Her friends were coming, along with his cursed brother. “Sango!” Came a cry from the young miko, his brother’s wench. There were not many humans, let alone mikos that would align themselves with a half demon. He felt that he could not be responsible for what his inner demon had done to this woman and felt no remorse. Sesshoumaru stood, letting her fall carelessly to the ground but he froze as an image flashed in his mind. Her, unconscious beneath him. A tremor coursed his tall frame and he looked down at her once more. His demon had taken once while she was unconscious. He remembered her promised threat. She would hunt him down and kill him now that he had touched her again. Could she do it? Kill her mate? She was no demon so the ties were probably not as strong, but she had looked and smelled like a demon mere moments again. She had looked and smelled like him moments ago… He lifted his eyes to the path she had taken. Inuyasha was tracking her scent.
“My Lord…. What…” Jaken was still at a loss for words, his staff of two heads pointed menacingly at the young human.
“Jaken, come.” Sesshoumaru spoke as he started away. He was relieved that Rin remained asleep for she would surely make a fuss. Jaken stepped up to follow his master only to see a black and red blur shoot past him seconds before her discarded kimono engulfed him.
“My Lord!” Jaken squealed as he flung the clothes away only to see her sword come slashing down toward his Lord’s back.
Sesshoumaru turned easily and deflected her attack with his forearm. What he didn’t expect was for the blade to actually cut him. It did, it was merely a swallow cut but he should have realized that the blade was made to kill demons. That blow could have severed the limb of any lesser demon, but he was no lesser demon. He could see the shock written on her face as their eyes met. The flesh of his hand quickly turned a sickening green before her eyes. “Taste my poison.” He spoke slowly, his usual monotone, but she leapt back away from him as the arm beneath her blade struck out at her. Instantly he was on her again as she managed to just barely escape his claws. What he did not know was that Sango had experience battling some of the most fearsome demons known to feudal Japan. Despite his speed she continued dodging his claws. Her aura was bright red in her rage and easily seen. It was almost distracting to him, so strong it was. Her sword lashed out now, deflecting his claws as she attempted to resume her attacks instead of merely blocking his. They rushed forward, side by side trying to gain an advantage by heading into the upcoming ravine. Soon they were surrounded by rock walls.
Suddenly Sango stopped and charged him, the attack shocking him enough that she actually deflected his claws with a blade that popped out of the armour on her forearm. She slammed her armoured shoulder into his chest as hard as she could, forcing him back into the rock wall and putting all her weight behind her katana.
Sesshoumaru easily caught the blade in his hand and snapped the thing in half. Sango cried out at the easy destruction of her weapon and felt a new wave of rage wash through her as he knocked the broken pieces away from her.
Suddenly Sango let out a bloodcurdling scream. Lord Sesshoumaru had sunk his disgusting fangs into the horrible scar on her shoulder. He easily tore her armour away with his elongated fangs. The scar that he himself had put there now reopened for him. His arm closed around her like a vice. He managed to hold both her arms in his only arm as her blood flowed into his mouth.
The Lord found that he could no longer resist the scent of the blood pulsing in her veins. It smelled like his blood in there. Like a powerful demon Lord swimming inside her. He was assaulted by the images of his demon taking her against her will. How she had screamed out her forced willingness to become his mate…
Sango couldn’t move, she was frozen in horror; her head flung back, her mouth agape as he greedily swallowed her blood. Her body convulsed, unable to respond to her minds frantic commands, ‘fight him! Kill him now! He will kill you!’ but still she couldn’t move. Suddenly he flung her away from his body. Sango crashed into the opposite rock wall and fell to her knees, her hand reaching up to the new wound on her neck.
Sesshoumaru’s golden eyes watched as she began to change. A low growl trickled out of her human throat and his face was expressionless as her aura began to change until blazing red eyes met his. As this happened the fight seemed to seep out of her, those eyes never leaving him. Suddenly she was crawling toward him, the anger gone, and replaced by something else… The Demon Lord backed away from the look in those demonic eyes. It was desire. Where was the woman that had just sought foolishly to destroy him? Replaced my a lusty female demon? Jaken was suddenly there and standing off to the side, his eyes wide. “Wait here with Rin, Jaken.” He commanded as he suddenly rose up and away from the ravine.
She followed and Sesshoumaru let out a breath of relief. How long since he had felt such desire? It could not be! She was a human! He landed where what had to be nearly an hour walk away and waited in the thick forest. Here he would kill her, his mate.
The smell was close now. Sango was lost in her own mind. She had to get to that scent, she had too. That was all she had to do.
Sesshoumaru watched as she entered the thick forest her mind lost to the strange new blood that coursed her veins. He was there. His sword was drawn. The deadly Toukijin was waiting to slay her. She did not even pause merely dropped to all fours, her red eyes clouded with lust and staring up at him as she crawled toward him. Her hands touched his legs and he lifted the sword. She slid up his body lightening fast and buried her face in the soft fur at his shoulder, inhaling deeply. The sword dug deep into the ground as he released it and stood perfectly still.
Sango stood on her toes to bury her face in his neck. Sesshoumaru remained still, completely unmoving. She was out of her mind with his power running though her. She could not control it in the least. His hand traveled up her back slowly until he finally grasped her hair and yanked her head back. She made no sound despite how it must have hurt and met his eyes.
Sesshoumaru released her suddenly and she fell back her eyes slowly bleeding back to their normal human brown. She stared at him in utter shock and with a cry leapt to her feet and bolted toward the sound of her shouting friends. Sango got no more than ten feet before she was lifted up by her throat and slammed hard into a tree. A loud growl erupted through the forest and it was not from Sesshoumaru. “Half brother.” Sesshoumaru spoke as he looked over his shoulder to his snarling half demon brother...
