I'll See You Again

A/N: Sorry I haven't been writing very much, my laptop decided to stop working -__-'. I started this new story but I didn't plan on posting it until I finished all of the chapters. But when I finished I was so happy I just posted it up right away. Sorry if you're mad at me for not finishing ^_^' Oh and in this story, Sesshomaru is just a tad OOC. So I hope you don't mind.

Rin walked down a maze of hallways and through doorways-but still ended up nowhere. She was beginning to regret her rash actions and wished that she could find her way back. She was beginning to get scared, but most of all frustrated. After a few more minutes of walking, Rin decided to sit on the ground and rest her aching legs; she never realized just how large the estate was. "Where the hell am I?" Rin said as she clutched her knees to her chest.

"Rin, must you be so reckless." Sesshomaru said as he stooped down beside the girl that was leaning against the wall. Something about her just made him want to hold her, and be near her-protect her.

"Get away from me ... you jerk," Rin said half-heartedly as he wrapped his arms around her. "I don't think so. You're coming with me whether you like it or not." Sesshomaru said as he picked her up.

Rin wrapped her arms around his neck and her legs around his waist. Sesshomaru was a bit puzzled at Rins' advances, but just went along with it. 'She doesn't know what she's doing.' He thought as he carried her back to his room. Reaching the door, he noticed that Rin had fallen asleep. As Sesshomaru entered the room, he gently placed Rin onto the bed to lie down, and sat beside her.

Sesshomaru just sat there, watching Rin sleep when he got a text message from Kagome.

Are you and Rin okay? Don't tell me she ripped your head off LOL--Kagome

We are fine, b there soon--Sesshomaru.

After he replied, Sesshomaru closed his phone and placed it back into his pocket. Just as he did so, his phone began to ring. "What is wrong with these people?" Sesshomaru whispered to himself before he picked up the phone once again, "Yes? What do you want?"

"Can I come home now?" InuYasha said irately into the phone.

"Did I say you could come back?" Sesshomaru said coolly.

"No... But" InuYasha was cut off by Sesshomarus' voice once again, "Well then it seems that you can't come back InuYasha." Sesshomaru then hung up the phone on his angry half-brother, and shut it off. He didn't wish to be disturbed by his half brother, or anyone else.

Just as Sesshomaru put his phone away, Rin began to stir in her sleep. Short after her eyes fluttered open and she was looking into the amber orbs of Sesshomaru. Rin blinked once then said, "Why are you looking at me like that?" in a confused tone.

"I'm not looking at you in any special way." Sesshomaru replied as he watched her sit up on the bed.

"Well, I think we should get back to Kagome, she'll be worried." Rin said as she rubbed the sleep from her eyes. She moved to stand up but Sesshomaru grabbed her wrist and pulled her to sit on his lap, "Don't be cross with me Rin, I didn't mean to offend you when I kissed you." Sesshomaru said looking down at her in his lap.

"Well, you just made it seem like-"Rin was cut off by yet another kiss from Sesshomaru. This time Rin let it happen and melted into him. Sesshomaru brushed his tongue along her bottom lip, asking for entrance. Tin complied and let Sesshomaru message her tongue with his. Rin pulled away from their kiss after a while, which left Sesshomaru a little puzzled until she straddled his waist.

Rin began to kiss him again, but Sesshomaru held her and gently pushed her off to look her in the eyes, "Rin, we can't do this."

Rin was stunned, and a little hurt. She just looked at him for a moment and got off of him and stood. "How do I get back?" Rin said in a voice that betrayed her anger, hurt and confusion.

"I'll take you back." Sesshomaru said as he stood and motioned for her to go first.

"No, you go first, I have to follow you remember?" Rin said still angry.

Sesshomaru didn't say anything; he just walked in front of her and looked back if she was following.

Rin and Sesshomaru soon returned to an almost filled "party" room. All of Kagomes' friends that she knew, and even some that she didn't have shown up and the room was fully decorated with balloons and party ribbon. Also a large banner spanning the length of the room that read Happy Birthday InuYasha! across it was hung up.

"Wow, you guys took long!" Kagome said as she walked up to Rin and Sesshomaru.

"Yeah, sorry about that. I was really exhausted and I took a nap." Rin said, trying to seem cheerful; Sesshomaru said nothing.

"Oh, yeah it's okay," Kagome, said with a smile, "Hey come over here Rin, I want you to meet some people." She said as she took Rin by the arm and brought her over to a ground of her friends; leaving Sesshomaru alone for a quick moment-before he was bombarded by a group of girls.

"Hey, you must be InuYasha's brother. You two look alike."

"Good observation." Sesshomaru said in a dry tone, "Excuse me." He walked over to Rin and the group that she was conversing with some others in and tapped her on the shoulder, "Can I speak with you for a moment?" She nodded and Sesshomaru said to the group, "If you'll excuse us for a moment." Walking out of the room and shutting the door behind them, Sesshomaru walked with Rin to the lounge not too far away from where they were a few minutes ago.

"What did you want?" Rin said glaring at him.

"I wanted to apologize," Sesshomaru started, but paused. He didn't quite know how to word this.

"Duly noted," Rin said in a dry tone as she continued to glare, "Can I leave now?" After a short pause, she just began to walk away.

"Rin wait," Sesshomaru said as he took hold of her and, to try and make her stay. He wanted her to hear this. "I have to say this and get if off my chest."

"What? That you think I'm beautiful? You love me? Oh, I've heard it before, and I don't plan on believing shit like that again. Every guy that has said that to me ..." Her once heated voice began to trail off as memories began to swarm her mind. Memories of heartbreak, and violence ... things that she thought she had forgotten long ago. Rin turned away from him as un-shed tears began to sting at her eyes. "They lied, they all lied."

Sesshomaru watched in a shocked silence as she fell to her knees, clutching her abdomen and cried. Sesshomaru wrapped his arms around her and placed his forehead on her shoulder, his chest up against her back and held on to her--Rin hung her head in a lame attempt to hide the tears he has already seen fell from her eyes.

Sesshomaru held onto her for ... who knows how long. "Let me go." Rin said as her sobs began to subside. Sesshomaru only loosened the grips he had on her, but didn't fully let go. "I said let me go, I want to leave." Rin said emotionless, and she pushed his arms away from her, rather slowly, and stood up. She began to walk away from him, but he put his hands on her shoulders and said, "Rin, please wait."

"No, I'm leaving." Rin said as she shrugged his hands off and began to walk away from him, back to the room that the party was being held in. Sesshomaru walked a few steps behind her as they entered the room. "Hey what took you two so long? InuYasha is on his way, I called him and told him I had a "special surprise" for him." Kagome said cheerfully.

"That's great Kagome, but listen. I don't think that I can stay. I don't feel very well," Rin said before she hugged Kagome and continued, "Tell me all about this later okay?" Trying to act cheerful. "Yeah alright, I hope you feel better." Kagome said, confused and disappointed. After Rin walked away from her, Kagome grabbed Sesshomarus' arm before he could walk away and whispered, "Hey! What did you do to her?"

"I did nothing. Excuse me," Sesshomaru said as he removed her hand from his sleeve and walked away over to Rin who was making her way out of the room. "Rin, let me drive you home."

"No I can-" Rin stopped herself; she just remembered that she had been driven here and didn't know her way back. "I'll just walk." She said walking out of the front door, Sesshomaru behind her. "Rin don't be like that. Let me drive you home. After everything I have done to you today, I at least owe you this. Please will you let me?"

Rin just looked back at him for a moment and considered his offer. She didn't really know where to go, and she really didn't feel like calling a cab. "Fine, whatever" She said rolling her eyes as she turned away from him and descended the stairs in front of her. Although he thought that she could be a little more grateful for his efforts, he didn't want to bring her anymore distress. Sesshomaru just lead her over to his car and opened her door before he could climb in on the other side.

Their drive to Rins home was fairly silent except for her giving him directions. Other than that, no words were spoken between the two. Finally pulling up into her driveway, Sesshomaru climbed out of the car and opened Rins. "Thanks for the ride." Rin said emotionless as she walked up to her front door, leaving Sesshomaru standing beside the car for a moment, still shocked from her statement for a moment. Before Rin could move into her home from the front steps, Sesshomaru walked up beside her. "Rin may I come inside for a moment?" He was just hoping that she would say yes, but for what he has done, he was expecting a no, or maybe a door in his face.

"Yeah, whatever." Rin said as she walked into her house, followed by Sesshomaru who shut the door and locked it behind him.

"So Rin, what I wanted to say earlier was,"

"Sesshomaru, I already said that I didn't want to hear it. And what did you want when you asked to come in? IF you think I'm going to sleep with you or something, then you're sadly mistaken." Rin said as she turned around to look at him, standing near the front door.

"I don't think that and I wouldn't try to push anything like that on you. Will you listen to what I have to say?"

"Whatever, sit." Rin said as she walked over to the couch in the living room.

Sesshomaru followed her and sat beside her on one of the couches. "Well Rin, what I was going to tell you was that I do think that you're beautiful and ... I'm sorry that I kissed you and if you did not want it. But I'm not sure why I did it Rin; it's just that I feel like I have a connection with you. Like I knew you from before. I can't really explain what I feel when I am around you but, I'm sorry."


Sesshomaru finished his speech and stood from the couch to leave, but was stopped by Rin holding onto his sleeve, "No Sesshomaru ... stay for a little while?" Rin was listening to his speech in a shocked silence. She honestly didn't know what to say, but she felt sort of ad about being so rude to him earlier.

As the day progressed, the two got to know the other more. They talked and laughed, and became seemingly close friends. They shared a trust with each other that was unusual for people that only knew the other for that short period of time. They talked about all the fun times they had with their family and friends, and they shared the bad.

"Sesshomaru you know, you and your mother don't really look alike. Yet you and your brother seem so similar. Why is that?" Rin said as she looked over at him lying down beside her.

At sometime during Sesshomarus' stay at Rins' home, she had given him a tour. And now the two were lying down on the bed in her room. Rin had long since changed from the clothes she was in at the party and was now wearing a white tank top and black shorts-her regular clothes.

"That's because my mother died when I was young, Izayoi is just my step-mother." Sesshomaru said as he watched the ceiling, suddenly wishing that they were outside, he sat up and looked at Rin. "Hey Rin, would you like to go outside? We could watch the sunset?"

Rin hadn't noticed that it was quite late in the evening. She hadn't noticed all the time that they spent together. "Yeah sure let's go." She said smiling.

Rin stood up and waited for Sesshomaru to stand also, and was a little surprised when he took her hand and walked with her to her backyard where they sat in the grass and looked up at the darkening sky.

They sat together in a comfortable silence with each other until they sky was dark, and the moon was high. Sesshomaru looked over at Rin who was leaning on the shoulder on his right side and wrapped his arms around her. Although the night was fairly warm, he couldn't help but think that she was cold. "Do you want to go inside?" Sesshomaru said finally. "Yeah, I'm kind of hungry, are you?" Rin said standing.

"Yeah." Sesshomaru said smiling.

Walking inside holding hands once again, Rin and Sesshomaru went to the kitchen to find something for them to eat. Over a dinner of Rice and Chicken, the two began to converse again, this time about work and friends... and whatever else came on their minds. After finishing their meal, Rin looked at the time and saw that it was well past 11 o'clock. She felt as though hardly any time had passed between them.

"Sesshomaru, it's getting late. Don't you think you should get home now?" Rin said a little disappointed. She didn't want him to leave, but she knew he had to.

Checking his cell-phone for the time, he saw that it was a few minutes past 11:30. "Wow." Sesshomaru said surprised. "Well, I think I better get going," He said standing up and walking over to the front door to put on his shoes, "We should do this again sometime." He smiled and winked at her, Rin just blushed. "Yeah we should."

"Oh, that reminds me. I don't have your number." He said handing her his cell to add her info in. she added her house and her call number. "Thanks," Sesshomaru kissed Rin on the cheek, "Bye. I'll call you." He turned and walked away.

End of This Chapter ...

This is probably one of the longest chapters I have ever written for one of my stories. Although it is only 5 pages long, I still think it's an improvement from the 1 1/2 pages that I used to write all the time. And I think I have a story chapter with just 1 page. LMAO. That makes me laugh when I think back to it. TeeHee.
