A/N: This story won't have the same 'ideas' on vampires, that S.M wrote for Twilight. Landon is my own character.

The argument would have continued if it had not been for the knock at the door, everyone looked at one another.
“Are we expecting a guest?” Emmett asked.
Alice shrugged her shoulders, “I didn't see anyone, or anything coming”
Carlisle rose, “Well I'll go get it.. Since it would be rude to allow a guest to wait”
Everyone listened in as Carlisle approached the door and heard his gasp,
“Landon?!”

And Now

Emmett leaned more into the direction that the door was at, to hear better.
Turning his head back to look towards his family, He saw that Edward had brought Bella into this room with everyone else- more security? Maybe.
He heard Carlisle began to speak again to their guest, “Ah, right come in please- this way”
The other person hadn't really talked yet, but from the name it was obviously a male.
Looking around the room at his family he could tell they were just as anxious to see who this man was that Carlisle knew.
Though Edward seemed extra anxious, it wasn't much longer that they had to wait.
As Carlisle came into the room with two people tagging along with him, the first was- as Emmett thought a male, he looked to be about the same age as Carlisle, His hair was a shaggy dark brown, his eyes were golden like the Cullens were, hm so he is a vampire like us,Emmet thought before continuing his inspection.
The male was wearing casual clothing, He was average hight, and had pale skin just like the rest of them. Interesting an old vampire buddy? He didn't know of any family besides the one Rosalie was with that had the same diet as they did.
Mentally clearing his thoughts his attention was directed to the woman behind the man that had Entered. She had waist length black hair, and blue eyes? Emmett sniffed the air slightly, weird she smells like a vampire, sort of.
He'd have to ask about that soon, She was also a little taller then Alice was, with almost the same body build. He was brought from his musings at Carlisle's voice.
“Right, so this is my family over there is my wife Esme, and these are my children: Alice, Jasper, Emmet, Edward and his girlfriend Bella”
The man nodded his head in greeting towards them as he looked around before he turned his attention to Carlisle once more, “I thought you had another one”
Carlisle sighed before answering, “Yeah we did, though she left- she is staying with another family in Alaska.”
The girl beside the man elbowed him in the ribs, making the man look back at her before she motioned back towards his family. The man made an “oh” sound and then turned to look back at them,
“My apologies I'm Landon, and this is my daughter Kagome”
His daughter, Kagome, spoke with a quiet Hello before returning to looking around the house.
Carlisle turned his attention back towards his old friend, “Not to sound rude, but may I ask why your here?I haven't seen you in over forty years.”
Landon nodded, “yeah, well I moved near here just now with my daughter. Her mother said it would be best if she lived away from home for now”
Carlisle hummed as he looked Kagome over, “She looks a lot like you for a blood transfusion, and you said her mother?Are you friends or..”
Landon shook his hand in a dismissive motion, “No, No- Kagome is my biological daughter. Her mother is well just that her biological mother.”
This time Alice spoke up, “I thought Vampires couldn't have children- how could she be your daughter then?”
Landon chuckled, “well you see when a male vampire and a female human love each other very-ouch!” He yelped as his daughter elbowed him in the ribs once more, she quietly scolded him. “ Dad, I don't think they needed a health lesson from you”
Landon pouted, “Fine- Vampires can not have children with other vampires though they can have children it is very rare.”
Taking a deep breath he continued, “The fact that a human and a vampire can have a child together is more then unlikely but it all depends on the mother's body and if she could handle it.
But when the fetus is growing is grows just as a normal humans would, and if you have the correct connections- you could get a, uh whats the right word, a ward? Sort of thing to block of the extra senses when the child is born- to help them from going crazy. Also, the child ages normally- there has only been a few cases I know of besides of Kagome.”
Carlisle looked Kagome over closely, Causing the girl to blush and look away.
“Does she need to drink blood too?” He asked.
Landon nodded, “Yeah, once every two months. Though I think we need to make it once every month.”
Carlisle hummed, “So, is she fine around humans?”
Landon laughed, “Of course she is! We just took a plane ride here and she didn't snap at anyone but me.”
Kagome glared at her father before, rolling her eyes. “Well you kept pointing out every little thing”
Landon pouted in response before he could actually say anything though,
Alice spoke, “How come I couldn't see you? Is that part of her power?” She asked.
Landon shook his head, “Nah, that was me. The last time I meet Carlisle he told me of your power's-and the details about them. So I technically just used some of my power”
This time Jasper questioned them, “So- what exactly are your powers?”
Landon smirked, “I can make people think other then what they want to- remove memories, replace them with new ones. Or I can force my thoughts into others minds.
But what I did with coming here is I just thought of other random things that were more pronounced, than my thought of coming here. That though was always brief but replaced with another thought.”
“What about your daughter, wouldn't her thoughts of triggered something?” Edward asked.
Landon chuckled again, “Yeah about that-I never told her where we were going. She just knew the United States.”
“Ah, well that explains things better- are you going to be staying longer?”Carlisle asked.
Landon shook his head, “Nah, I just wanted to come visit- make sure you know I'm here and wont be hurting anyone, But we have to go home and get settled in.”
Carlisle nodded, “well either way, it was nice seeing you again and please do come by anytime you'd like”
“Righty O, Goodnight!”replied Landon.
With that Father and daughter both left the home and started their way towards their home.

Emmett looked around at his family, “Well that was strange.”
Carlisle laughed, “ Yes- but that's Landon for you, he likes to randomly do things”
Esme looked over at her husband, “Where do you know him from?” She asked.
Carlisle hummed before answering, “Ah, yeah I was friends with him while I was human he got turned not to long after I did and we both had the agreement not to drink from humans. But Landon as always was stubborn and didn't want to stay in one place so he traveled as soon as he could.”
He looked towards Edward before continuing to speak, “You meet him once before Edward, I don't know if you remember or not”
Edward looked thoughtful for a moment before nodding, “Yeah, I sort of remember it.” Shaking his head he continued, “Its getting late and I need to take Bella home- I'll be back later”
The rest of the family bid him and Bella goodnight and soon he was off to.
Emmett stood and stretched, “Well that was exciting- but I'm bored again, come on Jasper lets go play!”
Jasper rolled his eyes at Emmett's behavior but smirked-glad that his brother was acting more like his usual self. Looking down at Alice he extended his hand for her to take, “Do you want to come” Alice laughed, “sure why not- we have time before school, plenty of it”
That being said the three went outside to play one of their many games.
Esme shook her head with a gentle smile, “They never really grow up do they.”
Carlisle sighed while taking a seat next to his wife, “I don't think so”

With Kagome

Kagome looked over at her father from her spot in their rental car, “So..that was random”
Landon smirked as he looked at her, “Yeah I know it was, but I haven't seen him in quite sometime so I thought meh why not!”
Kagome laughed quietly before looking out the window, “So we are going to live in this town?”
Landon nodded, “Yup, home sweet home- oh by the way, your starting school tomorrow.”
Kagome glared at her father, “Why didn't you tell me that before?”
Landon shrugged as he drove, “Uhm, it slipped my mind?” he answered with a chuckle.
Sighing Kagome looked out the window at the passing scenery, wondering what their house would look like.
Fifteen minutes later, the car pulled into a well worn drive way, it was on the opposite side of town from where they had just come from. Getting out of the car Kagome looked around, the house was pretty modern .
“Come on Kagome! Lets go” Landon shouted, as he jumped and pointed towards the house.
With a chuckle and shake of her head Kagome followed her over-eager father into their new home. After getting everything settled, Kagome let herself down onto her bed, looking at the ceiling her thoughts drifted to thinking of everything that had happened today, or was going to happen tomorrow.
The family she had meet today was interesting – she'd love to find out more about them. Clearing her thoughts she soon felt herself being lulled into a light sleep by the sounds of the night.
