Kagome giggled as she was twirled round and round high up in the air. “Faster daddy!” she squealed. Inuyasha smiled at his young daughter. Kagome was five now and so full of life that even Inuyasha could barely keep up with her rambunctious nature. The village had pretty much adopted the child of the gentle miko and the brave hanyou.
“Are you ever tired?” Inuyasha asked his daughter as he sat her on her feet. Kagome smiled and ran off flapping her arms like wings. Inuyasha sighed and smiled to himself, he’d never thought that he’d be able to raise the tiny creature that had first been placed in his arms, and now she was running around and causing mischief.

“Dad I want to know about mom, I think sixteen is old enough.” Kagome stated. Inuyasha sighed he’d put off telling her about her mother to save his own heart from the pain.
“I met your mother when she was fifteen years old, and at first I didn’t really like her because she reminded me of someone else who had betrayed me.” Inuyasha said he paused and took a deep breath before telling the entire story all the way up to Kagome’s day of birth.
“I killed my mother?” Kagome asked, her eyes brimming with unshed tears.
“No, no you didn’t.” Inuyasha said hugging his daughter. She cried into his shoulder Kagome eventually calmed down and enough that she drifted off to sleep making Inuyasha carry her to her futon.

Inuyasha still didn’t like the fact that his only daughter had become the mate of Koga and Ayame’s son Jin, but seeing how his daughter was overflowing with happiness he couldn’t very well say that he didn’t approve. Inuyasha felt a stab of pain as he watched his daughter wave one last time before disappearing over the last hill of the village to start a family of her own.
Inuyasha found himself walking to the grave of his own mate and kneeled in front of the stone. He absent mindedly plucked weeds his head down in shame. “I am so sorry Kagome, look at how bad I’ve let this place grow up, I should have taken better care of it, but I’ve been so busy with our daughter you should see her Kagome she looks so much like you.” he said breaking into sobs the tears falling into the soil.

“Wake up Inuyasha.” came a soft familiar voice. Inuyasha groaned and cracked his eyes open coming face to face with the only real love of his life. She smiled at him her right hand resting against his left cheek.
“Either I’m dreaming or my demon blood has finally made me senile.” he stated. His eyes widened with surprise. Kagome smiled and kissed his cheek.
“If it is a dream then it is a good one.” Kagome said before kissing him. Inuyasha smiled and wrapped his arms around her. “Oh Inuyasha I’ve missed you so much and our daughter is so beautiful, we’ll have grandchildren someday!” she said excitedly placing kisses all over his face. Inuyasha smiled.
“Now you must wake up, wake up Inuyasha.” Kagome said her voice become fainter.

Inuyasha cracked an eye open and came face to face with a pair of mis matched eyes and a pair of green eyes.
“Geez dad do you always sleep this late?” Kagome asked. Inuyasha took in the green eyed young demon standing next to his daughter and sighed.
“Keh, what’s going on?” Inuyasha asked standing and stretching. Kagome and Jin looked at each other and smiled.
“Well we have a couple who are anxious to meet you dad.” Kagome said smiling. Inuyasha looked around the hut in confusion.
“I don’t see anyone.” Inuyasha said looking at his daughter as if she had a few bolts loose. Kagome and Jin turned around to show what was resting in the slings on their backs. Inuyasha’s eyes widened as he took in the sight of the twins each sleeping peacefully.
“I would have come sooner but it just wasn’t safe for them.” Kagome stated. Inuyasha smiled, he had grandchildren. He swooned and nearly fell feeling light headed.
“I hadn’t realized I was so ancient.” Inuyasha stated. Kagome smiled and kissed her father on the cheek.
“You’re not ancient dad, Uncle Sesshomaru is ancient.” she stated. Inuyasha grinned evilly. Sesshomaru that was someone he hadn’t heard from in years he’d moved to Europe after he found himself a mate a human woman by the name Kokoro from what Inuyasha could remember she was an attractive woman though slightly pudgy and curvy with long black hair, grey eyes, large pouty lips and a kind heart, the last he heard their children totaled to about ten and rising. Inuyasha new that Sesshomaru was trying to keep his family from the violence of the last remaining demons fighting the humans for land by leaving the country.
