'Dammit, why do I feel this way?' wondered Miroku as he jumped into the hot springs bare naked in the middle of the night.



'It's not as if Lina or the other girls are particular attractive, except perhaps Sylfial, so why am I so damn hard?'



He glanced down at his swollen stiff member, and began touching it to relieve some of his stiffness.



'Perhaps it's their personality that turns me on....' wondered the monk as he continued to stroke himself.



Further thought was lost as ripples of pleasure began to take hold on this body. He imagined the various girls doing him in various positions, trying to think of which one turned him on the most. When he came, he realized to his displeasure which one it was that turned him on the most.



"Perhaps it is her politness and hyper-activness that gets me going..." wondered Miroku outloud as he proceeded to clean himself up.



The monk climbed out of the springs and proceeded to re-dress before heading back to the campsite for a few hours of rest at the least.

Kagome was one of the first to awake the next morning, and seeing everyone else still asleep, decided to walk down to a nearby stream to gather up some food to eat. As demons required less sleep that humans, Shippou soon joined her, as did Kirara in trying to catch some fish for breakfast.



"So Kagome..." started Shippou, trying to catch the miko's attention.



"Hmn, what is it Shippou?" asked Kagome.



"What do you think about our new friends?" asked the Kitsune.



"Well, they all seem okay, none of them seem to be anything worse than Inuyasha." answered Kagome in a non-commital tone of voice.



"Okay, well I'll trust your judgement on this one." replied Shippou, before using his fox fire to start a campfire in which to cook their catch.



Into an iron pot, Kagome combined some water, sliced fish meat, and several types of herbal leaves and edible branch roots to create what she called Feudal Fish stew, plenty healthy and perfectly tastly.



The aroma of the fish stew was plenty enough to stir the rest of both groups out of their slumber. There was just enough stew for everyone to have a full bowl, plenty enough to start out the day with.



But, as it was, there was fighting over portions, as some of the members in the group wanted more than just their share. To Kagome's suprise, Lina tried to steal both Gourry's and Amelia's portions, and a nasty three way fight ensued.



As usual within her own group, Inuyasha tried to take Shippou's portions. One sit command fixed that problem perfectly. As for the others, what Gourry lost was replaced with Slyfial sharing her own, and Amelia's being replaced by Miroku's, to both Kagome's and Sango's suprise.



A little while later, the combined group had packed up and was ready for a long day of walking. But first, they needed to decide where to go.



"I say we head north. We had recieved more reports of demon attacks in that area." argued Lina, pointing in one direction.



"And I say we head south, there are more villages there which haven't been attacked yet. It makes sense that Naraku would go there next." backfired Inuyasha, pointing in the opposite direction.



"Why don't we split up, see what we can find, and come back to meet each other?" interjected Kagome.



"What, first you want to ally, and then split apart?" asked Lina with confusion in her voice.



"Not really. Let's see...." Kagome thought out loud, putting her finger on her chin, "How about Inuyasha, Lina, Miroku, Slyfial, and Sango head north and check out there? In the meantime, the rest of us could head south and be on hand to prevent any attacks on villages there?" proposed Kagome.



"Sounds all right to me." said Lina.



"I don't wanna let you out of my sight Kagome." protested Inuyasha.



"Don't start with that attitude again boy. I'll be fine with the others." said Kagome, waggling her finger in the I'm-about-to-sit-you motion, causing Inuyasha to clamp his mouth shut and nod his head.



With that settled, the group split up, and headed off in their seperate directions.

"Smell anything Shippou?" asked Kagome after a while of walking, when the kitsune stopped and started smelling around him.



"Yeah I smell demon, and a lot more than one specific scent. It's not too old either." responded the kitsune, wrinkling his nose.



"I can faintly sense a large demonic aura nearby." added Zelgoddess.



"Ooohhh." whimpered Amelia, clearly frightened.



"Let's check it out." said Kagome.



"Uhhh...yeah...good idea..." muttered Shippou, starting to shake a little bit.



"Amelia, Shippou, stay here if you want. Me, Gourry, and Kagome should be able to take care of this." said Zel, heading in the direction of the aura.



"Uh, ok, sure thing." said Shippou, as both he and Amelia sighed in relief.



"Let's go check this out, shall we?" said Zel, disappearing into the forest. Kagome and Gourry both followed his lead, also fading from sight.



Suddenly Shippou and Amelia both realized they were alone, and only had each other for company. Startling each other, they both ran to catch up to the three departing adults.



"WAIT FOR US!" they both yelled.

Kagura closed her fan after using it help cool herself off some. The jungle was starting to heat up again with it becoming day, and she had been leading a group of demons around all night long. Why Naraku had stuck her with a group of demons that could only walk instead of fly she didn't know, perhaps he was being intentionally cruel to her.



'It would be just like him' she thought.



A rustling in the bushes to her left caught her attention. From the treeline into the clearing emerged a group of five people, two older males, an older female, and a young girl, plus a young boy demon. The fox and the older girl, Kagura certainly recognized.



"Ah, Kagome and Shippou. What a coincidence meeting you two here." she said, a smile crossing her lips.



"Kagura." hissed Kagome, unslinging her bow from her shoulders.



"You know her?" asked Zel, drawing his sword and preparing for battle.



"She's one of Naraku's minions, an incarnation of him in fact." responded the miko as she notched an arrow and prepared to fire.



"I see." was Zel's response as he lowered his sword into a low guard position.



Gourry drew his sword out as well, as both Amelia and Shippou prepared to unleash their magic spells if necessary.



Kagura smiled, as she prepared herself and her demon minions for battle...

"Dammit, no sign of Naraku or his demons anywhere." groused Inuyasha as he looked over the remains of yet another decimated village.



"None of the bodies or debris is fresh. This village was attacked quite a while ago." commented Lina, looking around at the mutilated bodies strewn about.



"We can at least give them a proper burial." said Miroku, heading over to where one of the bodies lay.



"Wait Miroku, don't!" Sango shouted a warning, throwing a pebble at the body. Miroku shielded his head with his hands at the body exploded, raining intestines and gore all over the place and the group.



"Yuck!" exclaimed Lina, trying to clean herself up.



"The body was booby-trapped!" said Miroku, shock on his face.



"Yes, which means Kohaku must of been behind this attack." commented Sango, a sad expression coming to her face.



"Is Kohaku one of Naraku's servants?" asked Lina.



"Sort of. He's my younger brother, and is an unwilling slave of Naraku." replied Sango, not wanting to elaborate further.



"How horrid." spoke up Sylfial for the first time.



"Come on, let's get moving. The more time we waste here, the more villages may be attacked." commented Inuyasha.



"Where do you want to go next?" asked Lina.



"This is the fifth village we've surveyed. I think we should head south, and link up with the others to find out what they know." said Inuyasha.



"Sounds good to me." replied Lina.



Miroku and Sango hopped onto the back of Kirara, while Inuyasha looked at the two girls.



"You two need a lift?" asked Sango.



"No thanks. We've got our transportation covered. LEVITATION!" yelled Lina, powering herself and Sylfial into the air.



Together the five of them headed south, anxious to find out what the others have learned so far.
