Resentment

The next six months were a blur. I fell into a comfortable routine after finding an apartment. My routine consisted of wake up, eat, work, eat, work some more, go home, eat, and lastly sleep. And the cycle would continue. Weekends were spent mending the broken ties to my family.
One Friday night my routine was interrupted by a blue eyed devil name Kouga. I was minding my own business in the elevator waiting to reach my floor when my ascent was interrupted by someone needing to board the elevator. As the doors slid open there he was with the hair in the ponytail at the back of is head swaying slightly from the air rushing out of the elevator. I could tell he was a cocky bastard just by his stance and that smirk that showed just a hint of fang(“for the ladies that like to walk on the wild side” a direct quote from on of our conversations). Unfortunately I’m a sucker for a bad boy when I see one, the obvious proof would be my ex-husband. And with one well placed twitch of his mouth into a smirk my routine was changed. Instead of my routine being incredibly boring and mundane. Wild, passionate screwing in any place was slid in anywhere it would fit. Kouga knew my schedule so well I would just be leaving the shower preparing myself for the day when he would stroll into my small apartment arranging himself naked in my bed naked like an unwrapped present ready to be used. Though what Kouga and I had wouldn’t be called a relationship to anyone looking in on us it really helped me to regain the spark of life I had lost after being with Inuyasha for so many years. After two months of “dating” kouga I finally decided to go out with friends. Since at every club in our area Wednesday nights were known as ladies night we ventured out to many clubs drinking ourselves silly and basking in all the male attention we could get. One fateful night Kouga declared his dislike of “his woman” going to a club full of single men by herself so he decided to come with us which made room for the other males of my friends to voice their complaints, resulting in all of us bringing our significant others along with us in the process leaving the ruins of our sacred “Ladies Night Out”. After entering the club and having a drink I found Kouga refusing to dance with me, which was just stupid so I decided to dance anyway. Unbeknownst to me there was a pair of golden eyes watching me from across the room. I made my way through the crowd to the middle of the floor and danced. Soon I felt hands on my waste and I assumed it was Kouga. I could feel him grinding into my back and knew he just came to me because he wanted to go home and screw so I quickly whirled around ready to yell out my fustrations but stopped short due in part to the demon male facing me that had a eerie resemblance to Inuyasha. He leaned down and whispered in my ear “Why don’t come with me and leave that beer guzzling twit over there?” After he righted his self I perused his appearance from head to toe. He was gorgeous and that also meant that he was trouble with a capital T. Even girls like me knew their limits and he seemed like he was mine. “I think I’m going to have to say no to that.” I said and turned to walk to the bar.

Kouga was already standing with his coat on at the bar and told me he was going home so I said goodbye. He didn’t even give me a kiss and that’s when I realized again that what Kouga and I had was not a relationship.

This newfound freedom was a good thing for not only me but for that demon eyeing me like a man in the desert looks and a glass of ice water. I locked eyes with him and moved towards where he was and when I reached him his arms encircled my waste and turned me around so that my back was to his front. “Why are you with him?” he asked in my ear as he licked and nibbled my earlobe. “I don’t know I just needed a change.” I replied sliding my arm around his neck pulling him closer. “Lets go to my place.” He said slowly grinding his hardened member into my back. I don’t know what possessed me to trust this man I hardly knew but I felt safe with him and one look in his eyes told me that my feelings were right. “Okay but I need to tell my friends I’m leaving” Immediately after being freed from his embrace I made my way towards Sango gave her the gist of what was happening and told her I would be calling her later that week.

The man with golden eyes and white hair was waiting for me at the entrance and escorted me to his car. Before I got to the passenger side he said “You drive.” And tossed me the keys. We got into the car and I started driving. No sooner than leaving the parking lot he was all over my neck sucking, licking and kissing. At that moment keeping my eyes on the road was one of the hardest things I had to do in my life. I literally felt all the blood in my body rushing to the place between my legs. The whole time he was lavishing my neck he say things like “You smell like heaven. I could touch you for eternity and that would still not be enough”. Kami in heaven the man was driving me crazy and was making me see stars. “Whats your name?” I asked between gasps and moans from his ministrations.
“Sesshomaru.” He said simply and then gave me a series or directions that had us going up the driveway of a mansion.

Pulling up the driveway my attention was immediately grabbed by the many extravagant and expensive cars parked on a separate driveway infront of a large garage. The home itself was a work of art. Stairs led up to the door which had two stone columns on each side the color was a Ivory with gold trim.

I stopped before the sidewalk and before I could even think to open the door Sesshomaru was already there coaxing me into a passionate kiss slowly taking me from the car and having me straddle his waste. All of a sudden I was on a bed with silk blue sheets and Sesshomaru was before me naked as the day he was born. He slowly helped me out of my clothes and was doing things to my body that had me making sounds and gave me feelings I had never had with Kouga or Inuyasha. Then we were connected and we fit together perfectly pushing against each other feeling the others body and committing it to memory.

The next morning I woke up staring into golden eyes. I studied Seshomaru’s face and he looked to be deep in thought that sight made my breath stop for a moment but the moment was ruined by the ringing of my cell phone.

“Hello?” “Kagome, where the hell are you at?! You didn’t even come home from the club last night!” That was more of a statement than a question. “Kouga? I’ll talk to you later.” I didn’t even give him time to respond and just hung up the phone he was not my boyfriend and sure didn’t act like one. Setting my phone back in my purse on the nightstand I turned my head to see Sesshomaru gazing at me.

“Lets take a shower shall we?” he said. At first I hesitated but then looked at his expression and with a nod of my head I was lifted out the bed and carried bridal style into his lavish private bathroom to shower. Where there was another round of getting to know each other. Sitting on the bed in just a towel I proceeded to call in to my place of work and told them I was sick and would not be coming in today. I was then given a rather large t-shirt and sweat pants to wear and told we were going to breakfast and then Sesshomaru would take me home. Breakfast was spent learning about what each other did for a living and getting over the shocking information that he was Inuyasha’s older half-brother. We went to my apartment and Sesshomaru walked me all the way to my door and before I was able to turn the key he turned me around gave me the best kiss I’ve ever had in my life and said, “The choice is yours.” Then promptly turned around and walked away leaving me in the hallway before my apartment door.
