Dream Lover

SORRY, i know i didnt update when i said i was going to, i was at my gmas all weekend...sorry again!

Kagome woke up panting. She was sweating and now sitting upright in her sleeping bag. "Kagome,
are you all right?" She saw his amber eyes flash with worry as Inuyasha came into view. She looked
around and noticed they were alone. 'That's right, it's just Inuyasha and me tonight.'


"Bad dream?" He said as he jumped down from the branch he was perched on for the night.


"Huh? Uh, yeah...I guess" She was still catching her breath. Her mind was racing with questions
while her body was recovering from the intense dream.


"You okay?" Inuyasha was crouched in from of her now, staring hard at her. He was curios about
her dream, she could tell. She needed to get away before he started asking questions.


"Peachy!" She flashed him a quick smile as she stoop up. She walked over to her bag that was leaning
against a tree and started rummaging through it.


"Where ya going?" He watched as she pulled out two bottles and two towels. He could tell the dream she had
was not a nightmare. Her scent told him everything. He was fighting his inner demon's urge to just throw her
down and take her.


"Im gonna go down to the spring, I need to rinse off." She walked off in a hurry, not realizing Inuyasha wasn't
too far behind. When she got to the spring, she dipped her foot in. "mmmm...warm!" She quickly undressed and
jumped in. She waded there loving the feeling the warm water was giving her. The moon light shined off her wet naked
body.


She slowly swam to the edge and leaned against a rock. She lathered up her strawberry shampoo and rinsed her
hair. 'Who was he? Green eyes? Do I even know anybody with green eyes?' She grabbed the wash cloth and
lathered it up with her vanilla body wash. 'Uhg! What's up with my dreams? They usually tell me what's to come, but this?
Usually it's Inuyasha, but those dreams stopped a while ago. Who is he?'


She completely submerged herself in the spring to wash off the soap. Inuyasha took the opportunity and quickly undressed.
He slowly stepped into the spring. He froze instantly as Kagome came up for air, luckily she came up facing the opposite way.
He took a deep breath and moved closer towards her.


Kagome ran her finger through her hair to get it out of her face. She froze and every muscle tensed up when she suddenly felt
an arm snake around her stomach from behind. She then came crashing back first into a strong, hard chest. She felt something hard poking against her back and she gasped.


Inuyasha heard her gasp and smirked slightly. He slowly moved her hair to gain better access to her neck. Dipping his head he licked the sensitive skin. Kagome let out another gasp. He chuckled lightly. He turned her around and sighed.


"Kagome..."


She gasped yet again as he was met with golden lustful eyes. Inuyasha. "Inu...Inuyash-" She was cut off with a bone crushing
kiss. Inuyasha took advantage of the current situation and slid his toung into her warm, wet mouth. Kagome reacted, shocked
at first, then kissed him back without thinking. She closed her eyes and reveled in the feeling of his chest pressed hard against
hers, his soft lips on her.


As her eyes were closed, all she could see was green. The intense color of green that her dream lover had. Her eyes flew open
and she pulled back from the kiss gasping for air. Inuyasha held her as he too tried to catch his breath.


"Inuyasha, what-"


"I love you"


"What?" She was caught of guard. He leaned to her ear, licked the tip and whispered "I said, I love you" She shuddered at
his words.


"Inuyasha, I-" She was cut of again at the feel of his lips slowly descending down from her ear to her neck, leaving small kisses along the way. 'Now?' she thought 'Now he tells me, when I hold no feelings of that kind for him? Stupid fate!' She let a small moan escape her lips abut regretted it. 'Dammit!'


"Wait, Inuyasha...stop" She breathed.


He pulled away and looked down at her. "Kagome?"


"Inuyasha...I can't-"


"What's wro-" This time she cut him off with her finger pressed against his lips.


"Just...listen" She sighed. "Inuyasha, I can't...we can't. It's just...this doesn't feel right. You don't love me." Inuyasha stayed
quiet. He looked at her and saw the tears in her eyes.


"Why? I do love you Kagome. Just tell me why not! Don't you love me too?" His grip on her tightened.


"Yes, I do love you Inuyasha, but my love for you has changed. You don't love me for me, but for the soul I carry, for
my looks. Kikyou. I've realized that and although I do love you...my love for you is that of a friend. Do you understand?" Her
tears were silently falling now.


"No! I wont...can't except that. I love you for you, not Kikyou!" The pain in his heart was too much. It hurt so bad, he had to get
Kagome to understand. He loosened his grip and pushed back a bit. He moved his hand to her chin and tilted her head up so
he could look into her eye.


"I love you Kagome" And with that said he kissed her. A kiss so soft so gentle, so full of love. Kagome's eyes grew wide
and the tears fell like a faucet had been turned on. She pulled away and sobbed harder.


"No Inuyasha, I can't...Im sorry." She ran out of the spring and grabbed a towel to cover herself. "Im sorry Inuyasha.
Please...understand." Kagome wrapped the towel around herself to cover up as best she could and ran home, leaving
a heartbroken Inuyasha alone in the water.
