Seducing Kouga

Chapter Two- Seducing Kouga

Ayame leapt from one tree branch to another branch then dove towards the ground, rolling to break her fall and moving smoothly into a sprint down the dusty trail. The ground shook beneath her as the rock demon behind her picked up his speed. He was trying his hardest to catch her.Though he was extremely fast for a large rock demon, but not fast enough to catch Ayame.

Ayame looked behind her, panting. 'He's right on my tail, this is ridiculous!' She threw a leaf at the tree closest to her and clapped her hands. The tree limbs came to life. Curling around the rock demon.

Roaring in fury, the rock demon tore through, leaving the tree broken and motionless on the ground. 'Shit, just a whole lot of shit', Ayame cursed.

Ayame turned quickly, throwing some of her razor sharp leaves, which flicked off the rock demons armor. Her attack didn't phase the demon at all, he continued to charge after her. Ayame picked up her pace, speeding down the trail. On her right she saw a flash of white and red. Was that...? Yes! That Sesshomaru character she had seen the other day in the field with the young teen girl and the odd imp.

Ayame blinked, coming to a sudden halt, turning to look as the so called 'Lord Sesshomaru' who lifted his hand, holding up his forefinger and middle finger, and made a sweeping motion. Flowing from his fingers, a green-yellow whip slashed against the rock demons face. Howling in pain the rock demon swung blindly at the attacker. Sesshomaru smoothly dodged, whipping across the beasts chest.

The rock demon, even though wounded, attempted to attack Sesshomaru again. Looking displeased, the Dog-demon slashed twice more, as if he was swatting a fly. Roaring in defeat, the beast fell to his death. The ground shuddered at the impact, then all was quiet.

After returning from her shocked state, Ayame clenched her fists and stomped over to Sesshomaru. "I had EVERYTHING under control!"

He said nothing, staring at her with his cold, expressionless, golden eyes. He acted as if she was a flea on his shoulder! The nerve! Who did this guy think he was? "Did you hear me?? I said I ha-"

"Ayame!!"

She blinked, 'Kouga?'. Turning she saw a quickly approaching tornado.

"Ayame! Are you alright? I heard the pack had sent you out again and I was worr-", Kouga noticed the Dog-demon.

Frowning, Kouga stated simply, "Sesshomaru."

Kouga knew this emotionless Dog-Demon? Kouga glared at Sesshomaru, "This guy giving you problems, Ayame?"

Ayame stared at the the silent Sesshomaru who hadn't stopped looking at her with his apathetic expression, "No...."

"What happened, Ayame?", Kouga asked.

Sesshomaru's eyes slid away from her to Kouga. Looking extremely disgusted all of a sudden, he turned, strolling casually off into the woods as if he hadn't just killed a huge Rock Demon and was out for his morning stroll. 'What an odd person' Ayame thought.

"Ayame?"

She blinked glancing at Kouga, who looked somewhat worried. "I'm fine Kouga. Just happen to cross paths with him."

"Hrmm", Kouga looked at her thoughtfully.

Ayame smiled brightly, "You know Kouga, if we keep running into each other like this. We should consider traveling together."

"Erm... well.. um. You know.. Ayame...", Kouga stuttered.

He coughed, then stated, "I doubt you'd be able to keep up with me."

"I would to! I'm just as fast as you!", Ayame argued.

"No. You CAN'T!"

"Yes I CAN!"

"Woman! NO YOU CAN'T!"

"Yes I can, KOUGA!"

Kouga snorted and looked to be about to leave when Ayame grabbed his arm. "But Kouga! I'm scared to travel alone!!"

She made puppy eyes at him. Kouga chuckled, shaking her off, "Then go home, Ayame."

"Oooo!", Ayame stomped her foot in anger as Kouga ran away. Again.

Kavati nudged at her leg with her nose. Ayame looked down and petted her, "I see you guys finally caught up. Everything alright?"

They howled at her, congratulating her on the kill. Ayame shook her head, "I wish I could take credit. Pesky 'Lord Sesshomaru' getting in my way."

Kilana whined at her. Ayame thought to herself, holding her chin. "You're right. The other wolves won't know any better."

Ayame beamed proudly at Kilana, petting her head lovingly. "Good job, Kilana!!"

Drawing her sword she hacked off the head. It took her at least five swings until the head rolled around on the ground. "I need a better sword...", she sighed.

Picking up the detached head, her and the wolves made their way back to camp. 'Oh Kouga..' she thought, sighing.

'I will have you', she clenched her fist in determination. 'You will be mine. I WILL be your bride. There has to be a way I can get you...'

Ayame walked by the camp fire, waving at some of the pack members. They gave her thumbs up and cheers for her good deed. 'He loves Kagome, maybe she'll know what I could do to get him. I'll visit her tomorrow!'

The pack leader praised her as she handed over the head, but Ayame's mind was in a whole other place. 'You will be mine, Kouga. All. Mine.'

Tonights dinner was left over rabbit stew. The worthless hunters of the pack had failed to catch anything. They called themselves Wolf Demons? Ayame shook her head at the rabbit stew. Her wolves could do better then that. Kilana by herself could bring down a family of deer.

(Bambi's mother doesn't get shot, she gets eaten by wolf demons. And so does bambi :P ).

Sighing at the bowl, she raised the bowl to her mouth. "What are YOU doin' here MUTT?"

Ayame put down the bowl and looked towards the voice. There was Sesshomaru and two members of the pack. She frowned. This was not going to end well.

"Move", he said coolly.

The Wolf Demons looked at each other and burst out into laughter, "Make us, Mutt!"

'Oh crap' Ayame though to herself, making her way over there.

Sesshomaru's eyes narrowed as he raised his hand. The two fingers glowing. Thinking quickly, Ayame threw five of her leaf ninja stars. Just in time to deflect Sesshomaru's whip, saving the two empty headed pack members.

They blink dumbly and backed away, "Ehhh, Ayame! Take care of this problem!"

They ran past Ayame, leaving only her in Sesshomaru's way. Her stared her down. His golden eyes made her feel so... uneasy. "Move."

Ayame stepped to the side and raised her arms in a flowing motion towards the direction, "Go ahead."

He stared at her for a moment then moved forward. His motions were so smooth, he walked as if he was floating.

Ayame stared after him with her head cocked to the side. "Ayame!! Ayaaaaaaame!!! He's getting away! Get him!! Geeeet him!!!"

Ayame glanced up at the annoying pack members. She sighed. "Find me a better meal and maybe I will... I'm leaving. I'll be back in a few days"

"But.. Ayame. We need you!"

"Grow some balls."

Ayame shook her head again, walking off with her wolves following behind her.

Ayame made camp west from the wolf pack's camp. She didn't like the thought of sleeping out in the wood by herself, but it wasn't something she hadn't done.

*********************************

Kagome's and Inuyasha's home was a little way from the nearest village. Apparently Kagome had been raised in that village? But Ayame really wasn't sure. The little house was cute and homely. A little too small for Ayame though. If she was to live anywhere it would have to be outside or in a giant palace. She laughed at herself, she guessed she was stuck sleeping outside. Glancing around, she looked for Kagome "Hmmm..."

"SIT BOY!!", a loud crash came from behind the house.

"There they are!", Ayame grinned and she walked around the house.

Inuyasha lay twitching in the crater that his body had imprinted. Kagome stood fuming over him. "If you don't like my cooking, THEN DON'T EAT IT! STARVE for all I care! Ungrateful asshole!!!"

Ayame cleared her throat. "Perhaps this is a bad time. Should I come back?"

Kagome jumped, facing Ayame. Inuyasha groaned in pain, twitching again. He began to attempt to crawl away, escaping Kagome's wrath. "Ayame! This is a surprise!"

The Wolf Demon smiled awkwardly, her wolves stared at the escaping Inuyasha with interest. "Hello Kagome! Um, I need help?"

"With a demon?", Kagome asked.

Ayame scratched the back of her neck, "Um no... I need... advice?"

Kagome nodded in understanding, "Alright! Come inside!"

Ayame and her wolves followed. Kagome stopped, looking at Kilana, Kuito and Kavati. "Um.. they'll have to stay outside."

The wolves whined at Ayame, who shook her head. "Go find something to eat, I'm not sure how long I'll be here."

Her wolves went back to watching Inuyasha, the only entertainment available. Kuito even began to paw at the dog-demon, making Inuyasha twitch even more.

She followed Kagome inside, who waved her to sit down. "Would you like some tea, Ayame?"

"No, thank you."

Kagome smiled and sat down across from her. "So!! What's up!?!"

Ayame glanced up frowning. She shrugged, "Well you see Kagome. I'm attempting to convince Kouga to take me as his bride. And I figured, since he's in love with you. Maybe you have a secret way I could get his attention?"

Kagome laughed, "You're still trying to catch him, huh?"

Ayame sighed, nodding. "Hmmm...", Kagome thought deeply.

"Oooh! I know! You could... no... hmm... wait! I have JUST the thing! You wait here Ayame!", she rushed off into another room.

Ayame stared after her. Kagome was always such an odd person. Kagome came around the corner with a couple of items in her hands. She laid them on the table. Ayame stared at them curiously. "This is called perfume" she handed the clear bottle to her.

"See, you push here and it sprays an intoxicating smell on you that attracts males", Kagome explained.

Ayame's eyes widened as she stared at the delicate bottle, "A love potion?"

Kagome giggled, "No, it not anything like that, it just smells nice! Inuyasha goes crazy when I wear it! One squirt of that and there is no promise if we'll make it to the bedroom..."

She blushed, and cleared her throat, handing Ayame another item. "Um, and this is called body wash. It's like soap, you squirt a small amount on..."

She handed Ayame a strange sponge item, "... this luffa and rub it all over your body, be sure to wash it all off though! It has the same scent as the perfume."

Ayame examined each object with interest, plucking experimentally at the 'loo-fa'. 'I wonder where she gets these weird things... she must travel a lot...'

"Thank you, Kagome. I hope this works!"

Ayame gathered the items to her chest. If Kagome's odd items didn't work on getting Kouga, she didn't know what would.

A ear splitting crash came from outside and a howl from her wolves, alerting her of trouble. "Why do you always have to sneak up on me like that!!" came Inuyasha's voice from outside.

Ayame ran outside. Her wolves hid behind her, whimpering. The wolf demon crossed her arms as she watched Inuyasha pick up the scattered wood that he had dropped, he grumbled angrily.

"Perhaps if you paid attention to your surroundings you wouldn't have this issue", said a chill voice.

Ayame huffed, becoming extremely annoyed when she realized who Inuyasha was talking to.

"Oh, it's Sesshomaru. Inuyasha's brother, they've never gotten along very well", Kagome said behind her.

Inuyasha's brother was this heartless Dog Demon? Ayame frowned, walking over to the pair. "Are you stalking me?! Because you seem to be there every time I turn around!", Ayame yelled at him.

Kagome cleared her throat at her. "Um.. Ayame..."

Sesshomaru stared blankly at her. "I wouldn't follow one as petty as you."

Ayame gritted her teeth together. This guy was really getting on her nerves with his arrogant ways. She shook her head turning to Kagome. "Thanks for your help Kagome, I need to leave now. Bye!"

Before Kagome could return with a departing word. Ayame disappeared in her whirlwind. She had better things to do. Like find Kouga.

Realizing she had left her wolves behind, she kicked a stone in frustration. At least she hadn't gone too far. She let out a piercing whistle, alerting them of where she was. They would catch up.

Ayame examined the container for the perfume. Cautiously, she pushed down on the top. A mist flew in her face, including in her mouth. "Oh! Ughh!" she sputtered.

She glared at the glass bottle. Was that how it was meant to work? Kagome didn't really explain in detail. Frowning she directed the the mist towards her chest. Scrunching her face, mouth closed, she pushed the top again. The mist surrounded her body and disappeared. It smelled like flowers and sweet tart. Nodding triumphantly, she put the perfume in the pouch on her hip.

Now to find her Kouga. She took in a deep breath. Attempting to track Kouga over the smell of the perfume. Which was impossible. The stuff was INSIDE her nose.

Ayame growled in frustration. She'd have to wait till her wolves caught up. How irritating. Sitting at the foot of a tree, she tapped her fingers on her knee. She was curious if this potion would work on Kouga.

Finally her wolves caught up, Kilana in the lead, as always. Ayame knew from when Kilana was a pup that she would be the alpha of all her wolves.

Ayame stood to greet them, brushing off the back of her short, fur skirt. "Kilana, Kuito, Kavati, I need you to find Kouga."

By now, her wolves knew Kouga's scent well. She had tracked him down so many times. The white wolves began to sniff around her, then moved further away. The perfume was probably throwing them off too.

Kuito howled to Ayame, declaring that he had found Kouga. Ayame nodded as they all followed him.

Ayame could see the tornado of Kouga and whistled to her wolves to depart. A little alone time with Kouga wouldn't hurt. She grinned to herself.

Ayame was standing casually in the middle of the forest, minding her own business... when Kouga came around the corner and ran right into her. They both fell over in a tangled mess. Kouga ending up on top. Kouga blinked down at her, "Ayame..." he took in a deep breath.

Tilting his head to the side, making no move to remove himself from on top of her, he leaned closer to her. His nose brushed against her neck as he took in a deep breath. "Wow... Ayame... you smell amazing..."

He exhaled slowly, his breath tickling her neck. Kouga leaned back, staring blankly at Ayame. She grinned up at Kouga, "I'm glad you think so."

'HURRAY! It had worked!', she thought with excitement. Kouga blinked a few times, as if he was coming out of a trance. He cleared his throat, promptly standing. "Um, right. Sorry about that..."

He rubbed the back of his neck, looking away from her with a red tint coming to his cheeks. She smiled up at him coyly, "I don't mind at all"

She stood smoothly, moving close to Kouga. She ran her fingers lightly over his strong jaw line. "Why would I mind being so close to such a sexy Wolf-Demon?", she whispered in his ear.

Kouga shuddered, drawing in another deep breath. "Ayame....", he slowly slid his arm around her waist, his fingers tracing a trail.

"Kouga..." she whispered back, she barely heard herself. She was so scared... she had finally caught Kouga... she couldn't even move to put her arms around his neck.

She slowly ran the tip of her tongue along her bottom lip. And those amazing blue eyes watched her do it. Kouga growled lightly in the back of his throat. His hand cupped her cheek and he lowered his lips to hers.

Angels sang and demons cried. Kouga's lips were so close she could almost feel them. She heard someone panting. It was most definitely NOT Ayame.. and it wasn't Kouga either. And there went Kouga's amazing lips as his head looked down at his wolf. Kouga nodded to the wolf.

His oh-so-warm hand left her cheek and his arm was unwrapped from around her waist. "I have to go Ayame...", he said as he stepped back his blue-blue eyes slightly hazy.

"See ya later", he waved to her, leaving her alone.

Falling to her knees, Ayame couldn't take her eyes off the disappearing tornado. She was... so close....

She raised her fists and slammed them into the ground. So. Close.
