Inuyasha's Refusal
Chapter 2
Inuyasha’s refusal
As Kagome walked back to the Kaede’s village she went over the conversation she had just had with Sesshoumaru. Suddenly she stopped moving and stood totally still, she had just realized what he had said about her clothing.
*Why that stupid self-imposed bastard. Calling me a common human whore! What was he thinking?*
‘Hahahaha you know he so totally got you on that one girl!’
*oh shut up! Just because I didn’t realize he had said it until just now doesn’t mean anything!*
‘ yea right… you know that if he hadn’t of said that you would have been wondering what he thought about those outfits and lets face it, in this time you DO look like a two dollar whore.’
*Just go away…*
‘Fine’
The Moonlight shined down in silver rays on the assembly below everyone, Youkai and Human alike, was bathed in it’s magnificent beauty. All heads were facing the southern gates of a great palace in the western lands. The lord of the manor just walking through those gates with a beautiful young woman on his arm. Kagome blushed a pretty pink from all of the attention Sesshoumaru was giving her. She looked up at his regal beauty and caught his golden eyes staring down at her. He opened his mouth to say something “ Kagome? What the hell are you doing standing like you just lost your mind?”
Kagome jerked out of the day dream to see Inuyasha standing right in front of her.
“And why do you smell like that stupid BAKA Sesshoumaru?” he inquired.
“Inuyasha?…. SIT BOY SIT, SIT, SIT!!! And for your information although it isn’t any of your business he just asked me to go to a party with him at his palace!”
Kagome stomped away from Inuyasha’s prone body paying no heed to the odd sounds coming from Inuyasha. *stupid baka should learn how to keep his mouth shut!*
‘true but damn did you have to sit him so much? Poor puppy. I kinda feel sorry for him’
*of course you would you loved him at one time too*
‘true again but then we both realized (someone later than me) that he still loved and wanted Kikyo. So we left him to try for true love again and you still care about him and you know it’
*so? I can still date other people, and fluffy finally wants me!*
‘whatever you know if I had eyes to roll I wouldn’t be able to stop them.’
*whatever just shut up!*
Kagome stopped when she saw Shippo come running towards her at full speed. “MOMMA! Kaede wants to talk to you and give you something from Sesshoumaru…”
Kagome picked up her little Kit and ran the rest of the way to Kaede’s hut. When she got there Sango and Miroku were waiting to say hi and barrage her with questions. But she pushed past them into Kaede’s hut gasping for air. Kaede looked at her as though she had lost her mind.
“There was no need for ye to rush child. I would have been here if ye had walked and so would the parcel from Lord Sesshoumaru.”
“I know but I just wanted to be able to go to the hot springs with Sango soon. What did he want you to give to me?”
“First he wanted me to make sure you would nay change ye mind.”
“Of course I wouldn’t. I am honored to be asked by him to join him at his party.”
“Alright child now you may open the parcel he left ye.”
Kagome sat down and pulled the package closer to her. Her heart started to race in her chest, her mouth went dry as she slowly untied the twine that held the package together. As the paper fell away she let out a slow breath and her eyes got so wide they looked like soup bowls. She sat staring at the most beautiful Kimono it was a pale blue color with a white Obi. Tucked inside the folds of the Kimono was a note to her from Fluffy.
Dear Kagome,
I hope this will do for the party, I thought the blue would compliment your coloring. The party is in two weeks be ready in one for it is a long trek to my lands. You may bring your Kit as well as the others in your group. I will come to get you in one week you will not be late.
Sesshoumaru
Letting the letter fall to the floor she hurried out to talk to Sango at the hot springs. When she got to the door it was roughly shoved aside so a very pissed off hanyou demon could go inside.
“So that bastard invited you to a party at his palace did he? Well you aren’t going!”
“LIKE HELL I’M NOT! YOU CAN’T STOP ME FROM GOING! YOU STUPID BAKA!”
“I said you aren’t going and you aren’t. That is final. Besides you would have to leave Shippo behind and Sango.”
“HA he said I could bring them along. He also said I could bring you but I don’t think I want to! Now Inuyasha SIT!”
Kagome rushed out of the hut and raced to the hot springs to meet up with Sango.
