Like a Drug


Inuyasha swallowed a gasp at the open and honest words of the wolf. Someone was in heat? By the way Kouga had been sniffing and dismissing everyone, that only left one more person to investigate. Himself. No way was he allowing that damned dirty ookami to inhale him! Hells no!

He backed away from the group, discreetly distancing himself from the sudden chaos. Maybe he could escape into the woods without-

"And where do you think you're going, mutt?"

Well, shit.

He whirled around and glared belligerently at the demon, being careful to keep his distance. In light of his recent and confusing change, he wasn't sure if he wasn't the one who had succumbed to the heat. He wanted to find this out on his own, not by some damned wolf demon with a passion for stealing other men's women.

"Far away from this bullshit. Like I'd really want to waste my time being around you."

Kouga's eyes gleamed as he took a menacing step forward. "Far be it for me to stop you, although..." He paused for dramatic effect, letting the words linger. "I'm sure Kagome is equally enthralled at this mysterious smell as I am."

Inuyasha's eyebrow twitched as he turned to look at the reincarnated miko. She gazed back at him, brown eyes sparkling expectantly.

"Hell no." With that, he turned and bounded off into the encompassing forest.

Kouga growled menacingly underneath his breath. He was so sure peer pressure would work on the dumb mutt. With a flourish, he ran after Inuyasha. Branches and leaves whirled past as he used his speed to make up for lost time and distance. Twigs cracked up ahead as the puppy caught wind that he was in pursuit.

"Don't chase me, asshole!" Came the muffled sound of Inuyasha's voice.

"Then don't run!" This pursuit was ridiculous and it ended now! The muscles in his legs tensed as he gave a final leap, clearing the air over the half-demon's head and landing directly in front of him.

Inuyasha breaked but the distance between them was too short. He skidded to a halt right into Kouga's strong arms. The wolf wrapped said arms firmly around his waist and buried his nose deep into his shoulder.
The half-demon felt him tense and a low growl emitted from deep within the ookami's throat.
"Mmm. You smell... delicious," he ground out between harsh sniffs.
He could feel the wolf's desire pressing firmly against his stomach. The scent of the lust brought an involuntary whimper to his throat and he tensed up. Kouga's arousal was turning him on? How fucked up was he?!
He struggled to get away but his firm hold remained unbreakable, solidly linking him and the wolf in a tight embrace.

"Mine," came a muffled growl.

Inuyasha froze as the scent in the air spiked aggressively. Kouga's demonic aura was practically reeking of masculinity and it called out to a foreign part of Inuyasha. If he didn't get away soon, there was no telling what would happen. That is, if the recent dampness on the front of his pants was an impending sign.

"Inuyasha! Kouga! Where are you?" Kagome's voice cut through the forest, a welcome relief to the half-demon. He made a move to get away but the wolf's hold only got tighter.

"Mine. You. Are. All. Mine!" Kouga ground his hips furiously into the smaller male, punctuating each word with a solid thrust. Inuyasha whimpered, rolling his head back as his own growing erection was stimulated.

Kouga raised his head and he gasped. Something inside of him had brought out the feral side in the large wolf demon. The proof was in his eyes and face. The once blue eyes were taken over by a furious, reddish gleam; one such gleam that left a shiver of anticipation running down Inuyasha's spine. The left side of his face was inscripted with a sprawling and beautiful black tattoo, much like a tribal sign.
He raised a trembling claw to touch the tattoo but flinched as Kagome's voice sounded again. She was getting closer! He let his arm fall back to his side in favor of snapping Kouga out of whatever state he was currently in.

"Let me go, you fool! What if Kagome sees us like this? You won't have a fighting chance of getting her to be your mate then!"

Kouga growled at the insolent puppy. He preferred it when the half-demon was soft and aroused in his grip. He brought his mouth close to his puppy ears and blew gently. Such talk of Kagome as his mate! He was so far off the mark. All thoughts of the mortal wench had disappeared when Kouga took his first sniff of Inuyasha's scent. Like a drug, it had coursed through his veins, leaving him feeling feral and more-than-a-little horny.
But he could tell the smaller male was getting anxious and it didn't bode well. He nibbled lighly on the delectably furry puppy ears, and smirked when he smelled Inuyasha's renewed arousal.

"Nnngh."

Yes, Inuyasha was like a drug; his own, personal high. One that he would be willing to use again and again and again.

Kagome was getting closer and it was time for him to collect himself. Taking a step back, he took a deep breath. His mistake. Inuyasha's scent still hung in the air, making him hot. Before he could gather the half-demon back into his arms, he took off towards the voice.

"Run, little puppy, run," he growled, and smirked to himself. This was going to be one hell of day.

A.N. Okay, the whole time I was writing this chapter the song, "If I were Gay" kept running through my head and I thought, 'How appropriate!' (Not to be confused with, "If You Were Gay".) Alright, folks. Seeing as I didn't get one single review last chapter, it took me awhile to update. I would still appreciate your opinions, even if they aren't as great as I would like them to be. Seeing as I did work hard on this, I'd be mucho obliged to get them... Flames warm my bed, yeah?
