Worlds clash

“Her fiancée was bat demon, named Kuronue that was partnered to a great thief named Youko Kurama. Youko was a fun loving free spirit as was Kuronue. The two were inseparable. She fell in love with them the day they met. She became part of the group. Healing their wounds and someone to sooth the nightmares. Though she was younger than them she was more like a mother. They gave her so many headaches. She loved the two of them like brothers but felt more for Kuronue. One night she wrote his name with a heart around it in the sand and before she could erase it he read it. They were closer than any couple could be from that night on. They decided to wait until she first goes into heat.”



“What is that?” asked Kagome, who being human it was a legitimate question.



“Going into heat is when a demon has the need to have intercourse to create.” Hotaru smiled and giggled at her blush. “Both males and females youkai go though it so once the male smells the female go into it he soon follows.” A bigger blush from Kagome for she thought that InuYasha could smell her if she was like that. “Humans go though it too. It is called their… oh hell what was it called. Right before the blood comes…” she turned to Kagome and Sango.



“Ovulation?” Kagome answered remembering from her health class.



“That’s it. So as I was saying, they decided to wait until she went into heat to mate. Then Youko found out about a piece of artwork worth stealing. The place was heavily guarded so they knew it must be valuable. They went and about a month after they left she found me. That was over a year ago.”

“So you are still waiting for him?” Shizuka nodded and the girls made an awing sound. Shizuka gave a soft smile and looked out the window. The rain was pouring now. She remembered a time when her, Youko and Kuronue played in the rain.



((Flash back))



“Shizuka! Kuronue! Get out of the rain…” Youko was trying not to laugh as he watched the two young lovers kick up water and dance in the rain. Shizuka tackled Kuronue to the ground and laughed. The two laughed as they rolled around on the ground. “You are going to get the place all muddy when you come in!” Shizuka and Kuronue looked at each other. The two smiled and ran full force to tackle down the great thief.



“A mute and a bat take down the great fox thief. What is the world coming too?” Kuronue said and the three laughed.



“I will get you for this you know that right? Maybe take your beautiful mate-to-be?”



“Touch her and die…” Youko got up and picked Shizuka up and ran with Kuronue right on his tail. Shizuka laughed and made faces at her love from the back of their friend. She reached down and grabbed his tail making him yelp and drop her in the mud. Kuronue stopped to help the woman who was nearly in tears from the laughter. She could barely make some hand motions to her love. “She says that is what you get for taking what is not yours. You will get what is coming. But that won’t happen for a very long time.”



“Yea I hope not. I want to be an uncle!” Youko beamed as the rain soaked his toga. “But that won’t happen if you die from the cold. Come on it and I’ll warm up some tea.” The trio laughed and walked back to the hideout and spent the rest of the storm inside.



((End Flashback))



“Shizuka?” Hotaru tugged on her toga. “Shizuka? Are you ok?” Shizuka nodded and made some hand movements. “So you were thinking about you and the last time you were with him in the rain?” Another nod. “Well we better get some sleep. Tomorrow we shall continue looking for him.” Shizuka sat down and Hotaru snuggled close to her chest. That is how the two of them fell asleep.
