Chapter 1: Becoming
‘today is the day, I’ll go down’ kept repeating in her head a young girl sitting in a large room, living there for so many time hadn’t made her used to the stunning beauty of the room, every time she walked through those doors she was always amazed by the tedious details of the decoration, white walls with golden frames and gorgeous ceramic works. But unfortunely the place she wanted to get in, she had never seen. Actually where she was at the moment was used like a waiting room.
“Kagome” she heard someone call ’finally’ she thought. Standing, she turned to find the source of the voice.
She stopped to check this person, she was wearing a purple gown that reaches her ankles and was tied in her waist by a golden ribbon, and she was indeed beautiful and seems a lot older than her.
“It’s me, Madame” she said with a smile in her face.
“Follow me please” the woman said returning the gesture.
Kagome was wearing a white gown, but hers was short reaching her mid thighs, and it was kept in place by a silver and ample belt around her tiny waist. She never thought herself as beautiful but everyone else had a different opinion. She had a stunning body, wavy black hair that reached her hips and a face with an unmask able beauty, but what most caught the attention were the intense sapphire eyes she had, they were so full and alive that you could easily get lost in them.
Kagome was beyond happy, at this point they always tell her to retreat and back to her normal duties, this time she was being leading to a different room, she was starting to feel really nervous but her desire was greater than that.
Finally they reached a huge porton, it seem to be made of a very special wood and as all of the things in this place, adorned with gold. It was like 8 meters wide and 15 meters tall. Then slowly it finally started to open up.
“You can get in now, they’re waiting for you”
She just nod at her and made her way inside the wooden doors. Once inside she was welcome with an unbearable dark, she tried to acostumbrate her eyes and try to see something but it was useless. Time was passing and there were still no signal that nobody was going to go to attend her. She felt her hopes going down. Maybe she didn’t deserve it..
A blinding light distracted her from her thoughts.
“Why are you here, girl” said a deep voice
It took a moment to Kagome to finally understand what was going on; slowly she opened her hurt eyes and answered
“I want to prove to you that I’m worthy and have all the qualities to become a guardian angel” said rising a little her voice, since she couldn’t see who was talking to her
After a while another voice, a female voice said “and why do you believe such a thing, how will you prove it to us”
She was prepared for this and knew it wouldn’t be easy “I’ve been doing all the chores you’ve put me through with extra-effort, it’s has always been my dream to serve on earth, I think I will be more useful down there than here and… ”
She was cut “do you really know what you’re asking? This isn’t an easy task”.
She felt herself being lift off the ground, but still not seeing whom she was talking to. Then the darkness was becoming like a picture, what it shows made her shudder.
“This is what you have to fight to” said the voice referring to the numerous images of people hurting, starving, killing themselves and each other, she was forced to see this for like an eternity. All she heard about the world below was hoe beautiful it was, and how much fun you could have if you were a guardian angel. She was a fool.
“you know girl, this is actually happening right now, every second someone suffers, someone make others suffer, these people, that place you want to go to, are tainted, I don’t think your strong enough for this”
Until that moment she was shaking, then let out a little laugh “I know I can’t make a big difference, but at least I can help a soul to be saved, it would be easy for me to stay here and just let this problem in the hands of someone else, but I JUST CAN’T STAY INDIFFERENT”
“As you wish”
“AAHHHHHHHHHHHH” she was feeling an incredible pain In her back, ‘what is this angels don’t feel any pain’ it was a consuming pain she felt like someone was ripping everything inside her, she heard her garments ripping and her skin being cut, “WHAT ARE YOU DOING TO MEEEE AHHHH”.
After two hours of suffering she almost past away when the pain finally stopped. She had her eyes tightly shut and was sweating from the pain. Opening slowly her eyes she looked ahead and saw light instead of dark, and in front of her were three old men and an old lady. One of them extended his hand to her to help her up.
“You’re done, take a look at yourself…”
She was confused. Looking at herself she understood the meaning of his words, from her back two halos of light where coming out like they were lightening but wings like. she was out of words,lost in her own world until she heard
“You’ve become a guardian angel”
