She didn’t move, and we held eye contact for what seemed like forever and I couldn’t take it anymore.
“Rin, come here. I need you…”

I wanted to touch her so desperately. Never had I allowed myself the pleasures of her body, the comfort of her presence. I wilted like a flower with no soil, and she was the ultimate gift of life from which I sought. I craved her on a desperate emotional level, finally allowing myself to give in to the state of bliss only she could bring about within me.
She walked slowly at first, wary as if she were afraid of what I might do. I could see how much she actually needed me, and I could smell her anxiety and desire permeating around her. I did not smile, but simply pleaded with my eyes. I could not help but have cold features, I have retained that composure for many decades, and how ironic that on this day I wish I knew how to actually let go of my pride and tell her my secret so openly.
She slowly caressed my face with her hand, searching my eyelids, lips and fangs with her fingertips. It was like she was meeting me anew, and wanted to become more familiar with me than she already was. Her eyes were slightly glassy, her hand still exploring my skin. She touched my neck softly, bringing her other hand to touch my face again, and left a chaste kiss upon my lips. She blushed, but my Rin was brave and straight to the point.
It warmed me that she was willingly giving herself to me, but I could not take what she offered without telling her.
“I know what you ask of me, and I would willingly give, but could you live an eternity with this Sesshomaru?”
I could feel her body tense as the word ‘eternity’ slipped my lips. She looked me in the eyes, searching for something that I could not easily show. She wanted to see my love and desire for her, and I could feel her doubt. She was never good at hiding it from me, but I patiently awaited her answer.
“Could you live an eternity with this human, Sesshomaru?”
Her answer was surprising, and I was more interested that she did not use my title. Never before had she called me by my given name, and I waited a moment in silence before answering.
“Living without you is my biggest problem.”
I kissed her quickly, using the opportunity of her gasp to slip my tongue inside. I wanted to taste her, to melt into her and never let her go. She was an exquisite flavor, and I had a feeling we weren’t leaving my bedroom for a long while. However, my strength was low, and I needed food.
I released her from my kiss, the effect of my surprise still on her face.
“Rin, I have not eaten for a long while. May you please ask the cook to bring up some food? I wish for you to feed me.”
She immediately looked surprised, and thrilled to be given a chance to have such an intimate moment with me. I surprised myself by chuckling, something of which I learned from her, and explained to her why I wanted her to feed me.
“For you to feed me, is a way of bonding for mates. I wish you to be my wife, and the beginning of my courtship consists of you feeding me. I wish to have my complete strength for when I ravish your body, for I have been deprived with out you, and I want no other to be the Lady of my lands.”
She blushed deeply as her eyes shone brightly, and quickly departed my chambers.
Soon my courtship would begin, and I’d show her the difference between of being the wife of a youkai and that of a human.
