Obessing Over You

Yawning as I stretch to get up to make breakfast for my friends I notice an unusual person in the clearing. The events from yesterday come back to me with breathtaking force.
“Ohayo Sesshomaru-sama”
He looks at me questioningly his stony mask still in place. Sighing in disappointment I get up out my sleeping bag to start the day. Glancing around I notice Inuyasha nowhere in sight. Miroku slowly creeps towards Sango in his sleep, sad how even in his sleep his is hentai. Bracing myself for the scream I look to Sesshomaru to see if he understands to cover his ears, frowning I watch as he just stares at me.
“HENTAI!!!” a loud slap follows and an angry Sango walks over to me, “Ohayo, Kagome”
I bite my lip to keep from laughing as she sits down on the rock in front of Sesshomaru. Inuyasha burst into the clearing glaring at Sango and Miroku.
“Ohayo, Inuyasha” I say as he moves towards me. I throw another stick in the fire so I could have enough fire to make breakfast when Inuyasha grabs me around the waist and spins me. I giggle at his antics, patting him on the shoulder to let him know I was dizzy.
“What was that for??”
He smiles to me “I’ve finally found Kikyou”
I frown deeply, even though my feelings for him as a lover and maybe more had passed my feelings toward Kikyou never changed. She was still a bitter priestess who had come back to life to take Inuyasha to hell with her for something that he proved wasn’t his fault. There was nothing left I could do but sigh on the subject though, which is exactly what I did when I looked at him. “So is she joining our group?”
He looks over to Sesshomaru and then back at me “Well she’s going to stay with Kaede”
I nod my answer and go back to cooking breakfast. As I serve it, I look to Sesshomaru motioning for him to join us but all he does is look away.
Groaning I put the pan down on the ground beside Inuyasha and walk over to Sesshomaru, sitting down in front of a tree next to his. “So you’re just going to follow us like this until I agree?”
He turns to look at me, raising one of his delicate silver eyebrows to my question.
I cross my arms, leaning back into the tree “You do know you may have to have an actual conversation with me for me to get to know you so then I will want to go with you I hope you understand”
“This Sesshomaru does not believe that you will need that to understand that this Sesshomaru is the strongest mate that you can get, Miko”
Growling slightly in my throat, I move to get up “There is the difference, Sesshomaru-sama; I am a human not a female demoness who understands youki court. You have to teach this stuff or I’ll never understand”
He nods his understanding. I move away when he calls me,”Miko”
I turn around “I have a name please use it”
“Kagome, we will talk tonight about the youki court regulations until then please refrain from referring to my person as Sesshomaru-sama. This Sesshomaru is Sesshomaru or any nickname you may think of for my person.”
I gap at him for about two minutes before I could have sworn there was a glint of amusement in his eyes that made my heart skips a beat. Shaking my head clear I go back to the rest of the group to make sure we can get ready to travel for the day.

~~~~Hours later with the Inu-tachi travels~~~~
“What do you mean take a break???” Inuyasha screams as I sits down on the nearest rock.
“I mean take a rest my feet hurt, it’s hot and I’m sweating so we are taking a break”
Inuyasha glares at me as I stay seated on the rock. Sango comes down landing in front of Inuyasha staring at the monk passed out on the back of Kiara. I stifle a giggle at the two, going back to the argument with Inuyasha. He looks away and sits down at the tree behind him “Ten minutes that’s all I am going to give you” I smile widely a lean back on the rock. The up coming village was supposed to have been attacked by a demon and I sense jewel shards near-by so we could only hope. Staring up at the sky I notice the clouds rolling in, so that meant we’d have to make sure we got there before the rain started. Franticly I look around, counting up everyone who was there, noticing that Sesshomaru was missing. Rubbing my temples I walk over to Inuyasha, “Where has your brother gone?”
Inuyasha looks up and shrugs “My half-brother seems to have left us, thank Kami”
I snort and walk back to the rock I was sitting on when I hear woosh of air. I look up to see the very demon I had asked about. “Where’d you go?”
He turns his cold eyes on me and I notice them soften slightly, “This Sesshomaru merely went to retrieve a gift for my mate-to-be”
I look down to his hands and see a package, giggling with happiness I run over to him, “What is it?!?!?!”
He moves it away from me, raising his right eyebrow, “This Sesshomaru didn’t happen to say that you would get it now, Miko”
I narrow my eyes slightly at two things, well one his constant talking in the third person it made him mysterious at first but now it just happened to annoy me, then there was that fact he can easily switch from calling me Kagome to Miko. I chose to voice these opinions. Much to my dismay they were the wrong things to say
“Your so bother by the was this Sesshomaru happens to speak?? This Sesshomaru happens to call you what ever he may chose because it suits him”
I roll my eyes and look him straight in the eye “You can seriously never just stop saying your own name?”
He looks at me coldly then tries, “This……I happen to know how to talk fine but chose to talk the way I do”
I smile “Well maybe I like when you talk this way”
He only continues to stare at me so I sigh and gesture to the package in his hands “So do I get my gift?”
He smirks evilly and I get the feeling that maybe I shouldn’t be so anxious to get it “You want it?”
I nod my head slowly unsure now that he had that look on his face. He opens the package before me and out comes a strikingly powder blue kimono with a purple obi. I stare at it in awe “You bought this for me”
He gestures to my current clothing “That’s just despicable so I took upon myself to properly attire you”
I smile and take the kimono from him and fold it “I’ll change into it as soon as we reach the next village.” He nods his approval and sits across Inuyasha as we finish resting.

Later that evening
Walking into the village I feel the jewel shards again “Inuyasha!! Over there!!.” In front of us was a bear demon devouring a horse. Inuyasha glance to me “Where are they?” I search the demon for the shards when I blue flash comes past us and the demon is in pieces. I turn around to see that Sesshomaru had Tokijin drawn. I walk over to the pieces of the demon and pull the jewel shards out of the left paw. I cover my ears expecting Inuyasha to rant at Sesshomaru for destroying the demon like that but instead I notice Inuyasha talking to what looked like the village priestess. As he walks back to us he smiles “We can sleep in the huts that the miko of the village owns for the night. Sango, Kagome, and Shippo sleep in the larger one while Miroku, me and Fluffy here will take the smaller one”
Sesshomaru growls at the nickname given to him but then says “I have no need for such meager things. I will keep guard over my mate-to-be for the night.”

Tossing and turning in my sleeping bag I look at the ceiling. Would it be so bad to be “married” to the Lord of the West. I would become the Lady of the West and well me and Sesshomaru never got to talk about youki court. I look at the door when I notice a shadow of movement.
Getting up I move the flap of the door and see Sesshomaru sitting in front of the door. Stepping out I sit down next to him “We never got to talk about youki court”
“Yes I know of this, Kagome”
“Now is better than never”, I look up to face to notice he has his eyes closed.
“Your expected to stay quiet unless spoken to unless you know your rank is higher than the one who has spoken before you. There is also the way you dress. You must always dress your rank and in your case it would be unless you are in my company a traditional kimono like the one I have given you. Then there is the way you carry yourself. You speak your mind too much but I am one of the highest ranked youki so there will be no problem with the way you speak out unless it is against me, at the moment you do you must show immediate submission by showing me your neck or my beast might take it to offense. Is there anything else you wish to know?”
I stare at him for a couple of seconds when his hand pushes my jaw shut. I nod yes and go to go back into the hut to sleep when I hear him whisper “Goodnight, my Kagome. May your dreams be as sweet as you” and with that he was gone from my sights.
