Mitori drank her coffee very slowly, while she sat outside her favorite coffee place. It had been a week sens the capture of the half demon Inuyasha she hadn't returned to his cage once. She sighed loudly she really wasn't cut out for this kind of job. It really wasn't a choice she told herself everyday, it was a family right and she had to do it.
Suddenly the coffee tasting very bad in her mouth just thinking about her job she pushed the brown cup away from her. Standing she laid some money on the table she left the small shop and started to walk down the busy streets of Tokyo. A tall building came into view she stared at it, that's were her next case resided, Sessomaru.
She wondered when she finally captured him how were they going to make a big business tycoon like him just disappear. She was sure though that her grandfather already had the plan. Taking a deep breath she walked passed the building. In all good time her grandfather would have what he always wanted, Sessomaru's head. She had no idea why her grandfather obsessed over the capture of Sessomaru, she didn't dare ask.
Punching in her code the door sung open and Mitori entered the dungeon a sick feeling had already entered her stomach. The dungeon always smelled like a hospital to her death, sickness, and pain.
“Mitori!” a male voice called out.
Mitori turned to find her brother Tori coming out of one of the rooms down the hall fallowed by Yuri his assistant. Mitori waited for her brother to catch up.
“About time you come to actually do your job, Hiro seems very angry that you have been waiting so long.” Tori grinned at his sister even though he felt a little bad for her. He was sure his sister wasn't cut out for this. She had always been to softhearted and to loving and trusting.
Mitori frowned at the blood on her brothers sleeve. Good thing the cages were sound proof are she was sure she would be hearing the howling and cry's.
“Yes, well tell him I'm going to do my job and he no longer has to worry.” with that she turned and made her way to the end of the hall scanning her palm over the censer she opened the door.
The half demon was in a room alone his cage being the only open one. She stared at him he stared back, he growled she remained silent.
Opening the cage she entered he lunged at her but of course was stopped by the chain. Mitori glanced around the cage stains decorated the walls probably from the food she was sure he refused to eat.
“What is this bitch?” he finally spoke.
Mitori ignored him calling her a bitch but answered his question anyway.
“You are in DE Headquarters in Tokyo, I am Mitori Toki not bitch.” Mitori said. She opened the folder in her hands and brought out a pen.
“Why in the hell I'm I here and were is Kagome?” he paused “Bitch” he said after seeming to think for a while.
Once again Mitori ignored him calling her a bitch, “DE stands for demon elimination headquarters. You are here because you are a demon.” she paused not sure if what she was about to say would be alright if her grandfather was watching. “Kagome is fine.” she said a little lower.
“I thought no demons existed in Kagome's time?”
“That is partly true we have captured eliminated many, and some are just able to hide their presence better.” Mitori made sure she stayed as much business as possible.
“That still doesn't answer why I am here bitch!” Inuyasha growled louder.
Mitori closed her eyes briefly it was time to get this over with enough staling as soon as she got this over with she could leave and not return for another week.
“Restrict” she said softly. The chain attached to his collar began to pull itself up into the concrete wall dragging Inuyasha with it. Then metal cuffs came from the wall strapping Inuyasha's wrists down and his ankles soon Inuyasha was pinned to the wall hissing and growling as his restraints glowed pink burning his writs and ankles.
Mitori stepped closer bring out a knife.
“What the hell bitch! what are you doing?”Inuyasha shouted.
Mitori began to cut his shirt into Inuyasha was bare chested, she took a step back. She ignored Inuyasha as he cursed at her and fought against his restraints. She turned her back to him and left his cage and the room only to return later with the branding tools.
Mitori stilled her face of any emotion as she pressed the hot tool against Inuyasha's bare chest right above his heart and he howled loudly. She kept the tool on for a full three minutes which was standard. She ignored his howls as she took the tool away leaving behind a red mark that read DEP.
Demon Eliminators property, the branding process meant noting but to belittle the demons they captured. The smell of burning flesh nauseated Mitori so much that she paused before picking up the second tool. Which was an mistake as soon as she looked up again meeting a pair of pain filled golden eyes.
Right below the first mark Mitori hovered with the second tool her hands were shaking terribly and she took a deep breath.
“Sorry,” she mumbled. She pressed the tool that would give him his number against his flesh and he howled again. She had just broken a huge rule she knew. She had just broken rule number one, never show compassion for a demon of any kind.
