Chapter 2
Connections

Panning through space, one would see many things, debris, gases, stars, planets; but not a small ship,
darting toward its destination. Serenity held her daughter to her, and looked out the window in the
front of their small vessel. She glanced downward and brushed a golden lock of hair out of her daughter’s face.
Suddenly, their tiny ship rocked, as their entered something unknown; not even the tiny computer gave any
warning. Serenity typed in a couple commands, and realized that the computer wasn’t responding.

“Damn it! Not again.” She whispers to herself. “I guess that we’re just going to see where this anomaly is
going to take us.”

The ship rocks again, and this time, the young girl wakes up. “Are we there yet, Mother?”

“Not yet, dear. Just go back to sleep Amethyst.”

Their ship rocks one last time, and then starts spinning out of control. Serenity grabs her daughter and
holds her close. Then, everything comes to a crashing halt. Serenity’s hands fly over the small computer
inside the ship.

Amethyst looks up at her mother with fright in her emerald eyes. “Where are we Mother?”
“I don’t yet dear, just let me finish these computations.” She looks at the screen, and sighs. “Well, its
safe, but we’re not on Earth. By what the computer shows here, that rocking was us entering an interdimensional
space rift. We seem to be back in my continuum, but this seems to be the satellite that orbits the Earth here.”

“What does it mean Mother?”

“It means that we’re back to my home, but on the moon, not Earth. I think for the time being, we’ll stay
here. Going back to the Southern Lands can wait. I left Jino in charge for a good reason; he’s a good leader,
and will be fine for a little while longer.”

“So we’re staying here?”

“Yes, my daughter. We will build a home here, and start preparations in case that…” she chokes out the word,
“monster, ever comes here. I will train you the way you should have been trained from the beginning. And
when you come of age, I’ll show to the lords who you will be your equals.”

She opens the hatch, exposing them the barren landscape that would soon be transformed into a bustling
economy. Amethyst looks on as her mother walks toward an empty basin. Her mother’s long silver hair,
restrained in two buns, on the top and sides of her head, shine in the moonlight. The two long ponytails
flowing out behind her, morphing into the long white gown, against her pale skin accented her ethereal
beauty. Her mother’s pointed ears and bright sapphire eyes, glowed slightly as she dug into the earth below
to throw up gigantic slabs weighing tons each.

Amethyst looked out as the Earth rose against the dark night, showing the beautiful blue seas and fluffy
white clouds. Her mother stopped her work, and looked at the sight of the girl staring out at the planet
rising in the horizon.

“Amethyst, come here. It’s time to start your lessons. We’re going to start building up your strength,
now unsheathe your claws and come help.”

“Yes Mother.” Amethyst responds, and with one last glance at the fragile looking world beneath her,
she turns away and joins her mother.

There was a new power in play. And Sesshomaru didn’t like it. When something happened that he couldn’t
predict, he got irritable, and it wasn’t something that he enjoyed. As the moon rose in the night sky,
he glanced up, knowing something was coming. Soon, the power would make itself known, and Sesshomaru would
eliminate this threat to his power.

“Sesshomaru-sama!” He heard Rin call out as she and Jaken caught up to him.

“Do you feel that Milord?” Jaken asked.

Sesshomaru didn’t respond, but continued to look up at the moon.

Meanwhile, in another dimension…

“What is you wish, my Liege?” A young Prince Vegeta bows low, hoping that his actions wouldn’t cause
any punishment.
Frieza smiled wickedly as his new slave cowered in fear. “Nothing yet, boy. But don’t you worry.
Soon I will have many a use for you.” And with that we laughed quietly to himself, thinking of all of
the things that, when he’s a little older, he could do to the boy’s body. He cock grew hard just thinking
about that tight little ass the young prince had. ‘There will come a time, soon very soon,’ he thought.
‘But for now, my pleasure will have to wait.’ And he smiled once more as he dismissed the boy
Vegeta walked the halls slowly, taking his time getting back to the hell hole that monster called his
room. Ever since his birth, Frieza had been a part of his life, and Vegeta had a permanent room on the
gigantic ship Frieza called home.

He looked out the window, and looked through the stars, at what was left of the only home he had known.
“I failed you. I’m so sorry, Mother, Father...” His tears flowed freely down his face as one more word
escaped his lips.

“Serene…”
