Nani!?
Chapter 2 – Nani!?
It was there in his eyes, she could see it now that she looked for it…
~Flashback~
“I love you,” he said with all his heart.
She bit her lip her back was to him so he couldn’t see her face “I was drunk, do you really think I would willingly sleep with a hanyou?”
‘I need him to hate me’ she thought ‘I need to be with Miroku and he needs to be with Kagome…that’s how it’s supposed to be…but why does it feel like my heart is shattering?’
Inuyasha’s eyes where wide with shock “N-nani!?”
Sango put on her best glare and looked at him with disgust “I don’t love you, I never could and never would…that thing" she motioned between them "that happened last night was a mistake!”
She saw it in his eyes the sadness, despair, and hurt that always lurked beneath their depths. It surfaced but she turned away ignoring it, not noticing the hanyou’s tears, the last thing she heard from him was “I’m sorry for being hanyou…”
When she looked back he was running off into the woods but she fought the urge to chase him and went to find the others.
~End Flashback~
Sango was crying as she lay in her futon ‘why did I say that…why did I lie to him? Was I really ashamed of him?’
She rolled onto her side and looked at the sleeping Kagome ‘I didn’t want to hurt Kagome or Miroku and thought I was just sacrificing my love…I didn’t think about how much I was actually hurting him.’
She finally fell into a fretful sleep, tossing and turning all night. Everyone was greeted to a rude awakening just as the sun began rising “It’s gone!”
They heard someone yelling and as they awoke slowly they heard the villagers running around. They let Shippo sleep with Kirara while the three humans woke and stepped outside “it’s awfully quiet” stated the monk.
Kagome nodded sadly “her mind going back to Inuyasha.
Sango didn’t reply as she looked around, she was kind of hoping that the others wouldn’t ask her about the kiss. She didn’t want to relive her love of the hanyou right now or tell them how she had slept with him.
She sighed softly and saw that most of the villagers were over by the shrine, so the group of three made their way to the steps.
“…And ye go look to the south check every house, under every rock, behind every tree and in every nook and cranny!” said Kaede.
“Oi…Kaede-sama?” asked the monk.
The old miko looked at him “I’ll be with ye in a moment Houshi-sama.”
She turned to a small group of men behind her and shouted some orders, Sango and Kagome looked around wondering what they had missed. Kaede finally turned back to them “I have some grave news for ye” she stated seriously.
The trio leaned forward waiting for her to continue.
The old miko cleared her throat and finally spoke “Inuyasha’s corpse has been stolen.”
“NANI!?” everyone screamed.
[A/N - Yes, yes i know...short chapters, but it's not the end of the world, sorry my chapters are only 2 pages long when they're normally at least 7-10...but what can i say i'm busy (-.-) so sue me.]
