I'm Here For You
Chapter 2--- “I'll Be The Friend You Can Turn To”
Ginta sighed and curled up under his fur blanket. It had already been two days since his talk with Inuyasha, and he was still regretting doing it in the first place. It only took half an hour after his encounter with the half-demon for him to realize how weird and awkward the situation must have been for Inuyasha.
Inuyasha was the kind of person who kept to himself, and being asked to share his feelings with somebody that he's not close to at all must have seemed silly to him. Although the two men didn't talk much to begin with, the thought of seeming like some strange guy to Inuyasha bugged Ginta to no end. He loved to help others, and frequently cared too much about what others thought of him; it was a blessing just as much as it was a curse. He wanted to help Inuyasha. He wanted the hanyou to trust him. He wanted him to know that he had no ulterior motive for talking to him.
At least that's what he thought at the time....
As much as he wanted to brush off and forget the dreams that he had been having since the encounter, he couldn't get them out of his mind. The first dream came as a surprise, but was tame for the most part.
“I guess I really can share my feelings with you, huh,” Inuyasha said to the ookami. He wasn't smiling, but it was obvious that he was happy; like a giant weight had been lifted from his shoulders.
“Yeah,” Ginta whispered, staring out to the frozen lake. He smiled inwardly, ecstatic to have the hanyou's trust. A cold chill ran through his body, making him shiver and cross his arms.
“Cold?” the half-demon asked.
Ginta replied with a nod, still staring into the icy horizon. He shut his eyes, wishing to block out the intense winds. His limbs were just starting to feel numb when suddenly he felt warmth engulf him. A soft, rhythmic noise caught his attention; a heartbeat. A faint scent filled his nose; weak, yet familiar. His eyes blinked open and his shocked gasp was visible in the cold air. “Inuyasha?” he said softly.
“Is this better?” the hanyou smiled as he tightened his warm embrace on the wolf.
Ginta happily sighed, and nuzzled Inuyasha's shoulder...
The ookami giggled slightly, remembering the shocked expression on Hakkaku's face when Ginta had yelled at him for waking him up. He quickly blamed his anger on being tired, not wanting to explain the embarrassing dream to his friend. The dream remained in his memory, even though he tried formulating a decent reason for the intimate illusion. He figured that the cold weather was the cause of the dream. He was freezing that night, and he remembered thinking that Inuyasha's outfit seemed warm. His subconscious must have stuck the two together which led to the embrace in the dream. Ginta spent all day trying to convince himself into believing that explanation; however, his dream the next night was much harder to explain.
”Inuyasha! Where are you?” Ginta shouted fearfully as he ran into his den. He wasn't sure why he was so afraid of not being able to find the hanyou; however, he wanted to track him down as soon as possible. After what seemed like hours of searching, he found Inuyasha sitting against a wall of the cave. Tears were in his eyes, but the half-demon was smiling.
The wolf-demon wasn't sure how, but he suddenly found himself on the ground with the inu laying on top of him. “Thanks for being here for me, wolf,” Inuyasha whispered before firmly pressing his lips against Ginta's. The short-haired male's eyes popped wide open when he felt the soft lips touch his own. He immediately grew hard while the man's tongue probed between his lips and entered his warm mouth. Once the initial shock was gone, Ginta hesitantly shut his eyes and wrapped his arms around the hanyou's chest. Inuyasha grinned against the other's lips and slowly ground his groin against the wolf's.
Ginta moaned into the inu's mouth and pulled the man closer to him, now able to feel Inuyasha's stiff member through their clothes. As the kiss deepened even further, he pressed his hips upward, meeting every one of the hanyou's thrusts. Tears filled Ginta's eyes; something about the situation felt perfect. He felt complete, like he was meant to be with Inuyasha. The closeness of their bodies assured him that Inuyasha would always be there for him. Ginta moaned louder as the half-demon's movements sped up; their erections grinding together through two layers of fabric. Ginta breathlessly broke the kiss and yelled out as his body twitched with his climax.
Ginta felt fortunate that nobody was around when he woke up. It certainly would have been embarrassing if anybody would have found him in the middle of a wet dream. As pleasant as it was, the dream had been causing the wolf much stress throughout the morning. He tried coming up with excuse after excuse as to why the dream had gone the way it did. He didn't want to face the inevitable truth; that he had developed feelings for Inuyasha. Sure, he had always found the hanyou attractive, but never to the point that his dreams would be invaded by intimate feelings for the man. He hated feeling this way. All he wanted was to make sure that Kouga and Kagome weren't hurting Inuyasha. He was afraid that his affection for the half-demon would get in the way of him helping Inuyasha. The hanyou was interested in somebody else; if he ever found out that Ginta was attracted to him, it would completely ruin their budding friendship.
“Ginta,” Hakkaku said as he entered the room. “Glad to see you're awake. We gotta go, Kouga wants to see Kagome today,” he said and rolled his eyes slightly.
Ginta forced a smile. “Great...”

Gah, I have this story all planned out in my head and it seems so awesome and elaborate- but on paper it seems... short XD. I'm sure I'll have more to say once the story starts to pick up. Until then, I need to set this up to be a legitimate couple ^_^ I promise the next chapter won't be all lame-o-short ^_^ Hmm... for some reason my brain had a horrible time with grammar in this chapter- sorry for any mistakes that I overlooked.
dagget::: Meh... this chapter's not much longer than the last one, sorry ^_^;; Glad to see that you're interested though :)
Lady Laran::: ^_^ I love rare pairings XD. Thanks for the comment!
tolani::: Thanks much! I hope you liked this one too.
Llonella::: It's not unusual if it sounds credible ^_~ Thanks a whole bunch for the comment!
Abraxas::: *Jumps up and down* I love your fics!!! I'm definitely happy to hear that I've gotten your interest ^_^
Peya Luna::: Believe it or not, I never realized that they were both canines XD Inuyasha accepting Kouga as a leader would be very difficult for him; then again, Kouga would probably have a hard time letting one of his buddies leave the pack.... Hard decision... I doubt mpreg will show up, it's not really my thing ^_^;; And yeah, Ginta has some dark hair, and some silver hair. Hakkaku's the one with the spiky blondish hair ^_^
yaoihentai69::: I'll try to update frequently for ya ^_^
