turned away from the mirror, his white hair flowing behind him. Placing Toukijin back into its sheath and putting it on his fireplace mantle, Sesshoumaru walked out of his room. He would not think of her. Soon she would be gone and out of his life for good. That thought brought satisfaction him then any aced test or defeated foe. He did not need any past regrets entering his successful life. Higurashi Kagome was a problem that was going to be resolved his way.
If she did not bend to his will, he would make her. She had always been a stubborn mule when it came to listening to others.
Sesshoumaru entered the kitchen silently, his deadly presence filling the area. Taking out some sake, with a speed only he could manage so gracefully, he disappeared in a flash of an eye and was sitting on the large leather couch. Turning on the television with a flick of his claw, he glared at the contraption with a hostility meant to be directed a certain human wench.
'This Sesshomaru will not allow any more mistakes with in his life. She will leave - willing or not.'
A voice snickered within his mind. 'You really think she will listen to you? Since when did the human ever listen to us?' The voice demanded.
Sesshoumaru frowned slightly. 'She will this time if she values her life.'
'Hn. You are lying to yourself and to us. Why is it that you must keep denying the obvious? An attraction that you had felt so powerfully can not just die, fool. Even now, it is re-piecing itself together. And you are weak enough to fall to its power.'
Sesshoumaru flinched. Growling, he sent a deadly stare at the television. Bringing the sake to his lips, he scowled.
'No. Not this time.'

Closing the door behind her, Kagome walked down the hall, shaking. Her chest heaving, she suppressed the urge to yell, scream... and possibly cry. A whore? What was he talking about? He had been the one to cheat on her with Kagura! Her lips trembling, she shook her head. No. She would not fall prey to his twisted games. He was obviously trying to get to her and if she fell for his cruel trick, the bastard would smile for once in his damn life in satisfaction of breaking her hard-earned peace. Inhaling and exhaling to calm herself, Kagome walked down the hall and down the stairs. Strolling out of the dorm room building, she walked across the premises to Tokyo U, intent on meeting with the advisers to have them change her dorm room as fast as they could. Entering the office, she was directed to another one down the hall. Soon, Kagome sat in the chair in Oniregu-sama's office, tapping her foot nervously. Her blue eyes showing her hope and still lingering anger, she smiled shakily when the adviser and counselor entered the office.
"Hello, Hayashi-san! My name is Higurashi Kagome." She said as cheerfully as she could while giving a short, quick bow.
The counselor smiled gently and nodded. "Welcome to my office, Higurashi-san. Please sit." The woman pointed to a comfy chair before her desk.
She watched the counselor withdraw her file and spread it before her. Seeing her impressive documents with her honor roll certificates, the countless recommendations from numerous teachers and the chairman himself, Kagome relaxed. Surely they would do anything to please an influential student like herself! In the least, they would definitely allow an immediate transfer. Not only was she a honor-roll student with influential parents and academic figures, she was also a kind person. Surely they wouldn't be cruel to a nice person such as herself!
"Ah, yes, we are quite thrilled that you choose to come here of all schools, Higurashi-san. Please sit and we will discuss what I feel is of high importance to you."
Kagome nodded. Pressing her hands together nervously, she stared at the kind-faced counselor earnestly. "Hayashi-san, I have a matter with my living space. You see I have this roommate I do not have the best past with and well... I was hoping that you could possibly switch me into a different dorm room."
Kagome watched the counselor's face turn down into a thoughtful frown.
"Higurashi-san all the rooms are filled. I am very sorry but as you know, Tokyo U is a very popular school and we usually have all the living arrangments done three months prior to the beginning of the school year. Besides, even if we did have rooms available we would not have any rooms for a girl of your status."
The adviser sighed, her brown eyes showing her pity for the obviously upset girl. "Really it is imposs-"
Kagome felt her face pale and immediately interrupted the counselor, panic-stricken. "B-But... could I not switch with someone else? Could someone not take my place in the pent house and I go into there's?" She stammered hopefully.
The counselor frowned. "Only someone on the same floor as you could switch with you for no other student can afford any of the rooms on your floor besides yourself and the others on your floor. And as far as I know, no student has filed in a complaint or a request to change dorm-rooms. Once again, I am sorry about this matter but we have no other available rooms for you. The only way you can get away from your roommate would be dropping out of Tokyo U."
"W-What about switching facilities? You have more then one campus in Japan! Komaba, possibly?" She beseeched, her voice cracking thus hinting her desperation, her gaze bordering on frantic.
Hayashia-san's frown deepened. Kagome felt her stomach plummet at that frown. Her hope was failing and the sickening falling of her stomach was intensifying with every frown the woman before her displayed on her worn face.
"I am very sorry, yet again, Higurashi-san, but that too is impossible. All the facilities, even Komaba, are full." The counselor said slowly to make sure her words were understood finally.
These words crashed in Kagome's head. Full? Drop out? Gulping, Kagome contemplated dropping out for a moment as insane as that was. She shuddered at the disgrace of such a thought. She was a highly recommended student because of her integrity, intelligence and academic accomplishments. And she would even consider to drop out? What good was that? She would disappointment and embarrass her Mother and humiliate their family name? And for what reason? Because of a personal matter? Her body began to shake. But it wasn't a small matter. This was Taisho Sesshoumaru. Her ex-boyfriend, her first love and the man who broke her heart. He despised her and would do anything in his power to make her miserable. He would probably force her to drop out. Bowing her head, Kagome shook her head. But still she couldn't drop out no matter how hard he tried to get her to. She had come to far and worked too hard.
Forcing a very fake smile on her lips, she stood and bowed to the frowning adviser. "N-No I won't drop out. I guess myself and my roommate can only hope to resolve our problems." The young woman murmured, her eyes down cast.
The counselor smiled and nodded. "Of course! I am relieved to hear you say this Higurashi-san. Besides, I bet that you and your roommate have had only a slight misunderstanding and will become good friends soon."
'Ya right. Just as soon as Godzilla appears in Tokyo.' Kagome sighed in her mind.
"Yes I'm sure we will." Kagome forced herself to say, almost choking on the words that seemed faker than any plastic doll.
Stepping out of the hot room, Kagome rushed outside and inhaled the autumn air. Raising her eyes upwards at the sky that was blocked by the large skyscrapers, Kagome sighed. It seems that she was destined to be forever plagued by Taisho Sesshoumaru. She winced. It was sad that his name made her flinch involuntarily even after two years. Placing her hands in her pockets, she slowly made her way back to her dorm-room where her cold, arrogant ex-boyfriend more then likely waited for her to return, eagerly awaiting her to so he could torture her with his toxic claw and Toukijin.
Where had everything gone wrong between them?
Tears fell slowly down her cheeks as she silently cried while a rush of still fresh wounds resurfaced. Why had he done it? Sesshoumaru had said he liked her more then he had ever any girl... Wasn't that his way of saying he loved her? Or had he been merely biding his time until she would allow them to screw so he could check another accomplishment off his list?
Pausing, the girl pondered this. Sniffling, she wiped away her tears and frowned. No use dwelling on the past. It was more then obvious Sesshoumaru hated her with a dangerous vexation. He was probably going to decapitate or disembowel her when he heard they were stuck together unless one of them left the school. Kagome snorted at that. Sesshoumaru accept defeat and leave the school his family had attended for a hundred years? As if. He would rather lose his left arm then accept dishonor or be defeated by a little human like her. Sighing, Kagome walked into the building. Starting the climb the stairs, she froze when she saw the white and silver hair figure of her tormentor approaching her.
Waiting for him to harshly criticize her, she watched stunned as he passed her, his stoic face unfailing and his eyes remaining directed in front of him.
Did he just ignore her? No snide comments? No put downs? What in the Kami...? Seeing him walking past her swiftly, his buttock length of gorgeous hair swaying with his stride, she froze on the spot, unsure of what was happening. He continued to walk forward and when she noticed he fully intended to not say a word, she spoke up.
"Where are you going?" She asked in confusion.
Sesshoumaru stopped his walk and slightly turned to let one of his golden eyes glare at her. "None of your business," Glaring at her, he added, "human."
He then continued his quick stride to his motorcycle. Kagome watched wide-eyed when the pristine taiyoukai straddled his bike and drove off leaving only a trail of carbonated air for her to choke on.
_______________________________________________________________________________________________________
"O Akara... please... I love you and I only have seven days too live... I ask only one thing from you...love me as you would have if we had the rest of our lives together!"
Kagome watched the sappy soap opera as she ate a tub of ice cream she had grabbed from the corner store [she wouldn't dare touch any of Sesshoumaru's food after the milk incident], sniffling at the pure drama of the show. Blowing her nose in a tissue loudly, she stiffened when the door swung open with a crash. Turning, she saw Sesshoumaru standing in the door way, his golden eyes intent on her. Blushing, she looked down at the floor.
'Damn it. Why? Why does everything that could possibly happen to me actually happen?' She fumed.
Hearing him enter the dorm and take off his shoes, he then walked by her and murmured coolly, "Pathetic."
Kagome glared at him. Why did he always have to comment on everything? Even when they had been dating he had to always put in the last word with that quick, harsh mouth of his. Seeing him pause at his bedroom doorway, his perfect form unyielding and straight as a rod, she heard him demand in a frosty tone, "Why were you crying?"
Kagome stood, her fists clenched at her sides. What did it matter to him if she cried? Did he not relish seeing her upset? She glared at the television. Why had she decided to watch this stupid show? Picking up the remote, she turned off the television. He had always known how to push her buttons. He obviously still preserved that trait! Scowling at the demon, she picked up her tub of ice cream and walked into the kitchen. She shoved it in the freezer, slamming the door loudly. Turning to walk to her room, she saw Sesshoumaru still at his doorway, his amber gaze still fixed coolly on her. She gave him a scowl.
"What." She demanded stiffly.
His eyes narrowed. "You did not answer my question."
Her blue eyes darkening angrily, she said, "Its really none of your business, Sesshoumaru. Weak humans like myself tend to show actual emotion unlike powerful, egotistical demons such as you, my Lord Sesshoumaru. Excuse me for my weakness I'll stop annoying you with my annoying human 'feelings'."
Sesshoumaru turned his body fully to her, his eyes dancing with a heated fire. "What have I told you of your mouth, wench?" He demanded in a deep, dangerous voice.
Kagome felt her hair standing on end and goosebumps travel up and down her skin. Seeing the flashing gold in his amber eyes, she swallowed nervously. He was angry and that was not good. Since when did Sesshoumaru react so fiercely? What was wrong with him? Backing away to her room slowly, she frowned at him.
"I am my own person, Sesshoumaru. I don't have to listen to anyone. Especially bastards who decide they can order me around and call me names."
Sesshoumaru raised a silver brow, the only visible display of his mockery. "Is that so, Ka-go-me?"
Kagome shuddered as he pronounced her name in that deep, baritone voice of his. Her eyes widening, she felt trapped. Why was she feeling like this? Why were those damnable feelings returning?
'Run away before you get hurt again! Do not let him play with you Kagome! You are independent and can not give into his whims!' That little voice shrieked.
Getting ready to run to her room and lock the door, she felt herself hit a steel wall. Her lips trembling, she stared at the muscled chest, unable to move. Licking her lips, she felt him grasp her chin with his deadly, elegant claw and heard him murmur, "Why are you still residing in my dorms, Kagome? I presumed you understood I did not wish for you to remain here. Did I not make myself clear?" he murmured in a cool, sensual tone.
Kagome shivered. This was not right - not right at all! Glancing up into his now hot and cold golden eyes that revealed an emotion she could not place, she responded as best as she could, "Th-They said I couldn't ch-change. There's no more rooms."
Sesshoumaru raised a silver brow at this, his powerful being moving towards her. "Hn. You are sure of this?" He demanded softly.
Kagome nodded and quickly looked away. What was happening? Why was he acting so different? A claw grasped her chin firmly and made her head turn to the direction it wanted. Forced to look into his eyes, she stiffened when she saw it. Lust. Sesshoumaru looked into those wide, gorgeous sapphire orbs. His mind was not acting properly due to the amount of sake he had had before. Her inky black hair hung freely to her small waist, her full pink lips glistened from when she licked them out of nervousness of his presence. Her smooth, creamy skin seemed as soft as silk...
Just as he remembered. He had always been attracted to Kagome. Her own looks were divine and could easily out match any bitch; human and demon alike. Her stubbornness, spunk, kind-nature and intelligence made him want her more and more as he watched her when they were in high school. She was only a year younger then him and he had known her, from a far, since they were children. Years of watching her from the sidelines, as a child he found her annoying. A teenager repulsive. As a woman she had seemed different. Alluring, sensual but still so innocent it was temptation.. And then that's when he had found himself working to get the blushing teen as his own. Using his charisma and dark charms to sway her from his halfbreed brother to him, the taiyoukai had been so arrogantly proud of himself when he finally had the wench agreeing to be his.
Reluctant as he was to admit it, Kagome had made him display a few emotions he had never felt before she. Impatience. Jealousy. And sometimes, an alien, calm feeling he could not place his claw upon. It was something he had a hard time accepting then (and certainly more so now). It was even harder to understand and begrudgingly admit, especially to himself. Yet, she and her ways had been revealed. Her innocent proclamaitions were just an act. The bitch was a cruel, cold gold-digger Kagura had allowed him to see. He had never felt so insanely furious. The wish to bathe in her blood and tear her beautiful, soft skin became a constant desire when he saw her.
A year of his life had been wasted upon this human whore's scum.
The claw tightened harder and harder on her chin, makig her whimper in pain as its pressure threatened to break her jaw. Pulling back, Kagome managed to tear her face from his grip, panting.
"What is your problem?! This s unwanted physical contact! Let go!" She yelped, trying to pry his claw from her chni.
The taiyoukai stared at the girl, his eyes narrowing into small amber slits. Releasing her small chin, he murmured, "Stay away from this Sesshoumaru."
He turned on his heel and swiftly went to his room. Hearing the slam of his door, Kagome winced. Staring at the wooden blockade that separated them, Kagome fingered her jaw, grimacing at the pain that throbbed under her gentle touch. Shaking her head, she walked into her room, lay on the bed and held her pillow closely to her. Closing her eyes, she exhaled, unable to repress the tears that had managed to fill in her eyes. Feeling the hot tears slide down her cold, numb cheeks, she sighed.
Why was he so cruel to her? Could he not just admit he was in the wrong?
Kagome snorted at that thought, blinking hard to make the tears disappear from her eyes. Sesshoumaru admit he was at fault? Hm. That was as possible as Miroku proclaiming he was homosexual. In this world, it was impossible for Taisho Sesshoumaru to ever consent to the fact he was ever wrong or at fault. He was to arrogant and self-conceited to ever see his own imperfections that many people did not see besides her. Maybe that's why he had cheated on her with Kagura.
Because she had seen the side of him he wanted no one to see.
Lying in her bed, staring out the window, the young miko let another tear fall. Even if they could help the past, the present situation was inescapable. He hated her. Kagome closed her eyes, a tear trickling down her face. As puzzling, moronic and completely unethical as it was, she, Higurashi Kagome, did not hate Taisho Sesshoumaru. If anything...
Her heart beat faster. It was quite the opposite.

_______________________________________________________________________________________________________
