Chapter II: Lost and Found


"Do you really love me, Inuyasha?"

"Have I ever lied to you? Why do you ask me that same question everyday?"

"Because silly, I love you too..."

Kagome woke up with a headache to start. Her eyelids felt heavy as she looked around her surroundings. Seeing she was still in the school, she felt the hardness of the floor underneath her. Confused, she wondered what had happened and why she was sprawled out all over. Groaning loudly, she propped her elbows, pushing herself up on them. Blinking a couple of times, her sight readjust as she sat fully up. Bring her hand to her head, she felt the sharp pain pierced through, her nerves sending it at hundred mph. Letting out a wince, she needed to take something or it was going to kill her.

"You still haven't answered my question, how do you know my younger brother." a voice whispered from behind her.

Kagome body frozed by the tone of the voice. She felt her blood solidified in her veins as those words were cold. Quickly turning around, she saw that same boy sitting there on the floor, his back against the wall. His amber eyes narrowed, silver hair covering parts. Noticing the boy had on the Junika school uniform, how long as he been there? Her brows knitted together, baffled once more about his appearance. Why did he look like Inuyasha, could they have been related somehow? All she knew he was an only child, he didn't have any siblings.

An anonymous jolt went through her body, sending unwanted shivers down her spine. Why was he glaring at her like that? If he was some type of compassionate person, he could have at least helped her. Grinding her teeth, she felt pissed. First he looked like her dead love, now he's questioning her like he was some adult. Her lovely brown eyes harden, returning the glare with twice the amount he was producing. He didn't intimidate her, don't know why he thought he did.

"You know, glaring at me doesn't scare me. So you could stop cause it's not going to get you the answer faster." she snapped at him, watching his brow rose on his forehead.

Amused by her come back, he drew his knee up, placing his arm on top. Soften his eyes a little, he still kept a stern gaze on her. "Who are you and how do you know my brother. Don't make up a lie like 'you were his girlfriend' cause I don't remember seeing you." he retorted, seeing that he struck a nerve in Kagome.

Her jaw tighten by that reply, feeling offended by it. Of course she was Inuyasha's girlfriend, his one and only. "What the hell are you talking about? My name is Higurashi Kagome, who the hell are you and how do you know him?"

Shaking his head, he couldn't believe that his brother would go out with someone like her. She was dumb, and she tried to be hard, knowing she wasn't. "Who do you think I am. Name's Sesshomaru and I don't have to answer your questions cause for one, you're lying and second my brother was engaged. He wouldn't lie to his woman and you are not Kikyo."

Another wave of confusion hit her with a ton of bricks. Engaged? Was he pulling her leg? Impossible, for a year Inuyasha told her that she was his one and only. Who was this Kikyo? "You're lying, he didn't have a fiancee and you are not his brother. He was an only child, he didn't have any siblings. I met his mother, she told me herself." she shouted, out of anger with the fact she was panicking.

Sesshomaru shook his head once again, digging into his blazer pocket. Pulling out a pack of cigarettes with a lighter, he took one and place it to his lips. He lit it as he took a long drag, releasing the cancerous smoke into the clean atmosphere. The heavy smell of nicotine and tobacco lingers as he look at her, unphased by her tone.

"I guess my brother was a player after all. So let's clear things up, shall we. One, he does have a sibling, me. We are not whole brothers, only half cause his mother slept with me father. Two, he fucked with you because during your 'so called' relationship he had a fiancee. Kikyo was giving to him from the time he was born. He was in love with her, so whatever bullshit he told you, you were suckered. Three and the final one, he nevered loved you, it was all a lie. So, what now? You can't do anything, he's dead. Are you going to cry just like you did back then? Or are you going to get all depressed and try suicide. All sound like a great idea, but I don' have time to watch you. I got things to do, kid." He was blunt, not caring if she done anything with herself. He was tired of seeing girls like her, crying over a guy that don't want them. With his brother case, it wasn't his fault he wanted to mess with her, she looked like the vulnerable type.

Kagome took everything in, feeling her heart just stop. Tears reached the brim of her eyes as the pain seize to stop in her head. The void slowly crept up, causing the unwanted pain she felt for three years return. Why? She questioned herself, bring her hand to her face. Covering up the shame she felt, being used by the only person she thought she could trust. What was trust, when it all come back into an excruciating lie. As the tears from her eyes flow down her cheek, she didn't sob. She refuse to let out another hysterical wail, she would hate herself for that.

Sesshomaru let out a sigh, blowing out another breath of smoke. Just staring at her was giving him a headache. He couldn't take it anymore. He knew she was crying, nothing new with that. He couldn't believe that his brother was a dog. Playing one girl for another, dying, and leaving her to suffer. Unlike her, Kikyo found herself a new plaything, him. He admit, his brother's ex-fiancee was something. Luscious curves, large perky breast, beautiful round ass, eyes that shimmered like expensive gems. Everything that seem like a fantasy all packed inside of that one girl. Finishing off his cigarette, he didn't have time to watch this girl cry her heart out. Mashing it out against the wall, he pushed himself off the floor. Standing up, he looked down at her once more before he took off. Seeing the tears drip on the floor, he groan. Maybe he should apologize to her, but than again why care.

"Look, I doubt this would help, but my brother probably did love you. Of course that would make him a two-timing whore but he didn't want to hurt you. Be happy that he's dead, he deserved it."

Kagome head shot up by that response, her tear streaked face flushed. Her eyes crossed by what he said, hating him by the moment. "I hope you burn in hell! How could you say something like that about your own brother!" she yelled at him, her voice dripping with venom.

Shoving his hands into his pants pockets, he rolled his eyes staring down the hall. "Inuyasha will never be my brother, even after death. I hate him and his mother. I even hate my own father for having any encounters with her. Listen to me, you don't know him like I did so don't go all vicious with me. I'm not one to restrain myself from hitting you, I'm not afraid to hit a woman."

"I hope you die! I hope you suffer so much pain that you would take your life."

Turning his eyes back to her, they crossed over showing how much hatred he held for her. "Unlike you, suffering would only bring me enjoyment. Better be careful around these parts, we may look like some prodigious and preppy school, but we don't fuck around either. We will hurt you, especially Kikyo, she's the queen B of this school. Just thought I should warn you..."

Sesshomaru left her sitting there, her eyes pushed out more tears. Watching him walk down the hall, she let out an anglish wail, clenching her hand into a fist. Hitting the floor over and over, she felt so much anger flow through her body. Anger for Inuyasha and all the lies he told her. Anger for crying, feeling all the unwanted emotions return. Even anger for that jackass for crushing her more than she was. She hated him, no loath him and his ways. Her knuckled busted open from the numerous impact on the hard floor. Blood seeped through the slits, turning her hand and floor red. Ignoring the pain, she couldn't stop. 'It' wouldn't let her stop until her hand was broken into pieces of hurt.

Gray eyes looked around, wondering where Kagome got to. Sai turned the corner, hoping the girl would be there. As she came within view of the hall, she let out a gasped. Hearing the impact of something colliding with something hard, she notice that Kagome was on the floor. Rushing over to the girl, she didn't know how she got down there. Coming to the young woman's side, her eyes widen seeing blood all over the place. Quickly taking off her jacket, she knelt down and grabbed Kagome's hand. Stopping her for anymore damage, she looked at her hand. Noticing that she broke some of her knuckles and it began to swell. As gently as she could, she took her jacket and wrapped it, stopping the bleeding.

Kagome felt nothing as she watched absently at Sai. Her body stopped feeling pain after awhile and numbness spread like a wild fire. Her mind was in a state of shock, she let the Zone take her once more. Sai tied it tightly, watching the blood already soak the jacket. Letting out a reasurring sigh, she look at Kagome, seeing her eyes remain in a daze. Clouded, she was looking at her, but through her.
Placing her hand on her cheek, she wiped away the tears that remind behind. What happened, how did she become so broken all of a sudden. Pulling Kagome to her, she held the girl tightly, cradling her like she was a child. Sai stroked her head, hoping that it would bring her back to reality.

"My poor baby, Kagome what happened?" she whispered softly, her voice held so much concern that she wanted to cry.

Kagome let her eyes close as she wrapped her arms around Sai's waist. She felt the darkness cover her, dripping its poison into her soul. Taking over her fragile heart, returning the ache once more. Tighten her hold, she felt more tears reach her eyes as she release them again.

"Kagome, please tell me what happened, I want to help you." Sai pleaded with her, hoping to get something out of her.

Lifting her eyelids, she shook her head. "I saw him, he returned back to me, but he was different." She finally replied, her voice became distant and incoherent

Hearing her, she didn't understand what she was talking about, her words slurred. "Kagome, what are you talking about."

Her eyes closed again, breathing the words that pierced her heart. "Inuyasha...but he called himself Sesshomaru."

Author's Note: Man, that some twisted stuff. Sorry for the vulgarity, but it helped to make the story flow alot better. I wonder what's going to happen between our two main character. Sesshomaru, the cold-hearted bastard (but I still ove him) and Kagome, the fragile rose who thorns continue to puncture her heart. Will they get together? We have to see...
