Chapter 2


Kagome didn’t notice Sango swimming out to her. She had other things on her mind and didn’t feel like talking. ‘What I am I thinking I’m starting to sound like Inuyasha’ Surprised by her thought. Now realizing she was still a little mad at him.

“God he gets me so mad” Kagome took a long sigh.

‘He is so damn cute even when I’m mad at him.’ Realizing what she said she began to blush 5 shades of red.

Sango swimming closer could now see the dark color on her friends face and knew she was thinking about Inuyasha.

Kagome was in mid thought when she was interrupted by Sango’s question “Why don’t you tell him?”

Sango tilted her head waiting for Kagome to answer.

“Tell who what?” Kagome tried to play dumb hoping it would work.

“ You know who I’m talking about and don’t play dumb with me,” Sango eyes flashed.

“Sango I can’t … What if he doesn’t feel the same way. If I don’t say anything nothing will change. I don’t think I can take the risk,” Kagome looked at Inuyasha than back to Sango.

“But if you don’t try how will you know if he feels the same way. Haven’t you ever thought he might feel the same way you do?” Sango smiled.

“Yeah it was there but the way he treats me sometimes I don’t think he does.” Kagome said in a small voice.

“Hell you two!!! I can’t believe it. You act the same way he does but you love him. Why wouldn’t he feel the same way?” Sango realized she might have said it a little to loud.

“Sango I love him so much but even if he feels the same way how will I know that he won’t leave me?” Her thoughts switched to when she saw Inuyasha and Kikyou kissing and then the tears started down her face.

Sango hugged her friend “Come on Kagome let’s go sit down.” Kagome nodded in agreement.

They sat with their feet in the water Sango still hugging her friend trying to comfort the tears. Kagome started to cry a little harder then before.

Sango thought of how she could cheer her up then it came to her. Sango smiled at Kagome “Hey you think you got problems at least Inuyasha doesn’t grab your ass.” Sango started to shake her head but than Kagome broke out in a laugh.

She managed to say in between her laughs “I wouldn’t mind if he did at least I would know he likes me.” Kagome gave Sango a big grin soon both girls were laughing.

Inuyasha watched the girls talking. He smelt tears and wondered why Kagome was crying also he thought he heard Sango say that Kagome loves him but he wasn’t sure. “What the hell is going on?” he muttered to himself.

Miroku walked up behind Inuyasha with a lecherous smile “I knew you had it in ya”.

Inuyasha whipped his head around looking at Miroku “Actually I was watching Sango Slap you around. What did you do any way?”

“I swam up behind her and grabbed her beautiful rear. I told her I was sorry but I don’t think she believed me.” he smiled happily.

“You never learn do you?" Inuyasha laughed.

“Nope” Miroku grinned widely.

Inuyasha went back to watching the girls.

Miroku glanced at Inuyasha “What’s wrong?”

“Nothing” Inuyasha replied not really feeling like talking.

“You know your bad at lying” Miroku grinned. “It’s Kagome isn’t it?"

“Yeah” Inuyasha gave a low mutter.

“What are you going to tell me that you fell in love with her?” Miroku smiled knowing he was just teasing.

Inuyasha gave him a short nod and looked away.

“You fell in love with her!” Miroku looked surprised.

Inuyasha turned back to him “I think I might have but I’m not sure. All I know is that I want to be with her and no one else. I didn’t even feel this way about Kikyou.” He had no clue why he was telling Miroku all this.

“You have to tell her.” Miroku firmly said

“Yeah I’ll tell her then she’ll slap me and sit me all at the same time. I don’t think so.” Inuyasha flinched a bit.

“Maybe she won’t you at least have to try. She could feel the same way and you wouldn’t even know it.” Miroku was actually making some sense for a change.

“I guess your right I should tell her but when tomorrow, a year from now?” Inuyasha thinks a year from now sounded far enough away.

Then he heard Miroku “You should tell her tonight or you’ll keep putting it off.”

Inuyasha knowing Miroku was right he sighed, “I’ll tell after we eat. Does that sound good?”

Miroku just nods “Yes that sounds right. Now I think it’s time to head back.”

“Yeah your right you call the girls and we’ll go.” Miroku yelled down that there going and they started to head back. They all walked in silence until they reached the village.

Everyone was at the village and they were getting hungry.

“I’m hungry,” Inuyasha grumbled as he looked at Kagome.

Kagome rolled her eyes “Fine I'm going home than.” She started to walk toward the direction of the well.

Inuyasha yelled, “Kagome you can’t walk by yourself it’s not safe!”

“I’m fine I’m just going to get more supplies.” She yelled back

Inuyasha caught up with her “Then let me give you a ride.”

Kagome stopped “Uh…well okay.” She slightly blushed getting on his back. Kagome thinks to herself ‘God I love touching him’ at the thought she felt suddenly warm in her special place.

Inuyasha noticed that her scent changed a bit then he smiled knowing she was aroused. ‘Well maybe she does like me.’ Now thrilled by the thought.

“You ready” He asked.

Kagome nodded “Yeah I’m ready.”

It did take them long to get to the well. Kagome climb off his back blushing a little more remembering the warm feeling she just had.

“I’ll be right back” Kagome’s back was turned while she said it. She walked to the well and jumped in.

Inuyasha took in her scent deeply as a new feeling came over him.
