Healing A Broken Heart

The compact mirror slipped from Rin’s shaking fingers, on impact with the ground it exploded in twinkling shards. "What did you do to me" Whirling her violet eyes were far more vibrant. A shading of royal blue above them, identical streaks of purple marked both cheeks. Suspended in her forehead a lovely turquoise crescent moon. Her ears were tipped, peeking through ebony. Her hair had lengthened until it fell past her knees. Before the change she had a natural curvy figure. Now her body was twice as voluptuous. Her kimono had torn, half of shapely thigh exposed. The top straining now against her ample chest.

Kagome was saying a silent prayer that Miroko wasn’t around. If the hentai monk dared to try and grope Rin’s new form he’d probably get snapped in two. She wasn’t sure which Youkai would get the pleasure first, Rin or the now gawking Sesshomaru.

"Rin please don’t be upset. Sesshomaru brought you here asking for my help." She shook her head. "I couldn't heal you with my miko powers, your body rejected the attempt. The Shikon Tama felt your anguish. I placed it on you chest and asked it to grant your hearts desire in a form you could heal"

When Rin heard Kagome’s statement her eyes bled crimson. One hand lifted as a blue scythe formed. "How dare you" Her voice throbbed with intense power.

Kagome’s eyes widened, she stepped back. "Rin! Sesshomaru didn’t wish you to die!"

The glowing weapon was swung forward, before it made contact with the Miko’s form it disappeared. "Sesshomaru didn’t want me to die?" Rin’s voice broke. Torn by her conflicting emotions, she glanced towards Sesshomaru but to her shock he was already gone.

"Satara’s more important then I am" Her hands curled into tight fists. Body shaking as she felt a blind fury course through out her. "I swear from this day out no matter what happens to me I will never love another man for as along as I breath!"

Unknown to Rin the jewel had granted her hearts desire. Sesshomaru loved her; he knew it when Rin was only sixteen years old. His love continued to grow as did his lovely ward. The Ice Prince knew he could never give Rin his heart. He would never fathom the thought or idea of having a hanyou child. He knew what his brother had gone through. In his attempt to push Rin away he hunted across the different territory’s searching for another of his own species. When he found Satara he knew she would serve his purpose of giving him a full blooded Youkai heir.

As Rin’s anger finally flowed its course the words she had uttered had left a curse on her heart. "That stupid wish did nothing for me" She could never love another while she walked the earthen plane. If she ever did fall in love she would die.

Kagome gazed sadly at Rin; something had to have gone both right and wrong for the wish to change her into a dog demon. The question she had no answer to was what and why?

Stepping forward bravely she placed one hand tenderly on Rin’s shoulder. "Rin…I know this is difficult for you to understand but why don’t you come back to my time with me? It’ll get you away from here and maybe it’ll help you take your mind off of.." She paused not sure if she wished to mention Sesshomaru’s name. "Him"

Inuyasha had been standing close by, his ears perked when he heard Kagome. "WHAT!" Storming forward he glared at Kagome. "Why are you inviting her to your time. She won’t fit in Kagome, hell she’ll stick out like a sore thumb. Besides" He hmphed, arms folding over his chest. "You told me you’d only be gone for a couple of days"

Kagome turned slowly staring at Inuyasha. "How can you be such an insensitive JERK Inuyasha! Rin’s going through a hard time and I think it would do her a world of good to GET away from this time where her problems are revolving around! Besides" It was her turn to fold her arms, glaring at the hanyou. "Im sure Miroko and Sango would be completely understanding about the whole entire thing!"

Rin remained silent as the two yelled at each other. They acted worse then any mated couple, always fighting and bickering. "Kagome" She moved forward, she had almost sliced the woman in half and here she was offering her a form of escape. "I would be honored if you took me back to your time. I thank you already for not hating me for my attempted attack"

Kagome was about to yell at Inuyasha again when she stopped and offered Rin a beaming smile. "Don’t worry about it Rin, believe me there’s some days I wish I could make a weapon appear and use it on certain people" Her words were stated as a furious glare was shot towards Inuyasha.

Inuyasha sat down, muttering under his breath. Something about woman ganging up on him and it not being very fair.

Kagome frowned; she didn’t understand why Inuyasha was being so rude. "Inuyasha…" She glanced to Rin then back towards him. "SIT BOY!"

THUD it was the sound Inuyasha made as he was slammed face first into the dirt once more. He groaned, not bothering to lift his head from where it was half planted in the rocky earth.

Rin just laughed, her laughter was bell like. "That’s amazing! Where can I get some of those beads? I know a certain Dog demon I wouldn’t mind sitting into the ground.." Her eyes narrowed. "Until his pretty face was smashed to a bloody pulp!"

Kagome gave a soft laugh. "Rin that’s not really nice. Besides Kadea only gave me the beads for Inuyasha when he was being a savage. Now they’re just an added bonus, whenever he makes me mad I can sit him"

THUD went Inuyasha once again.

Kagome winced glancing over. "Sorry Inuyasha I didn’t mean that one" Shaking her head glad though for the momentary free time from the overbearing Hanyou. Sure she loved him to death but sometimes he could be a real pain in the ass. "C’mon Rin. All we have to do is jump in the well and we’ll be taken to my time."

She grabbed Rin’s hand tugging her to the Edge of the well, glancing down as the mysterious pink light started to glow signaling the wells powers. "The first time can be a real shock but after that it gets easy"

Rin looked down into the well, she couldn’t see the empty bottom all she saw was the swirling pink magic. It called to her like a sirens soothing song. "Are you sure this is" She never got to finish; Kagome had jumped tugging her down the hole. "SAAAAAAAAAAAAAFE"

Unknown to the three that were at the wells edge a set of eyes had been watching. Satara slowly moved from the wooded tree line. She had secretly followed Sesshomaru after he had left the castle with Rin in his arms. Seeing Kagome possessed the most coveted magical item had almost made her rush out and attack, she had restrained herself being naturally curious to see what the Miko was doing.

Jealously tore through her heart like acid when the wish had been granted and Rin had lived! Not only had the lucky little tramp lived she had become a beautiful Inu Youkai. "So. This is how the Miko travels from world to world"

Circling the well she jumped onto the edge, looking down. All she saw was the black empty bottom. No magic came forward to greet her. She frowned glancing back to see Inuyasha rising with a bewildered expression on his face. Satara frowned, snapping her fingers whispering an incantation. A pale mist was expelled from her fingertips, surrounding the hanyou sending him into a dreamless state. "Sweet dreams mutt"

Satara was furious; she knew well in advance when Sesshomaru had approached her he never had loved her. He only wanted a mate to bear him his pure blooded Heir, Satara was perfectly fine with that. When Sesshomaru passed the kingdom on his Son would hold rule over the most wanted territory. Now she knew with Rin being changed Sesshomaru would once again be swayed towards the woman. She would not allow it! Sesshomaru BELONGED to her and her ALONE.

"Well my precious little Rin" She laughed, the sound dark and cruel. "We shall see who wins this battle. You may have escaped to another time but when you try to return to this time you know and love so well you shall see that it is impossible!"

The skies seemed to grow darker as Satara lifted her hands, calling upon her dark lord and master to grant her the powers she craved. A bolt of lighting cracked, striking Satara. Her head snapped back as she realized an eerie howl, the power was her’s. Hands outstretched she pointed at the well. "When you try to come back, may you find you can never return. Your love’s heart will grow cold to you, never will he see your face again!"

Her insane laughter echoed through out the forest. Walking away from the now drained well, stepping over Inuyasha’s prone figure she paused before snapping her fingers together. "Allow him to wake." Then the Youkai was gone.

Inuyasha stirred, had he dreamed the entire thing? He had seen a female Inu Youkai that had mist coming from her fingertips. Shaking his head to clear it, he leaped to the well jumping into it. He hit the bottom with a hard thump. Nothing happened, before he had no problem traveling to Kagome’s world. Had she been so mad when she left she had sealed it from her end? Frowning he slowly climbed out, heading towards the village to tell Miroko and Sango about Kagome’s leaving and Rin’s new form. Pausing he glanced back to the well, he had a strange feeling of dread deep down in the pit of his heart. He just didn’t know what it was yet.

Rin’s heightened senses were assaulted by strange smells, and sounds. She landed on her feet next to Kagome. Lifting her head she expected to see the sky but what she saw was a roof. "Kagome where are we" She leaped up, landing in the temple. Walls now surrounded her. Gone were the rolling fields and ample forests, just walls of wood and steel structures.

Kagome knew she had to be quick; she didn’t need Rin to have a panic and flee into the city that could be a nightmare! A newly transformed Inu Youkai rushing through a city where the people believed demons to only be from the legends. Pulling herself up and over the well she smiled. "Rin were in my time now. I know this may sound strange but im going to put a spell on you. It’ll hide your um..Well demon features."

Rin turned, arms folding over her chest. Eyes growing as cold as chips of ice. "Why" In her stance, and the way she spoke Kagome could’ve sworn she was seeing a female version of Sesshomaru.

Kagome sighed, taking Rin by the arm and leading her towards the house. She’d have to explain on the way; hopefully Rin wouldn’t prove as stubborn as Sesshomaru was. In the end Kagome had convinced Rin to let her hide the demon features. She looked once more like her normal human self accept for the icy cold glimmer in her eyes.

Rin enjoyed looking around Kagome’s room, she was even more surprised with the modern wonders of the shower and bathroom. Kagome had left Rin to soak in the tub full of her favorite lavender and liliac bubble bath. She had to go back to the well, she had left with out saying goodbye to Inuyasha she also held the wedding gift for her two closest friends. Closing her eyes Kagome jumped down into the well, waiting for the rush of energy to take her back to the feudal era. It never came; she hit the bottom of the well with a jarring thump that left her breathless.

"What’s going on!" Looking up she knew she hadn’t gone back and something was horribly wrong with the wells powers. She was stuck in her own time with Rin. "Oh god no. What am I going to tell Rin!"

Will the well’s powers ever return? Is Rin really stuck in Kagome’s time. Damn I am a horrible person leaving so many questions unanswered….oh well perhaps more will reveal it’s self in the next chapter. Be warned Lemon/Lime content will follow. Hope you enjoyed reading
